  2. More nonsense. This is from GIG's FB ( I put the bold print) "Gluten Intolerance Group of North America · 5,488 like this about an hour ago · Let us be clear about the facts: 1. On May 18, 2012, GIG posted on our FB the announcement that NFCA gave suspending the Amber Designation AND thanked NFCA for removing the Amber designation from the GREAT P...
  3. The tips of the villi that are damaged by Celiac are the part that digests dairy. Of course, some of your intestines likely are fine. It's not all or nothing for most people. I didn't give up all dairy when I first went gluten-free. I reduced it. I didn't have cheese and crackers for dinner or snack but I had some blue cheese on my salad or 1 slice of...
  4. Its pretty greasy. Maybe that was it? No problem with Hormel products. Logically, if none of the meat products have gluten, probably not cc.
  5. I get pink and blue sponges. Pink is for gluten-free. It might be a bit of a pain but you could put your pink sponge in a bowl or plate and put it in the cabinet under the sink when not in use?
  6. You could bring them here. They would like where you live and want to stay!
  7. I should send the boys! That poor chickie needs a bionic tail. Cooper could come and scare the raccoons. He doesn't chase birds or bunnies or cats but the presence of a big black dog should keep those nasty raccoons away.
  8. I have 2 boys who need work! They love animals and have more lightbulbs than they can use ( thanks to a FIRST Robotics fundraiser selling lightbulbs)
  9. For those who hate to clean the blender: I make extra smoothie. I put it in microwaveable cups in the freezer. When I want a smoothie, I microwave about 1 minute and stir. You could freeze it in baggies or small containers. If you freeze it all together, you will be chipping at it to get a serving. Also, make extra smoothies into Popsicles. Imagine...
  10. here's the article posted yesterday about Frito Lays gluten-free labelling. Chip lovers will be happy.
  11. That's an odd ingredient for coffee. But it's gluten free.
  12. http://glutenfreeville.com/research/amberditched. ( to read more of the article) "Thanks to an organized gluten free community and initiative led by 1 in 133 founders Jules Shepard and John Forberger
  13. It's not a law in the US that a company disclose that. Many companies don't. You may be buying and eating products that are processed in the same facility and don't state it on the label.
  14. Fast response from Cutter. I guess they are made by the same company as Repel. "Thank you for contacting United Industries regarding our Cutter Advanced products.
  15. Yeah! "The North American Society for the Study of Celiac Disease (NASSCD) today announced a call for all restaurants and food manufacturers to properly label gluten-free products to avoid confusion that has the potential to threaten the health of people with celiac disease."
  16. Forgot to ask Cutter. I just sent them a note. I know we aren't supposed to ingest them but I think we have all tasted it on our lips or had some on our fingers.
  17. This is the response I got from Repel: "Thank you for contacting United Industries regarding our Repel Repellents. Ingredients considered potentially hazardous are listed on the product label and on the MSDS. The unlisted ingredients are generally regarded as safe by the United States EPA. Unlisted ingredients are considered proprietary and are not generally...
  18. Wrote to OFF and got this response that pertains only to the 100% DEET product. Asked for info o the others. Will post when I get them. I think the main concern would be that they use something like wheat germ oil to make it spread and not be drying to skin. "Thanks for reaching out to us, Karen. Although I can't be sure which kind of OFF!
  19. I didn't make myself clear. To people who may read this thread looking for info on Dominos pizza and gluten free: Please to not post serious questions or concerns about Dominos & the supposed gluten-free pizza on this thread. We have an established thread for that and you can find real information about this important subject there. From...
  20. I agree with the dirty Grouch. For people reading this: This section is for joking around and discussion of other topics Iike "what book you are reading". Please don't post any serious discussion here of this subject here. I would like people to realize the real discussion of the not really gluten free "gluten-free pizza" is here :
  21. We use the plain & chunk. There is nothing in the ingredients to suggest gluten.
  22. Once again, a newbie has misunderstood the original letter from the company. The original letter says they will label all of the glutens if they are present. If the MFS had gluten, they would have labelled it. Also, this is a US product and products in other contries may have different ingredients or laws. The current website that Sylvia linked to says...
  23. Wood chuck ciders are gluten-free. They even say so on them.
