The tests don't work if you're gluten-free and not everyone is comfortable with self-diagnosis. I see from your previous posts that you tried the diet before and I guess you stopped for some reason? -

In a young child, anti-TTG is quite specific for celiac. It is an autoimmune antibody. In adults it can also appear in rheumatoid arthritis and a couple other conditions but that's rare in a child. She definitely needs to be seen by a GI and chances very good are she will have a positive biopsy. Even if she doesn't have a strongly positive biopsy you should... -

Your daughter has two celiac risk factors, the low IgA and the copy of DQ2.5. Fortunately she didn't get two genes that are associated with celiac. I couldn't eat cow dairy at first and ate only a little goat and sheep cheese. After a while (probably six or nine months) I was able to eat dairy again. With me it was a cow casein sensitivity. I don't seem to have problems with lactose. -

You might want to have a look at this if you are eating barley malt. Tricia Thompson, who is one of the best celiac dietitians around, says eating barley malt not a good idea, despite whatever your book might say. Well, since we can't have barley malt it's sort of a non-issue. I would be surprised if a tiny bit would make a big difference though. They're probably talking about eating it by the cup, as a normal grain. Some high-fiber grains can lower blood sugar. Oats do it, as does rye. I'm the exact opposite as Marz. My nausea and D pretty much went away in a week but all the mental symptoms took more like a year. I had no idea the gluten was even causing them until I realized I was getting anxiety attacks when I got glutened. -

I use that recipe all the time. It should bake at 450, not 350. It's better with fresh buttermilk but your substitution works in a pinch. The batter will be pretty thin - definitely a batter and not a dough. -
Well, it's creative. I don't see how a service dog could do something like smell CC in a restaurant where there is bread on all the tables and crumbs everywhere but it's hard for us humans to imagine how a dog's nose really works.. A nice lab might help with the panic attacks, but I doubt it needs to be a service dog.

I believe what Cass was trying to say is that she is personally beginning to understand the role of the various antibodies. What she said is correct and has been shown in studies. The question isn't that of which antibodies play what roles, but rather whether there are anti-EMA and anti-TTG antibodies in places we aren't measuring. Blood is not the place... -

Thanks for the heads up! I think I've seen mention of flour in some of the other holiday Reese's. That's one where you always have to check the label. On the bright side, Hershey's says they will always put gluten ingredients on their labels. -

That makes a lot more sense. Your test values were very low, only 1 unit and 2 units, with anything below 20 being negative. That means they are definitely negative. Your first labs are definitely negative. The second looks like a computer glitch. Value 1 and Value 2 should be YOUR numbers and it looks like the computer didn't fill them in. Are they somewhere else on the page? I think you need to ask your doctor for the actual numbers. That is a new, very sensitive test and four days gluten-free will not skew it...
