  1. Maybe your daughter could drive when they are out together? MIL can wear the pads!
  2. Just a thought but...aren't people going to be a bit confused when you bring your own dinner and don't eat any of the other gluteny or cc'd foods? Not sure you could hide the fact that the rolls are gluten-free. You were probably asked to bring rolls because they forgot about the gluten-free, or wanted you to bring ones you could eat or they thought...
  3. Why do you let her use your car? Aren't the keys lost? Maybe a hose or the battery cables have come loose? Seriously, here in Kansas, you can anonymously report an older person's driving. They will be called in for a driving test. Can you do that there?
  4. I have so much to do today! Must stop checking for your email! I think it will make a good bedtime story.....or is it too scary?
  5. [quote name='SkylerGurl05' timestamp='1324 615018' post='759262'] What about the Smart popcorn the white cheddar one? It says Whey.. I seen it was on the gluten-free list but I'm not sure about that??
  6. Perhaps you aren't meant to cook tonight? Maybe just some snacks and another glass of wine? Perhaps a little tuna marinated in wine for the kitty?
  7. Ugh! That was my actual reaction to reading the above. At least they are still looking. Good luck!
  8. We had this recipe for a cross between a meringue & a cookie. I add peanuts. Am thiinking about adding peppermint chips if they are gluten-free.
  9. Pamelas has the Xantham gum, etc mixed in. It will probably work.
  10. thanks. I was wondering about that. Do you think I could use Pamela's? I have so much of it.
  11. I made this apple cake with tart Granny Smith apples and served it with cinnamon ice cream. We thought it would be great as a coffee cake. ( OK....I sampled it for breakfast with my coffee ). For Christmas breakfast, I don't want to serve ice cream so I thought I could put a cinnamon streusel type topping and maybe a ribbon of it thru the cake. I know...
  12. Once you start absorbing food better, you absorb medications better. You should see if you need a lower dose of BP meds.
  13. I have a hard time finding lasagna noodle, too. I was thinking of making the lasagna with layers of penne instead. It would have the flavor of lasagna but be more like a casserole or baked pasta. I don't think I have used Deboles lasagna but the other ones were fine. Scar makes a tagliatelle ( like a short linguine) noodle which is very thin if you think...
  14. L L Bean is on- line Open Original Shared Link
  15. Exactly what I was going to say! There are some beers made with barley that the gluten is supposedly processed out of. I don't bother with those.
  16. Hey! Don't bash Chia pets! They have those ones you grow catnip on! Your kitty might like that!
  17. GFM, I'm not trying to get in a fight here. Just wanted to point something out. There is a difference in saying " I ate off the gluten-free menu at Karen's Diner and I think I got glutened". Or I have a problem with Karen's brand gluten-free frozen dinners. They don't test for gluten or they only test to 20 ppm. " Then saying " X bread ( trusted gluten...
  18. Depends on whats on your salad: Salsa - traditional or fruit ones Lemon or lime juice BBQ sauce Juicy fruits or veggies like chopped up oranges Chili sour cream Are you trying to avoid something or just bored with salad dressing?
  19. Hey Boog! Have you looked at LL Bean catalog? They have mens, womans, girls & boys sizes. Don't know if you will be near any camping/hunting stores like Cabelas or Bass but they may have them. May find some at a place that sells clothes for people who work outside like construction & farming or horses. Just a warning.... these jeans are usually...
  20. What I tried to explain in my post is that gluten-free in dog food is not the same as gluten-free in human food. Pet food manufacturers have a different definition of gluten-free. There are no laws that pet food gluten-free must mean what human gluten-free means. Like every thing, we must read the labels and then decide what to do. Some people do choose...
  21. I don't know much about allergy testing, but others do. Just wanted to say, I hope you got thru finals successfully and are able to enjoy your break.
  22. She's probably going to do her version of gluten-free for a week. At the end of the week, if she doesn't feel a vast improvement, she will say, "see? Gluten isn't the issue.". I believe she may be my mother's identical twin sister we didn't know about!
  23. Rice Chex make a cheap, low fat, dog treat. Good for training because you can give a lot of them. Of course my dog will tell you the backyard neighbor has the best training treats - leftover chicken!
  24. She's beautiful! My dog food is "no gluten" by pet food standards. It still has rice, a little barley & rye. No gluten in pet food seeems to mean that they don't add a filler that can be made of corn or wheat gluten. It can mean no gluten like we think of but there is no regulation on pet food. Dogs can & many do well, eating a little grain or...
