  1. No. If it has gluten it will be listed as wheat, malt or barley malt in the ingredients.
  2. Shouldn't be any gluten in cream cheese. Unless someone was using it on gluten bagels and got crumbs in it.
  3. The response before had been that the special holiday colors might be run on the same lines as the pretzel ones. If I think of it, I will check the Easter colors to see if they say that. That may be the ones they are talking about. Thanks for sharing this. I just had some peanut ones yesterday.
  4. No. I didn't mean to be cruel. I'm sorry that wasn't inteneded. I just meant that "raising Cain" with the poor clerk that has to make the copies only causes more trouble. Being "loud enough" that all the waiting patients hear could be seen as yelling.
  5. My hub bought a " camp stove". It's got a little gas bottle. You can make about 4 burgers. We also got a metal " tray" that goes on a grill to cook things like fish that would fall apart. If you are grilling food prepared by someone else, you will need to be careful. I just saw a chef on Tv make burgers with bread crumbs! Or soy sauce! We're the...
  6. I can't really comment on the tests but I can say that : You have found out one of the secrets of US medical care! Offering to pay, in cash at the time of service can give you some bargaining power on cost. It costs a hospital a lot of money to bill insurance companies ( more than the cost of a person to send a bill ). I worked at a hospital that...
  7. I use Williams Chili seasoning. It's just spices. There are others, too. Read the lemon seasoning ingredients.
  8. She can give the poor girl who is making $8 an hour a little time to get the papers together. The reports are probably in the docs inbox on his desk or where ever they keep stuff that the doc hasn't " read." there is no need to be rude with the receptionist or the record clerk. Yes, in the US, you have a right to a copy of your medical records. They...

    ARCHIVED Pf Changs

I have always had good luck with PF Changs. I make sure to say gluten free and the food comes on special plates so you can tell it came from that side of the kitchen. I do tend to eat too much and it is very salty. They give you a fortune cookie but they are not gluten-free. People just want the fortunes. If you haven't been gluten-free for long...
  10. That's great! I hope its OK.
  11. Looks like you got lucky and were diagnosed before too much damage was done. Also possible that they took 4 microscopic biospies of 16 feet of small intestine and missed the worst spots.
  12. I had copied the link to my iPad " notes" section so I wouldn't lose it! May not make any until Thanskgiving, but can't wait to say " why yes! I made everything! Even the butter!"
  13. Here's the one about making the butter. Its Emily about 10 posts down. It was a sad thread but the OP didn't come back to let us know how she is doing. Emily got the Whipping cream at Aldi really cheap. I thought it would be fun to add herbs, garlic or honey.
  14. If this were me, I would go to the GI office and ask for a copy of my results (procedure report and pathology report). I would tell them that my doctor asked me to get them & bring them with me. You tried to call but no one answers. You would be happy to come back in 2 hours to pick them up. If you feel like that's a lie, you could tell them...
  15. I merged her 2 separate threads so that all the information can be together. It will be easier for everyone to respond this way.
  16. A bit more information would help. Perhaps you could post what you or she eats in a typical day? Maybe we could find something you might be missing or should add to your diet. I'm sure the weight of 2 pounds is a typo. How long have you and she been gluten-free? How were you diagnosed? Did they check for any vitamin deficiencies? parasites? Are...
  17. Did you think about emailing the company, yourself?
  18. If I had seen the chocolate at the store, read the ingredients and it didn't mention wheat or malt anywhere, I would have eaten them. But now that I have "seen" that the website says not to eat them I will try to remember not to. Whether its a CYA statement or not,it is different from the standard "we don't add gluten but can't guarantee the procdures...
  19. In the case of a fryer - no gluten isn't "killed". IF gluten was destroyed during frying, then onion rings, mozarella sticks, etc would not have the nice floury crispy coating still intact. Haven'tyou ever gotten fries with an onion ring piece mixed in? Pizza is cooked at 500F at pizza places. The gluten is still intact or you wouldn't have a crust. ...
  20. One thing to do is put a thin layer of icing on the cake. Let it be full of crumbs. Then freeze briefly to harden the icing. Now put a nice thick layer on. All the crumbs are caught in the " crumb layer" and the top layer is nice.
  21. The major ones in the US are gluten-free. Probably all the others, too. Just check ingredients. I think it could be slightly possible to have barley malt as a sweetener in some expensive specialty soda drink.
  22. Look under my dog pic here. See the envelope & the little " guy"? If you push the little envelope you can directly pm someone.
  23. I actually hadn't thought of it until you mentioned it.
  24. You wouldn't see them on yourself. You wouldn't pm yourself. I see them on you but not on me.
  25. The topic goes into the category it belongs in or better fits. For instance, you posted this in " coping". It's a question about how the forum works, not a question about how to deal with your feelings about Celiac. So I moved it to the Technical section, where it belongs. For example, say you want some recipe ideas, you look in the cooking section...
