  1. I would but these are our new party wine glasses and my party serving plates ( I like them) Hub put on the invite: " instead of a hostess gift, please participate in the office Toys for Tots". Since everyone he works with are women, he was afraid they would bring cookies. Only one person brought food to share - a cheese ball she had made and a box of...
  2. I survived! It went well. Now I have to wash dishes I was too tired to do last night and put the stuff ( clutter) back.
  3. Just a quick " Hi!". Getting stuff ready for hub's party. Why am I doing this? I'm stuck doing it all!
  4. Google "Hormel gluten free" and go directly to their lists on the Hormel site. Do this with other brands you can think of like Bushs or any other. This is an easy way to get to a company's gluten-free list if they have one.
  5. How did you find out that Wendy's fries are gluten-free? Aren't they fried in the same fryer with something else? The Wendy's website clearly states they may be fried with gluten containing items.
  6. Hi Becky! Love your picture!
  7. While I do like Russell B, you will always be my favorite Russell!
  8. Thanks, Lo! You are not supposed to use them, or at least the one with the crack over it. I'm trying to get one as quick as possible. They don't seem to make any downdrafts with regular burners anymore unless they have 2 burners and a grill.
  9. You're commenting on something 5 years old. The ingredients may have changed since then. Also, corn and the resultant corn starch are gluten free. They may not sit well in your stomach, but that doesn't make them contain gluten.
  10. I think the only wooden barrels around Gallo are decorations at the door to the corporate office.
  11. But did you say yes on the first date?
  12. My glass/ ceramic cooktop cracked. It's over the 5 year dubious warranty! My cleaning lady was doing what I do sometimes, pushing the edge of the cleaning pad under the edge to get crumbs. The replacement part is $990 plus about $150 to install. Or a complete new one is $1163 plus $60 install from Nebraska Furniture mart. Not sure how fast I can get...
  13. I agree with Jess. I thought that was what I was saying. They shouldn't plant the crop Rye, how would that make sense? I thought maybe you were planting the rye grass you use in yards just to fill in until the other stuff grows in the spring. That is not the same as rye that people eat. If you are worried about allergies, you should pave it over...
  14. I love Bend. Went to Mt Bach to ski once. J had a fever seizure when he was about 1. Hub was home with him and didn't know what to do. The cleaning lady was there and has a son who regularly has seizures, so that helped. They called an ambulance, then called me. I asked if they left with the sirens going. He said no. That made me feel better....
  15. Well, M is back to school. Not much energy but took bottle of water and a sandwich. Has anyone gone on that other Celiac forum that starts with a D? I scoped it out and it's hard to read. Also, people have no sense of humor over there! Did get a cookie recipe that was decent. Not gonna waste much time with them. We are much phunnier here!
  16. Years ago, I lived on the American River. I swear the foxtails are alien creatures not seeds! They wiggle their way into everything. We have a Nature Ct for grade school kids. We have some paved paths ( wheelchairs). And some mulched. We just have regular grass about 1 foot on each side of the paths in the Tall Grass Prairie area. Partially to protect...
  17. Have seen this info before but never seen any mention of the mother's health. Perhaps the moms have celiac disease and that causes the c- sections? Because it's genetic, their kids would have a higher rate of celiac disease. I'm 98% sure I had undxed celiac disease when I had my c section. The little bugger wouldn't turn the right direction and I didn...
  18. I don't know where you live. Here in the midwest there are places you can get info to restore native prairie grasses - tall grass or short. Rye grass or the crop wouldn't be natural. It sounds like they are just planting the rye grass next to the trail so you have something that can me kept mowed down and free of poison ivy. That is just regular grass...

    ARCHIVED Celiac Psa

I saw that in the ad for that show. Apparently, a lot of gluteny people around here buy the Glutino pretzels because they hold up to various dips and they think they are healthier. Patti, maybe there is a spirit in your computer!
  20. Stomach virus update: Ate some chicken and rice with little bits of carrot cooked in. Said it was a bit bland for normal but good for sick. Going back to school tomorrow! Yeah! I'm tough! Plus school is more fun than being bored at home. Nice to see all the Xmas Avs.

    ARCHIVED Celiac Psa

Am watching CBS and they had a PSA about celiac disease. Just said it was a serious autoimmune disorder and put up celiac.org for more info. Open Original Shared Link
  22. Try Open Original Shared Link Casein-free-diet.talkaboutcuringautism.org/gfcfsf-diet-on-food-stamps.htm It keeps changing the G F C f to the full word. Enter the above link but change the Words Gluten Free and Casein Free to the initials.
  23. Good idea. Right now he has graduated to 6 Rice Chex and some apple juice (in a dark cup with a lid and a straw so he doesn't know how much is in it). I'm tricky!
  24. That scared him! He has been sucking on ice and just peed to prove he is Ok. Thanks for your sympathy.
