  1. I'm Baaaaack! Have been to the mountain top & have learned these great pieces of wisdom: - Mountain slopes can be very scary to ski down - Most Snowboarders are not human (some sort of alien or other animal?) - Bad junky food remains bad junky food if you pay 3 times as much for it in a beautiful setting - I'm getting old & stiff We left...
  2. I think I said that I hoped that was a typo. The girl is new & I didn't want her to think you can pick stuff off or eat a little. Especially since she was having cheating issues. Truce?
  3. Thank you Sandsurf. I was going to start this thread. I know I'm not the most popular person right now because I posted the info from McDonalds on another thread. I suppose it is possible that in other countries (not US) they are OK. A little history on McD's fries. Many years ago it was common to fry in lard. When they wanted to switch to whatever oil...
  4. Can I be one of the people that throw your clothes out? or is that a different show? Also, THAT IS EXACTLLY WHAT A GLUTEN LOOKS LIKE! ....sexy tango partner...
  5. Thanks. Duh! I didn't see the lovely "report" button. You know I'm not shy so if I know they are wrong & might hurt someone, I'll speak up.
  6. I emailed them a few months ago & they basically said that they would not even be able to try to accomadate people with special food needs. I don't think the foods that good anyway, so no loss for me.
  7. Just saw some posts that gave food advice that I think is very wrong. I posted that I hoped one was a typo & the info from the resturaunts website saying the fries have wheat. Is there anything else we should do? I have noticed some other "odd" or questionable stuff sometimes. Thanks
  8. I hope that was a typo about the croutons. No croutons! Please check McDonalds website. French Fries French Fries: Potatoes, vegetable oil (canola oil, hydrogenated soybean oil, natural beef flavor [wheat and milk derivatives]*, citric acid [preservative]), dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate (maintain color), salt. Prepared in vegetable...
  9. Happy to see you drag your poor disease ridden body out of your sick bed. Contemplating a make-over means you must be feeling better. Will tell "the Meadows" you said hello.
  10. Good thought as I need to make sure I get some for my iron, too. Do you think a margarita has enough vitamin C?
  11. I wanted to be diagnosed officially for many of the above reasons also: - Insurance wouldn't pay for tests for other things that go with Celiacs like a bone scan for osteoporosis - Doctors won't test my kids who have no synptoms unless I have an official DX (& insurance wouldn't pay) - I have a Dr note to explain that I might need to bring...
  12. Am going on a journey tomorrow to the mountains of Lake Tahoe. Whilst atop the mountain, shall seek psilly enlightenment (then, hopefully, not fall off the ski slope on the way down). Will either loose a few pounds as I can't eat at the ski resorts or will gain a bunch as I can eat Snickers, M&Ms, etc.
  13. Who is the wise and reverred Ripper? Please ask him/her for insight. Hey, hey! Michelle has moved up to 25th place, and hasn't dropped any dogs yet. Go, girl, go! And in case anyone has missed the biggest fanfare news about this colossal race, the competitor who has won everyone's hearts and is reaching cult-figure status. . .. .... We gotta...
  14. I see your "60 to snow flurries" & raise you - 70 degrees to a Blizzard, in 2 hours, that was so bad that they strung up ropes between college buildings so we didn't get lost in the snow. Just saw people playing poker on TV.
  15. Thats great. Love the doggies. They always seem to be having fun. Flowers sound lovely. We finally got rid of the snow piles on the north side of the house.
  16. Thanks everyone. I guess Tuesdays will be my day too.
  17. Do you need to take with food? Without food? I got no instructions. Am currently taking big doses of iron 2 times a day that have lots of instructions & restrictions. Take 6 hours of my day - can't eat or drink other than water 1 hour before & 2 after. Any side effects? Thanks
  18. Wait! That didn't come out right! I meant "smother him with love & attention" not a pillow.
  19. Yummy. Max is washing your mouth out with soap. Did you use any bad words? I'm sure you will take good care of him. While he's immobile, smother him.
  20. Hope this is the right place to put this. My vitamin D is really low. What a surprise Has anyone taking the D3 50,000 units once a week? It didn't come with any info on side effects or proper way to take. Did find out its gluten-free. thanks.
  21. Still haven't heard back about the "cajun" flavor. A nice restuarant here in town put on the gluten-free menu that the dressings aren't gluten-free because they have potato flour which is the same as flour.
  22. We had a kid with diet issues but all the kids knew & most kids & parents wanted to bring treats that kid could have. Popsicles! Especially in Jan, Feb are a real treat. I love that!
  23. Do you have a good recipe for a wrap. Funny thing is: I have never been a big bread or bun eater before gluten-free. I love a wrap/tortilla to put sandwich, salad, leftover stir fry into. Found some rice tortillas but they are so flaky & can't wrap them.
  24. Jason - You might be surprised. Alot of nice girls will understand wierd food issues. Some may even find it a fun game to make things you like to eat. If you make the food, even better. Girls like a man who can take care of himself. That may be a bit in the future because I know you have some hard weeks ahead as you fight off the parasites. Maybe...
