  1. Thank you for the informative cultural lesson! We are happy to know that most or all suffers are in good shape.
  2. When you are a bit closer to delivery, ask your doc what will be prescribed. Then try to talk to the head pharmacist at the hospital and get brands so you can find out about them. I would worry even more about the food. Make arrangements with your husband to bring you all of your food. If a highly educated Pharm can't figure out gluten-free don't expect...
  3. Now my boys are wondering what sort of Xmas tree you have, if you have one? Also, do we want to see a fat Santa in a wetsuit or beachwear? I think your Santa must be buffer than ours.
  4. Maybe you and BE can be phflooded in together. one cannot be expected to go to work or take finals if it means you must go thru the phflood waters. Matt survived the camping. Said it wasn't too bad. The kids lost his marbles.
  5. Hey Shroomie! My son Jeff wants to ask you an important question. " because it's summer in NZ, what does your Santa look like? Our Santa's are too heavily dressed for your temps.". I think he's hoping Santa is wearing board shorts and a wild shirt.
  6. Sometimes, I just don't go. I don't like it when it's a stand around the food and graze party. Sit-downs are different. I can bring my food and eat at the same time. If I know what is being served, I bring something similar. They had pasta and salad and cake at the football banquet. I made some pasta and broiled it with cheese on top ( stays hot longer...
  7. That's tough! I recommend a time out, for Mom. Can you and Dad take turns with cranky one? Maybe there is a grandma or friend that could give you a break? I would try to keep the kids apart with separate activities and areas of the house if possible. Hang in there!
  8. We and 100,000 of our closest friends were out shopping. Had to order the new cooktop. Currently, 17 F winds 20-35 mph with a windchill of 1 F and lightly snowing. Matt is camping and sleeping in a tent. Glad it's him & not me!
  9. I don't have a problem with soy (for now, anyway). It sure is a sneaky little devil. It is lurking in all sorts of places it doesn't belong (salsa? gum or candy?)
  10. My BIL who likes to make up conspiracies for fun, said it is to make a good number of the people sick so we don't object to things going on in the world & the gov't.
  11. Keep the whole party gluten-free, except maybe beer, We just had people from my hub's work over and that worked great. I didn't have to worry about what I could eat at the party or after. I can eat all the left-overs because no one got gluteny crumbs on anything. We did a wine, cheese and chocolate party - 6 cheeses (with a little tag to say what they...
  12. You've got to hide the veggies better, maybe under the cheese on the toast?
  13. I'm hoping your mother will not be in a position to feed him gluten again. Obviously, you can't leave him alone with her. For some grandmas, that might be enough to get her to behave.
  14. I just looked at the Hungry Jack lite ingredients. Not a lot of natural stuff but nothing jumps out at me that it contains gluten. According to my "Is that gluten-free?" app, aunt jemimas are listed as gluten-free.
  15. Nothing makes the ones that say gluten-free on the website gluteny. Some people don't like artificial flavors or artificial anything.
  16. The expression " It's not the size that counts" doesn't really apply in this situation. I don't bake a lot yet, but I have heard that bigger bread tends to fall.
  17. Matt loves that app. Ron says lots of people at work have it on the iPads. Would any of the other ladies want to ski? Could ski alone. Then you don't have to go down any slope you don't like,or go thru the terrian park over and over, and only stop for the bathroom when you want to. You do not have to be Catholic to use the services...
  18. Around here we go to a store named "Priscillas" for our penile decorating and fashion needs.
  19. Lo, step away from the computer! Go directly to the nearest Catholic church and inquire about an exorcist and some holy water! I saw that jumbled post a few minutes ago and it was fine, not jumbled.
  20. Ungrateful chickens! Couldn't spare one egg for the lady that feeds them and cares for them?
  21. Left overs from the office party last night. Cheeses, crackers, pineapple, carrots, brownies & truffles.
  22. This is Jack Skeleton from "Nightmare Before Christmas" a Tim Burton movie. PPPPPPFFT!
  23. I don't know officially how long flour stays in the air but I think it's at least a day. It also gets in the air ducts and can get pushed around again. Hub made some cookies with reg flour. Wiped the counter. Next morning, a light dusting of flour on the counter and top of mixer. When you get your wood floors sanded and re- finished, you get wood dust...
