  1. I haven't really gotten a migrane since I was gluten free for a few months. (Knock on wood) So, yes, a migraine can be from gluten. It cam be from other things like hormones, too. You're so early into the gluten-free diet and have had 2 "cheats" already so you really haven't been gluten-free for 17 days. I think its too early to blame everything on...
  2. After your GI appointment, if they aren't going to endoscopy, you can try gluten-free. He could have intolerance which doesn't show up in blood tests.
  3. I make lasagna all the time. I just use the Tinkyada noodles but don't cook them first or they melt. I have never put an egg in my lasagna. I have seen recipes with really thin layers of egg plant as the noodles but I have not tried that.
  4. Wait! I might have answered my own question! 2 StarKist Chunk Light Tuna in Water Nutrition: One serving (2 oz) = 80 calories, 0.5g total fat, 0g saturated fat, 0g trans fat, 35mg cholesterol, 300mg sodium, 1g carbs, 0g sugars, 18g protein. Ingredients: Light Tuna, Water, Vegetable Broth, Salt. Open Original Shared Link How is it tuna...
  5. I am curious, Julie. Why do you think there are peas in plain tuna? Seems like an odd thing to add or use as a processing agent?
  6. Maybe the birds would like it?
  7. Here's one: They were listing things in the gluten-free section of the website that weren't gluten-free. One of the recalls Open Original Shared Link
  8. Google around on this site. There have been some real issues with FFL and gluten. They have had products recalled in Canada recently and the Gluten Free watchdog tested the Tortillas and found them high in gluten. I don't think any were the brown rice bread but, in my opinion, I think they have some problems. I'll look and see if I can find the correspondance...
  9. Wow! That's great! I'm going to look for those at the store. You can't get any better than that unless you grow the potatoes & make the chips yourself.
  10. I didn't like them. Wanted to. Just didn't.
  11. Sometimes its just "fun" to say what you would really like to say, but wouldn't because it really isn't appropriate. I have to say that people who don't think white flour/bread is made with wheat does confuse me. the wheat seems to be referenced in commercials, TV shows, books, Middle school cooking class & health class, Church (bible)....lots...
  12. I think vitamin deficiencies from the Celiac and your restrictive diet should be investigated. Maybe you could get your doc to test for those?
  13. I don't know how long ago this person was a kid. I know people that were "diagnosed" with Celiac 50 years ago that "out grew" it. They have current bloods & endos. It appears they really had a wheat allergy that they out grew. I believe its commonly accepted that you can outgrow an allergy.
  14. Right now the " ad choices" is Dominos & a gluten-free protein bar.
  15. What the H#%% are you talking about, You %&$% Red Solo Cup! I try not to get mad if people are asking honest questions, politely asked. I would be mad if a place has a gluten-free menu & the servers seemed clueless. I guess if my hub or family just kept refusing to listen or even try I would call them an %&$% Solo Cup. I had...
  16. If its one of those little "google ads" they could be for anything. Seems like if we talk about pizza, it will put a Papa Johns add. The main ones that say celiac.com sponser should be for Celiac friendly items. I don't understand why the google is on there but someone who knows more about internet stuff might know.
  17. Anything that gets in your mouth, like flour in the air or on your fingers, will get to your intestines. If you are having D so bad that you have to stay home, you will be dehydrated. You will not be eating what your baby needs to grow and survive. Surely your OB is concerned about this as these things can cause you to miscarry.
  18. Just to let you know, the person you are responding to was on here over 3 years ago. You likely will not find most or any of these poster still active here.
  19. The last post on this thread was over 7 years ago. I doubt any of the posters are still active on this forum.
  20. This is an example from the Celiac Center at Columbia. Look up Celiac Centers and print up the info and bombard the doctors that refuse to follow the current medical protocols for children of Celiacs. Open Original Shared Link 6. Screen family members First degree relatives are advised to be screened. This is because the disease is common, about...
  21. The point is, if you are not gluten-free, don't pretend to be gluten-free on here. You can ask for help with that on here. Asserting that something gluten-free made you feel bad when you also ate gluten with it is not helpful to all the people who are trying to learn. "Forgetting" to tell us about the KFC and regular beers you also consumed, makes it...
  22. I'm not trying to pick on you, Barry, but .......until you commit to a gluten-free diet, and follow it for at least a few months, it's hard to tell what really makes you feel bloated or other intolerances you might have.
  23. It's probably the flour coated KFC he said on another thread that he eats.
