  1. Think we could bake them? I try not to fry.
  2. I'm back At the top of some of these forum topics is a link to info. Look at the top of the posts . See the Frequently asked questions? https://www.celiac.com/forums/forum/5-celiac-disease-coping-with/ https://www.celiac.com/articles/181/1/Safe-Gluten-Free-Food-List-Safe-Ingredients/Page1.html I'm assuming you're in the US. Canada is similar...
  3. First thing you should know is that most doctors know nothing about diet , gluten-free or otherwise. It's not in the training. Giving you an old, outdated pamphlet it the extent of most's knowledge. We have a list of safe ingredients, let me get the link, then I'll be back.
  4. Even if Gemini is a whack a doodle, she'd have to be really whacko to take your address, fly to Ireland & bother you! If she did that, you could sell your story to Lifetime TV to be made into one of their TV movies.
  5. Yeah....what you eat is normal.
  6. There is no fruits or veggies, not much fiber. Lots of processed stuff. Even the good gluten-free stuff has a lot of sometimes, odd ingredients. What if you tried a less processed food diet. Chicken, rice, cooked veggies?
  7. Here's another thought. Could it be something you do after you eat? Like wash dishes? Lotion? Cleaning solution? Some of the dishwasher packets make me itch and not always where I touch them. I touch them with my fingers but the top part (not palm) itches and burns. Fortunately, its not a big deal right now for me. I don't run the dishwasher everyday...
  8. Oh yes. gluten-free! You must send her some guacamole!
  9. Target has thier brand of ibuprophen marked as gluten free in bright green letters.
  10. Is there just "normal people" food from the groceries that you can't get there? Jello? Koolaid? plain popcorn? etc. sounds like skittles or Starburst or Jolly ranchers. Yes! We must send Strawberry a care package! I would be happy to help.

    ARCHIVED Starbucks Reply

I'm not sure what you are trying to say. The OP got an answer from Starbucks that says the Fraps are not gluten-free. They are not hiding that fact.
  12. They are really good, if they know you want gluten-free.
  13. As we tried to explain to you, just because one person has some problem with it, doesn't mean you will. It may have nothing to do with gluten. You can find people on here or at the mall that get sick from eating green peppers or celery. Does that mean you can't eat it? There would actually be nothing you could eat in the whole world if you only ate...
  14. Have you looked at thier website? They are certified. the owner has Celiac. All they make is gluten-free. I like thier products. I m not "super sensitive". I'mjust a regular Celiac. Sometimes people have reactions to other ingredients or things they also ate. Some people haven't been gluten-free very long and are still healing. I have even seen people...
  15. It won't matter. I know some people have bought tickets months ago to something, or 1 school has a band concert, etc. Its OK. I just couldn't believe they would think we would change the date for one family.
  16. What about a thermos? Or the lunch bags that insulate and you get the little "ice" packs that you microwave to keep them warm? Maybe an anonymous call to the health department or OSHA?
  17. So my hub said that he assumes people ,like the one that wants the meeting changed for them, don't think before they email. He said he would rather believe that then that they thought it out and decided everyone should accomadate them. So that makes these people " thoughtless"? Dumb? They get a GFT on the head to knock some sense into them!
  18. I read Heidi's post & then had to fix dinner. My son & hub were microwaving some leftover chili. Because its thier own personal bowl, they stick thier finger in it to see if it's hot. It's not. So they use that finger with chili on it to close the door & touch the buttons. I am always cleaning food mess off the handle of the micro, oven...
  19. The coach and I are thinking maybe 4 am. No one can have any activities then? Can they?
  20. So, we are having a parent meeting to explain things. I know with 50 kids, a few parents might not be able to make it. One emailed me back to say they had something that night, could we change the date? Felt like saying, " sure. for you. We will ask 100 people to change the date.". Or " Sure, we'll change it to May 2". After the season is over.
  21. Mayo has eggs in it. Gluten doesn't hide, especially in Kraft products. What did you eat earlier? Maybe it bothered you? Vinegar is rather harsh and acidic and can bother your stomach.
  22. I second what Scott said. I also question the reliability of a GI doc who thinks a colonoscopy will let him see your celiac damage. I would get a copy of those blood tests. If he doesn't do a endoscopy to check for Celiac damage, he may not be running or reading the blood test correctly.
  23. I think we have a new one! When someone is being an a$$, we hit them with the GFT! (of course my auto spell check will change that to gift)
  24. Where are these dots? My son get red almost flat , tiny dots on his chest, back & stomach when he has a virus.
  25. If you're eating a year old tomato, you might need more help then medical? You could email Smithfield to find out for sure.
