  1. Are you talking about alcohol or any drink? Some of those " health" drinks, like protein shake might have something. Read the ingredients.
  2. I think we might have found it! There's a strange smell coming from the back of the Robotics bus! Wait! That's just a couple of Freshmen!
  3. I read it at first as " but yours aren't real". I thought they were referring to bust enhancement and wondered what that had to do with Celiac.
  4. And time unclogging the toliet!
  5. 70 F yesterday. Snow that didn't stick this a.m. Beautiful & sunny now. Robot not doing well. Lots of the kids, including M, are having a good time dancing and playing some sort of tag games. Right now M is trying to trade a silver cowboy hat for a girl from another team's pink hat.

    ARCHIVED IHOP

That's why I said US. I have heard that in the UK & in NZ, they like to add trash fillers to things like sausages. And now bacon. Its a bunch of baloney!

    ARCHIVED IHOP

I have never seen bacon, at least in the US, with gluten. Where it's cooked might be an issue.
  8. Us folks with the tornados have been having a lovely, warm winter.....hence the tornados. It was 70 F today here in KC. Perhaps you should have wintered in Kansas?
  9. I would have come over ! Those sound great!
  10. Maybe he needs to talk to the doctor? As for his family, if they won't go along with the diet the doctor prescribed, they should not have any unsupervised time with the little one.
  11. I'm sorry you got your feelings hurt. You're new to this so you'll learn. Even tho these people are family, they have no idea how to cook safely for you. You would not have wanted to eat a gluten-free cake she made in her flour encrusted mixer & in pans with flour in all the cracks. Or potato salad with potatoes drained in the Colander used for pasta...
  12. Did they check your thyroid? Are you anemic? Both things that make you feel tired & gain weight.
  13. There you are, Cate! Welcome to the forum! Se if you can get check for vitamin deficiencies. Or if that's difficult, just assume you have them and try and supplement. Celiac makes it hard to take in the nutrients you need. Anemia, low B12, iron, etc can make you dizzy & foggy.
  14. ]Quinoa ( /ˈkiːnwɑː/ or /kɨˈnoʊ.ə/, Spanish: quinua, from Quechua: kinwa), a species of goosefoot (Chenopodium), is a grain-like crop grown primarily for its edible seeds. It is a pseudocereal rather than a true cereal, or grain, as it is not a member of the grass family. As a chenopod, quinoa is closely related to species such as beets, spinach, and tum...
  15. I have thought about taking a tiny bit of the "gluten Lite" host, not the whole thing.
  16. Don't know how old she is, so this may not apply. I forgot to say that hub takes the Cerave with him to re-apply to the dry spots during the day. I got little round plastic containers that are for taking pills with you. They have a tight screw on top & are about as big around as a quarter & maybe less than 1/2 inch tall.
  17. I don't do them because to me "low gluen" isn't NO GLUTEN. See about making arrangements to take the wine. It technically counts the same. Maybe they would let you drink first. I heard of someone that bought thier own chalice & they would hand them the chalice with the wine.
  18. My hub had this. He went to a dermatologist. She gave him some special creams. One was to make sure there wasn't any fungal infections causing the continued dryness. At night he would wet his hands, lightly dry, then goop up with Cerave cream (gluten-free) then put the cotton gloves on. You can also use olive oil then the Cerave then gloves. Chapstick...
  19. I'm an adult but I found this worked for me. If she likes a gluten product like goldfish crackers, don't immediately switch her to the gluten-free versions. They are different. Just don't give her goldfish crackers for a few months, then try the gluten-free version when she has "forgoten" what they taste like. Try some new things she may not have had...
  20. If you guys are posters on here - reveal yourselves! Loved the Celiac.com shout-out.

  22. If you want some people to answer your questions, post your questions in the forum. Pre-diagnosis and testing is a good place for this.
  23. This list has a lot of "myths". For instance the Elmer's glue myth: "Is Elmer's glue gluten free? All of our products are gluten free except for the Elmer's Finger Paints. The finger paints contain wheat and oat products." Open Original Shared Link
  24. Before you pick up a prescription, make sure its gluten-free. Many pharmacists won't or aren"t "allowed" to call companies & ask if the med is gluten-free. I have had pharmacists tell me it doesn't matter. I find out what they have filled the perscription with and the manufacturer. Then call your self & find out. If you pick it up & then...
