  1. But what about the poor kitties & chickies? If you take them it will be more like Noah's Ark then the Love Boat.
  2. I called Hornsbys about a year ago. They said that Crisp Apple is definitely gluten-free. The Amber has some barley at an early stage of processing. It is likely destroyed and shows as no gluten if tested but they tell Celiacs not to drink that flavor. Other than that, I think all the ones I have seen are gluten-free.
  3. Ok. This is a little more info. Definetly go in for a sick child visit tomorrow. At the least, they will send you home with nothing but....it will now be on record. If he isn't better in a few more days, you have " proof". Makes them take it more seriously. Hope the little dude is OK.
  4. Sorry. I missed his age. I guess I thought he was a bit older. I would call the pediatrician. He is pretty young. You would want a doctor to evaluate if he is dehydrated, etc.
  5. Could be a bug, could be a glutening. Hard to know. I know one of my boys, even now at 16, gets a stomach virus, he feels fine & eats fine but has some diarhea for a few days. The true test of being well - hydrated is peeing. He isn't a Celiac. Also, is he getting enough fiber to form stools? Something to consider. If he is well hydrated, a...
  6. Before gluten-free, I used white vinegar to dissolve the flour out of the little cracks of my mixer and off the counter.

    ARCHIVED Cravings!

Some advice for replacing gluten favorites with gluten-free versions- Wait......then wait some more.... Try not to replace a beer with a gluten-free one right away. Wait until you have sort of forgotten the " real" beer. Drink ciders, wine or something else for a while. The same is true for other foods like a baguette bread, chocolate chip cookies...
  8. We go to Costco. I have noticed that different Costco's have different items. 2 years ago, we went to the one in Reno & they had almond flour and a couple of others I can't remember now. Not at our Costco in Kansas. Some people have gotten a gluten-free tortellini or ravioli but I look every time..... I do get my favorite Crunchmasters crackers...
  9. Several of his comments sounded like that to me, too.
  10. I know many have good luck with Five Guys but isn't that the most likely gluten cc? I have seen the bun guy wrap the bunless burgers. I have been to one that grills the buns if people ask- right with the burgers.
  11. Rachelle lives in the US so I don't know if that feed is available where you are.
  12. If you put the words " gluten free" in the name, when people googled, it would come up. Also, if someone drove by, they would call me & say " a gluten-free bakery opened by my office!". Gluten Free Girl (boy?) Bakes The Gluten Free Baker gluten Free Goodies
  13. Perhaps you should look at recent posts in the DH section of the forum? You might find some good info in that section on DH.

    ARCHIVED What Could It Be?

Butterball is gluten-free. You can check the website. We have had more recent discussions about turkey.
  15. That does not mean there is gluten in the soda. You can certainly react to an ingredient.
  16. Hey there sunshine...How was your weekend?

Did you survive the younger generation? LOL

    Tell me about it! LOL

    ARCHIVED Cheddar's

Since the original post is almost 6 years old, things may have changed with this restauraunt chain. I know we got one recently. My parents had loved one they went to a few years before in another city. They went a few months ago & the menu was different and they were disappointed. Nothing to do with the gluten-free menu for them, just som of thier...
  18. EEEEWWWWW...DOG BREATH...LOL!!!

I LOVE that picture...I had a black Lab when I was in high school...we used to roller skate together...MAN...there was a dog with DOG BREATH!!!Her name was SAMANTHA...whats your dogs name?(No the dog didn't wear rollerskates...just me!!!)I used to skate with two dogs attached to a long leash,(very fast) LOL!

  19. please check out the current thread on Advil and generic versions we have been discussing this week.
  20. You are responding to an almost 5 year old thread. Product info and manufacturing practices change in that amount of time.
  21. I scrub the inside of my crockpot with Barkeepers Friend. If you wanted to be sure you have it clean, you could "cook" water in it for 8 hours. Then clean again. I really didn't use much gluten in mine before. Use vinegar and water around the creases on mixers or the lid of the crockpot. It seems to dissolve the flour out.
  22. This is my opinion - if I were positive it was only the grass, I might.....might...try it. I worry that nothing grows at exactly the same rate so couldn't there still be a bit of the seed at the bottom or some of the grass has started to seed at the top? I sort of think of it like my yard. There are always a few pieces of grass with seeds if I look closely...
  23. Don't they make yogurt from coconut? Maybe some other things? I don't have a dairy problem so it didn't register. Edited to add: This company makes the best "ice cream". I will try the yogurt. Open Original Shared Link
  24. Good idea on the signing the tape overlaps! Why did my sneaky mind not think of that! And if you wrap the tape around the container a few times & different directions .I would think it would be hard to get it back on the same without bubbles, gaps, wrinkles, etc.
  25. My mom always used the instant potatoes. I would just put some in & see how it goes. When you get a hour away from eating, I would think you could add more. When I add peas, I add them toward the end or they get too mushy. Not sure about the onion powder. Maybe McCormicks website would say? I put corn in my chili. Forgot, if you put really small...
