  5. don't know, and I didn't know the were different till i looked into the "blood type diet", sweet potatoes are good, yams no....they ARE two different families of plants.
  6. If this were a 12 yr old female, we would be right on top of suggesting hormones being a potential problem....might they not be in a 12 yr old male as well?

  12. 1-4 vitamin deficiency..more than likely. 5 ?pancreatic issues. 7+8+10+11 question whether you are truly gluten free, this includes personal care items and cross contamination. 9 sounds like thrush to me, probiotics and nystatin swish and swallow ( if that is gluten free!) also have to wonder about over growth of unhelpful bacteria in the gut....good...
  13. This IS the only means of control! I would be suspecting dietary noncompliance, since i have known many 13/14 year old males, lol. also check on the gluten free status of his anti sz meds. Getting blood work done to determin dietary compliance would be first on my list of things to do. If he resists, you probably have your answer! You can try reminding...

  15. My HDL went up when i supplemented with Vit D. My Vitamin D level was only 49, so i have upped that again.....will see what the cholesterol is in a few months.
  16. Gastro: Follows me up with Celiac tTG testing and vitamin tests. Currently my Vitamin D is at 30 (range 30-80), Zinc 12 (range 12-30) and B12 is 200 (range 160-900), all other vitamins tested were normal. He wants these three to come up, but feels my levels are doing well for only 1 year Gluten Free. ALL of these are low! B12 should be methyl... and on...
  17. You can't stop eating guten 'till after the testing is done....that said, if you have a great deal of personal flexibility (time) try getting on the doctor's cancelation list, so that you can be seen as soon as possible!
  18. If they can "blame" it on your diet, they do not have to acknowledge that there child/sibling is potentially very ill......

    both of the highlighted items are LAXATIVES, the first is sold as miralax, the second is not so common otc, i see in LTC, occasionally.!

  21. nasogastric is NOT TPN, tpn is intravenous nutrition. Parenteral is IV, enteral is gut.
  22. NO NO NO sensitive to gluten means NO more gluten!!
  23. do you sleep with a feather pillow? do you sleep primarily on the affected side?
