  1. Well! There you go! Good luck, enjoy the massive quantities of gatorade!
  2. So that's what tapioca is? Well that makes it easier!
  3. Open Original Shared Link Has anyone used cassava? This sounds interesting to try. Last night my hub and 16 year old son were encouraging me to bake and try different breads. Poor things baked goods needs have been ignored. If you have used this flour, what did you use it for and where did you find it?
  4. Unless your endoscopy is tomorrow, you need to be eating gluten to get an accurate biopsy. If you know gluten bothers you, you can just decide to be gluten free without an official diagnosis. And save a few thousand dollars on the procedure.
  5. I'm not sure if you are currently gluten-free or not. Remember that being gluten-free will effect the blood or endoscopy results. Your endoscopy will likely appear ok as some of the superficial damage will heal if you are gluten free.
  6. Sounds like a CYA statement. They don't test for gluten.
  7. Please don't say that to Gee Eff! It goes to his head. As you can see by his self- portrait, his head is already inflated.
  8. It can take awhile to make you feel bad. It has to get into the small intestine and get noticed to start the antibodies.
  9. She's holding the lollipop up to the camera so we can see the logo? Its her space alien baby? Or do you mean her red hair beside the loli? The side that's in the sun looks red and her second pony tail is blowing a bit. Her hair is layered so in pony tails, some is shorter than the rest. It does look odd. Someone didn't edit the picture? Don...
  10. Wish I could help. I find it hard to do on my iPhone. I don't think everything shows up. I use an iPad or PC.
  11. Show them this website from experts on celiac. You can google celiac centers and find more if you need to. A lifetime commitment The gluten-free diet is a lifetime requirement. Eating any gluten, no matter how small an amount, can damage your intestine. This is true for anyone with the disease, including people who do not have noticeable symptoms. It...
  12. My thoughts : The test is positive but you knew that deep inside. I knew it would be, too but wished it wasn't. She wants to discuss where to go from here. To a GI, maybe some blood tests for vitamin deficiencies. If she tested for those, she may want to discuss you taking supplements and re- testing in 6 months to make sure they are returning to...
  13. I think the hard part, and what will trigger a closer look at your taxes by the IRS, is the " difference ". If you come up with a way to do it, let us know.
  14. There are health department laws about cleaning food machinery. It's not like there is some gooey stuff from the previous item left on the conveyor belt. The company isn't going to send fruit snack thru a bunch of cereal crumbs. They have been" working " on a law in the US for many years. We have had info on here about contacting the lawmakers to...
  15. How about the Cuban guy with the very un- Cuban name from Dancing with the Stars? William Levy? Nik, you will need to google him, so that you can ogle him!
  16. Because Celiac isn't an allergy to wheat, it could show you as not allergic to it. Doesn't mean you can eat wheat.
  17. Actually, in the US, they do not have to declare gluten, only wheat. However, most companies will not hide barley/ malt but will list it in the ingredients. Read the ingredient list always.
  18. I'm thinking she might need two pirates to keep her warm?
  19. In the US, it's voluntary. There are no laws for gluten-free labelling. Wheat is one of the allergens they have to state clearly in the ingredients if it's put into the product on purpose.
  20. No. I don 't worry it. Slight possibility a flavored coffee might have barley but the few I have seen, don' t.
  21. The original post is almost 6 years old. Re-check any product info that is that old. Product ingredients and manufacturing practices change in that much time. FYI, Celiac is not a " gluten allergy"
  22. This is not true on the US Wendy's site . I'm not sure they are in other countries. Just as I said and the post above this one has said, they list them as not containing gluten but the potential to contain gluten if fryed in a shared fryer.
  23. Not accordinging to Wendy's. They list them as not containing gluten but possibly fried in the same oil as gluten. Open Original Shared Link
  24. If they cook other things in the oil, there are going to be little pieces of the breading in the oil. That isn't thier fault, just a "fact of frying". People with Celiac don't eat fries made in a shared fryer.
  25. Did you use the colander to drain the noodles? Was it the same one you used for gluten noodles? Colanders are really hard to get everything out of each hole.
