  1. When I first read this I thought, " How silly!". Sand is basically ground up rock. Then I re- read it. You said the sand was green. When my teen were little, if the sand was green, it has moss growing on it. . So I googled play sand and apparently, it comes in some amazing " non-toxic" colors. It doesn't say what the dyes are but I'm thinking they probably...
  2. Its on the Frito Lay list of gluten-free chips.
  3. Be careful. They probably have a coating on them and/or are not actually glass. Was it actual Super glue brand? Open Original Shared Link
  4. Thanks for the brain worm! Did you get a "Ting-a-Ling".
  5. Didn't try them. Don't they sound like they are made of one of those fiber things like Metamusil?
  6. I have found that dish soap is gluten-free. The problem might be the bathroom soap as wheat germ oil is added to things to make it soft, shiny and stick to hair or skin. But even then, most of the unfancy handsoaps probably don't have that. Would like to know what toliet paper, laundry soap, dish soap or toothpaste has gluten so I can avoid them. I...
  7. Fritos, popcorn with extra butter, ice cream.... If only = no calories.
  8. Glad to hear house & Kitty are well. Sorry about the dinnerware.
  9. The univof Chicago celiac center has fact sheets. One talks about testing relatives. I printed and gave it To my kids doc. If you live anywhere near Chicago, they will be doing free testing soon. It will say on the website. Www.Celiacdisease.net
  10. Cerave is a really thick hand cream. The dermatologist recommend it for Hub's cracked fingers. I wrote to them & it's gluten-free. They haven 't had it at Walmart, but Walgreens & CVS have had it. $12-15 for a big jar. Thick and stays on but not greasy.
  11. First off, you know you probably shouldn't be eating even gluten-free oats. Most things I have seen say to wait until healed to try them. Some celiacs react to the gluten in oats. Regular oats are contaminated with wheat. I have found that some food tastes different now. Still love way to much cinnamon! Just read your info. Not sure about...
  12. I live in the KC area. There is a Waldo pizza in Lees Summit that has great gluten-free pizza!
  13. Yes but I know you love me cause you hit me with a spit ball!
  14. My SIL posted this on her FB. Really funny take off song. I'm putting on here so she doean't know I stole it & posted it.
  15. Looks like we have our tornado! What natural disaster are we missing? Tsunami? Meterorite?
  16. That place is always so busy and has so many gluteny delicious items, I don't think I would chance it. Maybe if you could find a non busy time as the workers have always been so nice. Googled and found this. Not sure how old it is. Might try to email like this poster did. http://(Company Name Removed - They Spammed This Forum and are Banned).com...
  17. Rice and corn are what we call gluten free. All grains have gluten but only the ones in wheat, barley, rye and sometimes oats are what we usually refer to as gluten. Sounds like Mott's lawyer responded!
  18. Beautiful morning. Sitting listening to the birds in my yard. Some delightful chirps! Some god awful squawks! Some sound just like a neighbors telephone? which bird it that?
  19. Apparently, plain refers to a flat grassy geographical area! Can not tell you how many times my not gluten-free son asks for a plain burger on the bun & still gets cheese or ketchup mustard pickles. When questioned, they say that is plain. .???
  20. I've never used a rice cooker. Does it usually work for risotto? It's a lot of liquid but it soaked up & cooked off in the oven nicely. So as not to have 2 pans to clean, I just put the first pan with the butter, etc into the oven.
  21. I leave to hang banners at the footbal stadium, tailgate and watch J's high school game and look what happens! A big honking earthquake at Shroomie's other house! I hope the house sitter is OK cause that's gonna be one angry Kitty. Natural disasters are befalling Psillys. Hurricanes, wild fires & earthquakes. Us Midwest Psillys better keep...
  22. Amercian translation: 1 large onion is more likely what we think of as medium 3.3 tbsp butter 2 1/4 cups rice 1/4 cup wine Chicken stock 44 oz. ( my 2 cup measure has litters. Just measured 2 1/4 cups is 1/2 litre Parm 3,3 tbsp This is a very forgiving recipe. A little more or less butter or parm is fine. I just cut up some jarred roasted...
  23. Our food banks try to have canned fruits and veggies which are usually gluten-free. Also, canned chicken & tuna. Sometimes fruit and cheese. One gets hot dogs and keeps them frozen. Most hotdogs are gluten-free. Eggs too. All this assumes you can cook where you are staying. I have been giving Chex to our food bank. If you are in the Kansas City...
  24. The light Fraps now have gluten in some form. That's the short version of the Starbucks letter.

    ARCHIVED Go Ask Connie

What did you name it? I can't get one. My boys are on a FIRST Robotics team and would have it built into something else before it finished a room!
