    Sick kid report: won't drink much cause it makes his stomach upset. If he doesn't start drinking soon, it's off to the ER for an IV.

    Wow! Our grocery has a big sign about Boars Head being gluten free. When you ask, they admit they cut other products that aren't gluten-free.

    Well, the tale of spillage continues. This may not be news at your house, but no one gets sick, almost never, at our house. He was feeling better, starting having a couple of sips of Gatorade and water. I went to J's football banquet. Got a pitiful text that he barfed. Said he didn't need me, he was going to sleep.     There have been some threads on here about inexpensive gluten-free foods. Bread, pasta and cookies are probably the most expensive. I don't know what you can get with food stamps but Chex, Some Progresso soups, Thai Kitchen noodles, rice, beans, frozen veggies, etc.

    Crossing fingers. Spillage seems to have stopped. Gave him Enterol and it seems to be soothing. He feels like doing homework. Maybe he is seriously ill?

    I'm thinking " freezer" & " Xmas dinner" Poor kid. Can't stop with the dry vomiting. He hasn't had anything in his stomach all day except the tiny bit of water from rinsing his mouth.

    M woke up this early this am with barfage. Probably stomach virus. Wish I could blame gluten but I can't. So no one is coming over. I have 3 lbs of cooked taco hamburger meat and 5 of grilled chicken, 48 corn tortillas, 54 hard tao shells, 3 doz pumpkin spice cookies, 3 doz pb choc chip cookies, batch of peanut brittle, 2 large bags of chips, 3 red peppers...

    Soooo tired! Bro & wife are coming in from Bend, OR for the week. The only time we can see them is tomorrow at lunch. So everyoneis coming here! Making taco type stuff. Also, trying to get stuff started for hub's office party Wed. Went to grocery ( busy place), made 2 kinds of truffles, cookies for tomorrow, taco hamburger meat, hub grilled chicken...

    In these restaurants, they often fry the all corn chips ( yeah) in the same oil they fry things made with a flour tortilla ( boo). This makes the corn chips no longer gluten free. It makes the flour ones no longer corn free because little bits fall off & stay in the fryer and can attach to the next food fried. You have to be careful. Have you googled...

    Be prepared to have to throw out the juice or milk for the the little goober. It seems to depend on the agent and his or her mood. My son has accidentally taken a half full Gatorade thru in his backpack and no one saw it. Good bag screening. You can bring food but not anything gooey.     I use Silk ( soy) vanilla and So Delicious (coconut) hazelnut or vanilla. Yum! And I don't have to be dairy free.

    Have you seen toaster bags? You can get them on-line or I found the same ones in a specialty kitchen store. Pampered Chef may have them,too. You put your bread safely inside to toast.     Just trying to give you a good excuse. As they get used to you and your odd ways, they won't notice as much. Mine have stopped trying to get me to out to eat all the time. Do they have gluten-free beer where they live? Your own food, gluten-free beer, might not be too bad.

    I live in Kansas. We grow a lot of wheat and no rice. Rice needs a completely different way of growing. I have seen them grow rice in Calif. They flood the fields. We need some farmers to clarify. Possible they use the same trucks, silos, etc?

    When I was a very little kid, like 2. My grandma said that children should wake up Xmas morning in their own beds, go to the tree they helped decorate and have Xmas at their own homes.
