Travis, I got that you were being funny. If it was just you and me, we could make jokes and it would all be good. On this forum I find that a gentler approach is necessary. A lot of people on here don't feel good. You may be too young for these references but , I'm old so these I know: it's like George Carlin and his rant about the 7 things you can... -

Sorry you are feeling down. As a mom, I can tell you that it is our right and our privilege to worry about our kids. We feel better if you tell us something we can do. If there is something they can do to be helpful, ask. Is there something you used to do with your parents as a kid that you really liked? Fish with Dad? Go to the zoo with both? Bowling... -

M is a strawberry daiquiri fiend. We stayed at a hotel with a happy hour. Everyday, they had 2 frozen drinks - strawberry & something else, in a Icee machine. For adults, they added alcohol to the glass. He had to get back for his happy hour drink. When I worked at a Childrens hospital, they gave sick/ premmie babies a " whiskey nipple" if they... -

You're the mom, give him a consequence. Would be nice if his father was on board since this is for the health of the child. You might want to not have gluten containing things he really loves. If Ritz and Cheez-its are his favorites with no good gluten-free replacement, the others can find a snack he doesn't like as much. We didn't have pretzels at... -

Many many years ago, Nyquil had a good dose of alcohol in it. My sister would keep everyone up coughing like a sea lion from an allergy. My mom would give her a good slug of Nyquil and she slept soundly. Why is it OK to give them alcohol in medicine but not give them a half shot of something thats equivalent? Vodka & OJ would taste better and give... -

We bought apple for my son's Scout troop a few weeks ago at Target. Not sure of brand. Gluten wasn't a concern but he was curious and checked & it looked OK. Wasn't thickened with flour. -

I have heard that gluten is damaging us even if we don't feel it. For some, it might take a good amount of damage before it " hurts". Its like a leaky roof. Some peoples roofs leak and drip on them while they are in bed and it's obvious, right away, the damage that is occurring. Some roofs leak and the water goes down inside the walls. It gets moldy... -

People I know who have had parts of the colon or small intestine removed for various reasons, were told by the GI doc's what to eat or not eat. I know they were told to go gluten free or light ( gluten-free bread or pasta but don't worry about a cookie or wheat in the soy sauce. This is because wheat is hard to digest. -

When I was a kid, we had Coke syrup by prescription in the fridge at all times for my delicate stomach. Tasted great! Wonder what was up with that touchy stomach? -

Would have liked a bit of rain. Hub keeps trying to grow grass. Psilly man! WTH? Someone really wanted 7 days worth of your pee? Does it cure warts? Increase male performance? Seriously, do we really pee that whole container in 1 day? Hub & I seem to be physically degenerating. Body parts are taking turns to make certain that 2 or ... -

I have 2 non celiac boys. One was not a napper after 3 years old. The other is now 17 and still naps 2-3 times a week. Noting is wrong with him, he's very busy and active. When he was small, sometimes he would go through a period of eating a bunch, then a period of extra sleeping.....then his shoes or clothes wouldn't fit one day. I'm not saying the... -

The fact that they put cheesecake on there would make me question the whole list. Most cheesecake has a Graham cracker crust. If they think that is gluten-free, then who knows what other mistakes hey have on the menu above. Maybe you could send a message back for clarification. Just looked at the website and the pic of the cheesecake looks like it has... -

Is it possible its something in the pipes of your new home? Does the building have a water purifying system of some type? Someone on this site is allergic to coconut and found that some filters are made of coconut fibers. -

Well the torrential rains that we were supposed to get today from the hurricane Hermine have been anticlimatic. Light sprinkles. However, because it is the end of a hurricane, every hour on TV they interrupt to give us the weather. -
If you like a thin crust. I use rice tortillas. Spray with a little olive oil & bake for about 3 minutes. Then top and bake some more.

There is a subject I know well. The only way to fix this is for Matt to go to his post office and you to go to the one that delivers your mail. Then you both must insist in loud voices that they fix this (calmly explaining to them didn't work for me). Also, calling the national post office number to complain does absolutley nothing. Someone types it into... -
