  1. Certainly your personal glutening experiences are extreme compared to most, but they are your experiences. What I would like to see is where the info on cc causing your carotid arteries to shut down blood flow. I haven't heard or read that anywhere. If the carotids do this, wouldn't all arteries do that? Where did you read this?
  2. That would be great! You are not the first, nor will you be the last, to miss the dates on old posts.
  3. This info is over 3 years old. Products change. You should call the manufacturer of your medication if you want to find out gluten currently in the medication.
  4. Do you want to say what city that is? If I go there I would know. I like a good pizza when traveling.
  5. This is a crockpot one. Beef stew can be thickened with potato buds (instant mashed potatoes) or even a little corn starch. This one uses Rapid tapioca. Crockpot Beef Stew 2 lbs beef stew meat, cubed 5 carrots sliced thinly 1 onion, diced 3 ribs of celery, diced 5 potatoes cubed (use the yellow potatoes and you don't need to peel them) 28 oz...
  6. They would never respond, as anything they said in a letter to you could be used in court. If it was calm, well written & not abusive (which is probably what you wrote) they threw the letter away. If your anger shone through or you cussed a bit, questioned his medical credentials or called his ethics into question - they put it in your chart with a...
  7. Maybe you should pull her aside without all the others. Ask why she makes fun of your health problems when you don't make fun of hers? Or if you are a bit afraid of that, I guess you could ask the youth counselor to be there to.
  8. A food sealer is like this. You were posting while I was. I think if you wrap duct tape around several times really tight, they can't tamper with it without you knowing. Duct tape sticks to my frozen plastic containers. Open Original Shared Link
  9. DO your parents know? Maybe if the parents insist to the youth leaders, they will be more watchful. Here's what I would do if I were you and determined to go. Make sure you have some safe & filling things in your purse or suitcase. Packets of nuts, packets of peanut butter, Lara bars, fruit snacks, etc. Things that can't be tampered with or if...
  10. Your a teenager, right? Have you told your parents or the leaders of this youth group? These are not your friends, they are criminals who are assaulting you. I know you want to go but if you cannot go safely, you shouldn't go. If you knew they might be putting arsenic in your food, would you say nothing and go? If you have one of those peanut allergies...
  11. That's what happens when you move into a new place. The internet service doesn't follow along nicely.
  12. don't they have a PF Changs? HyVee groceries usually have a good selection of gluten-free, some a better selection then WF.
  13. Sometimes I just get "off". If we ate like my dog, we would know we got the right amount of fiber, proteins, sugar, etc everyday. And it would be the same everyday. But we eat different things and sometimes it isn't the most balanced each day. Somedays we get more fat or less fiber, etc. It can get our system out of whack.
  14. I think all of them are fine. Read the ingredients. I like to get the kinds that have less "odd" things in them. just beans, salt, maybe citric something as a perservative. I don't get the hydrolized, autolyzed ingredients. They don't contain gluten but I don't need all that. I just want beans.
  15. I was going to say that, too. In the US, The icing seems to have soy in every flavor and sometimes milk. Even without soy or milk, its possible eating something like that in one day would upset the balance for a few days. I find that if I eat something I don't usually eat a little bit is OK. Alot at once or some over several days can leave me feeling...
  16. It was just 2 weeks ago or less that you were still eating and drinking gluten so I doubt you are healed. Maybe you will be one of the lucky ones & your reactions will not be too bad. That doesn't mean it is OK to keep eating breaded chicken and drinking beer. Even if you don't feel too bad, you are still damaging yourself.
  17. I posted my hubs foil creations on here somewhere. I'll see if I can find them in a little while. Be back. These were posted for a gluten-free Boy Scout. The key is a little bit of liquid like BBQ sauce or salsa. Here we go: Chicken Fajita: 2 raw chicken tenders or chicken breast cut (1/4 to 1/2 lb.) 1 cup frozen pepper & onion mix (could...
  18. It doesn't matter because they will label them with the statement if they are made on the pretzel lines.
  19. 6 weeks isn't very long. It could be that part of the healing hurts or the normal gut flora is off and something isn't working smoothly yet. It could have been a virus. The vomiting then gets everything out of whack and can take awhile to get the internal environment back to where it should be. Maybe she got something gluteny at school? I would make...
  20. If I bring something to share, I just bring a small container of it for me. Sometimes it gets put somewhere & I can't get it first The foil thing made me remember. You could bring foil dinners. A double thick foil packet with little pieces of chicken, BBQ sauce and some veggies to put on the grill. There are endless combinations, my hub even...
  21. This is exactly why I have stopped trying to help Alice. She either isn't listening, she is purposefully trying to get attention or she wants to hurt herself and be "saved". I don't believe she is the traditional "troll" trying to incite a big argument or push crazy theories over & over. I feel sad for her but I also have hope that she will come around...

Yeah! That's what happens. On the bright side, when they are 12 and you are " the meanest mom evah!" you can remind them of what they did to your cute figure. Seriously, a lot of times it will go back into place. Glad the baby is doing good.
  23. OK! I got it! I put my cursor over the red dot on Cougie & it said "remove friend". Since Cougie & I are already friends, we can't "friend" (green) each other we can only "unfriend" (red) . Try it Cougie. Unfriend me then see if the dot turns green.
  24. cougie- your little guy has a negative or red dot when I look too!. Do we have a note to each other or something that we haven't read. I actually positived someone today so its not that. I'll go look at messages.
