  1. I still get Bards in the Kansas City area both KS & MO sides.
  2. Still haven't heard from Angela. With my luck she is one of those people that only check her fb once every few weeks. Or I scared her...
  3. I messaged an Angela from NL. Her birthdate may be 1962. It looked like a 2 at the end of the date when I looked at it again. I keep checking FB to see if she responds.
  4. OH no!!!! Your not "below" me anymore. Texas was right below. I think this just means I "talk" alot.
  5. I messaged Angela on Facebook. I told her we chat on a website for people who share a disease and someone was doing a urine collection and that she posted that pic. I said we decided to see if we could find her on the book. I asked why she posted that pic. We will see if she has a sense of humor.
  6. Peter - What don't you know? If I send Angela a note, what do I say? Where did the pic come from? I googled "24 hour urine collection jug" and found many pics but not that one. Where are Em & Nik when you need some clever wording?
  7. Eletrolyte drinks are mainly sugar, salt, potassium & magnesium. Fruit juices like grape juice, OJ & apple juice have a lot. They don't have so much salt. Eat something salty or add salt to the juice. My son does football every morning in the summer and then worked outside. Having apple juice with pretzels or crackers replenishes him better then...
  8. Should we send her a note? What would we say? Also, did you notice the jug is about 1/4 full?
  9. Hi Shelley! I have a 17 yr old son. He does not have celiac disease, I do. He has a friend that has it. Unfortunately, she lets others comments bother her and change her eating habits. This drives my son nuts! For example, for school dances the kids all go to dinner in groups. If she spoke up and said the best place for her is PF Changs, everyone...
  10. I not sure why you're going dairy free if it doesn't bother you? Life's hard enough. Some people on here do OK with dairy that is not cow. But its still dairy, just slightly different. Also, it may be processed differently so the amount of lactose is different. I have had good luck emailing the Celiac center with a question.
  11. Where is everyone? I found Angela! On Facebook there is an Angela that lives in Newfoundland.
  12. Have found the name of the health care system. Angela is in Newfoundland or Labrador. When you say that around here, we think of dogs not places. Open Original Shared Link Also, looks like she was in the hospital. Doesn't it look like a hospital room and the jug is sitting on the table that goes accross the bed? Can anyone see it clearer...
  13. If you are living gluten-free, why are you constantly getting glutened? If you have been gluten free for a year, you ought to have it under control? I've been gluten-free for 7 months. I'm wondering if you have some other intolerances. I don't get " glutened" . I know accidents happen but maybe you need to be more careful if it's happening often enough...
  14. if we find Angela, and she doesn't know her jug was posted on the Internet, and she lives in the US, she can make a lot of money off the lawsuit! Also, I think Canada & the UK have similar laws. Think we could get a finders fee? actually, where did the photo come from? We really might be able to find her if it's real!
  15. I want to go to your table!
  16. Charli is a cute name for a girl.
  17. So here's a phunny story. My J, 17, has Homecoming dance coming up at school. He wasn't going to go, maybe, probably because he didn't have anyone special in his mind. Suddenly, 3 of his male friends started asking him when he was going to ask " Mary" to Homecoming. Telling him him not to wait until the last minute. One of Mary's friends offered to take...
  18. Check your local health department. Many do a basic diabetes screening for free. Also, November is National Diabetes Awareness month (at least it seems that it was last year). Local hospitals will sometimes have health fairs, wellness fairs or diabetes screening days. Our grocery had a wellness day with blood pressure, cholesterol & diabetes screening...
  19. The radio had a doc on answering sleep questions. He said that when it is time to get up - get up. Do not hit the snooze button 4 times and then get up (that was the question). He also, said that we really shouldn't drive until we have been up and out of bed for an hour to be at our best cognitively. Maybe you are having sleep issues or just don't wake...
  20. I didn't realize or most likely forgot, about the gluten-free bun in the oven. When you said you have night mares and you woke up screaming, I asume you mean from a really bad nightmare. Pregnant women at 15 weeks do have hormonal changes. Nightmares are definitely a complication of prenancy for a lot of people. I had them, too. I rarely ever have dreams...
  21. They all sound fine. The Teff wrappers I have say gluten-free and no reason to think otherwise. If your sure all the ingredients are gluten-free, maybe you got something from what the Hub was eating? Now, I know this is radical thinking, but is it possible this had nothing to do with gluten? Could it be something else like hormones, the 3 glasses of wine...
  22. With my second baby, I started feeling nauseous a week before my period was due.
  23. Usually, yogurt is recommended when you take antibiotics. The antibiotics kill live bacteria, good or bad. If the good bacteria in your gut is suseptable to that antibiotic, it coud be wiped out along with your bronchitis germs. The yogurt should help put it back. My son used to get amoxicillan for ear infections. He would get a stomach ache & diarrhea...
