  1. Oh no! She's going to be insufferable now!
  2. Great! It always surprises me how many people don't realize all the things they normally eat that are gluten-free. When I first told my parents, my dad got up and spent 15 minutes in the kitchen happily pulling things out to see if it had gluten ( just curious). He found lots of it, including my Mom's beloved hot dogs were gluten-free. Since they love...
  3. That may work for an allergy but Celiac isn't an allergy. The world we live is full of gluten. Maybe if you could live in a bubble, you could be certain you never got any tiny crumb of gluten.
  4. hey Tigerlily! I live in OP, KS. I think that in the beginning on here, your personal messaging is limited. Had people messaging people trying to sell things. not saying you would but we need a few posts to see if newbies are " legit".) I can try to point you out some local things if you need me to.
  5. Had to add this toast discussion to the list.
  6. You might be Celiac if.... You have in depth discussions on toast, toasting times and toasters.
  7. I'm glad you feel better. I'm also glad that you have come to realize that every twinge is not gluten and someone's personal experience is not necessarily a fact.
  8. This post is over 5 years old. You need to re- check all this info if its important to you as ingredients and products change.
  9. For us really lazy folks - just pour your favorite soda over vanilla ice cream and squish it up. Yum!
  10. Here's a list: Open Original Shared Link I know when I was anemic, I added a few eggs ( yolk) and blueberries and dried apricots . Not sure if your little one can do raises and dried apricots yet. You could cut them small so she wouldn't choke.
  11. If you have Celiac and been diagnosed and gluten-free for a year or more, they may want to do an endoscopy to check and see if the gluten-free diet has helped or if there is still damage. You wouldn't have to go off your diet as they want to see if the diet has helped.
  12. First - This thread is over 3 years old. Any info should be re-checked as products change. Second - As was stated. They are a Kraft product. Kraft will label any gluten ingredients clearly. Read the ingredients.
  13. What kind of bread? I get a millet bread with carrot in it. It's yummy. A bit sweet and dense. It takes 2 times thru the gluten-free Red Toaster and it's still not crispy. Then I put a bit of cheddar on It and broil until it melts.
  14. You & The Kid are not the first to be fooled by Rice Kripsies and the Treats.. Corn Flakes are also a tricky adversary. And butterscotch chips....3 of us looked at those & still missed the word malt.
  15. This is that " dr" Osborne's site that wants $69 to help you with his theory that all grains are bad. I don't think much of someone that won't explain the test unless you pay your money.
  16. Don't know. Did you google it? Doesn't it have to do with digesting milk? Probably not life threatening.
  17. We have had great luck with the 3 different PF Changs I have eaten in. We all order from the gluten-free menu so we can share. If there is something someone at your table wants but it isn't on the gluten-free list, you can ask. They can't change something obviously gluteny but sometimes all they have to do is change the soy sauce.
  18. I use those. I need to see if I can get more lids. The bowls are good but the lids start breaking.
  19. Did you try to google "no sulphite wines"?
  20. SInce you didn't want to comment on the current ( from this week) thread about regular beer, I'm guessing you might just want to make people mad. On the chance that you really don't get it or someone else stumbles on this: If you have Celiac, even a small amount of gluten starts the damage. There are lots of sources for this just google " Celiac disease...
  21. You mentioned on another post that she is extremely allergic to wheat. If that's the case, have you checked her lotions, shampoos, etc? Is there anything she is allergic to that might be causing this?
  22. They are worth the money. My first one lasted 23 years before we burned the motor out or something. It's still sitting downstairs waiting for an autopsy.

If you have been gluten-free for 20 years and this trouble started 3 years ago, maybe it has nothing to do with gluten and Celiac. I can think of lots of things it could be like a vertebrae problem, bad hip, etc.
  24. Not sure what you are looking at. I would ask if there is any lab work you could get done first. Might save you a trip. You might have sent them her previous records and most recent blood work, but I would get a copy & take them with you. Keep them in your purse incase they don't have it.
