  1. It's a mystery! Because drywall dust isn't good for anyone to breathe, you should use a respirator or at least an allergy/ sawdust mask. We have a respirator mask and it was less than $100, probably less than $50. I can't remember. My kids re- do thier cars & build robots and things, so we needed one. They do make you look like a creature from Star...
  2. I was reading & it said corn starch for those particular gloves. It also said powdered gloves are falling out of favor but still used.
  3. Didn't happen to me. Just speaking up for the minority on here. I think that, on this forum, we have 2 main groups of posters. We have people new to Celiac/ gluten intolerance and we have posters who are having problems even on a gluten-free diet. I think a lot of the folks that are like me, learn the basics and go away. I think most newbies...
  4. The date of this study might make a difference if the wall board industry has changed the composition of the dry wall. Industries do sometimes drastically change what a product is made from in 10+ years. For instance " wood" siding changed the ingredients in the late 90's as some sidings rotted too quickly. Sometimes an ingredient, for lack of a better...
  5. It was $25 for the whole visit. So $25 if you stayed 1 night or 21 nights. Also, I could have had a microwave for another $25. We weren't there much so I didn't bother. I specifically asked the corporate reservations and then the hotel. Both said the same thing.
  6. Open Original Shared Link Just saw this on my FB. If anyone knows of other camps that do a good job of gluten free, please add to this thread.
  7. I just stayed in the Sheraton in Clayton, MO. They charged $25 to get a fridge in your room for medical needs. Didn't ask for proof of need. I can afford the $25 but this is the first time I have heard of this. Has anyone else had this? I'm wondering if they charged the kid in the wheelcahir to use the elevator or extra for an accessible room! I will...
  8. An old woman came into her doctor's office and confessed to an embarrassing problem. "I do that all the time, Doctor Johnson, but they're soundless, and they have no odor. In fact, since I've been here, I did it no less than twenty times. What can I do?" "Here's a prescription, Mrs. Harris. Take these pills three times a day for seven days and come back...
  9. I think lasagna freezes well. Not sure about spaghetti. Meatballs freeze well & so does pasta sauce. You could get those Uncle Bens microwave rice. Open Original Shared Link I have only looked at the plain so check ingredients of the other flavors. You can put pasta sauce in it and top with mozarella cheese & melt it. Or some frozen veggies...
  10. Thanks! I intended to say that but forgot! I still would like to see some reputable source of the info when a person makes these " unusual" statements.
  11. The thought of undigested food particles , large enough you can tell they are bread or lettuce in the blood, seems incredible. They would clog up your small blood vessels causing small parts of your body to die. The strokes this would cause in your brain alone, should have you unable to post here with in days. If the holes in the intestines were so large...
  12. Are they a chain restaurant ? Perhaps you would get answers from emailing the corporate office?

    Losing Weight

The best way to get answers to your questions is by posting in the Forum. Maybe a topic under the weight issues section?
  14. If you would like to get answers and have a discussion, please post this on the Forum as a new topic in the Post Diagnosis Thread.
  15. You said that you had strep. If it was a sore throat, could you have been eating gluten-free for a few days? Ice cream, jello, smoothies, etc? It's also possible that some of the sores had some infection to them and the antibiotics helped that.
  16. Or clothes from the past. Like little house on the prairie or 1920s flapper
  17. Saw this on FB. From Perpetual Kid. Not exactly a joke but a funny idea: This weekend, you should try walking into a store all panicked and ask what year it is. When they respond with 2012, smile... start laughing uncontrollably and start screaming, "IT WORKED!!! IT WORKED!!!" If you can capture this on video, even better.
  18. This thread, unfortunately, is about coffee. If you would like to start one about chiropractors and what or why they are qualified, you may. If it is a serious discussion, you could put that in the Doctors section.
  19. Right or wrong , business is often conducted over a meal. You don't have to eat. I know it's emotional, but it's your job. If you have to be at a staff meeting and it's held at a restaurant , dont eat. When asked, do as the previous poster said. My hub goes to lots of food related meetings. Sometimes he doesn't eat . Others dont always eat. You can...
  20. It sounds like the important part is that it is a required staff meeting, It just happens to be held at a restaruant. Not going would be missing a mandatory meeting. Unless you are a food tester, eating can't be mandatory. I wouldn't have maade a fuss with the GM. I would have just gone and had an iced tea or coffee. If asked why I'm not eating, I would...
  21. I like the one that comes in the green 6 pack.! Tread lightly it's called.
  22. Some people can't tolerate canola, some can't tolerate soy, etc. it's separate from Celiac. Is she having cows milk with this cereal? Because Celiac damages the part of the intestine that digests milk, it can be hard to take. The cinnamon could be irritating. It could be lots of things. Sometimes it's hard to know.
  23. Nik ran her legs off! Congrats! Jess has feathery babies with cute names! Rach didn't have to clean the garage! Way to go!
  24. Hi Steph! Hope you are still kicking butts! You did put it on a thread about a blogger who says that coffee acts like gluten or some such nonsense. That might have made it look like you were maybe agreeing with the nonsense. I think we have established that it disagrees with you but has nothing to do with gluten, or fooling the intestines to...
