  1. I have heard great things about three lac too. Just make sure it is gluten free!
  2. I use J&J shea and cocoa butter baby lotion and also the night time baby lotion. I have used the baby wash and the shampoos and have not had any reactions. Did they send you a list? Which lotion did they say was gluten free?
  3. From what I know about candida, you can manage it on your own with the candida diet. I think it basically consists of no sugars except from fruit and no yeast or vinegar. There is a lot more to it. I think there is a website that explains the diet. A friend of mine has systemic candida and follows the diet.
  4. The Utz chips look great and what an allergy friendly company! It looks like they are mostly on the east coast. Too bad they are no where to be found in my area. I have been eating the plain Lays Stax for 2 years before I tried these Lays Classic chips today and never had a problem with them. They are made on dedicated equipment in a whole other country...
  5. Ive never heard of Utz chips. I don't think they have them in my part of the country. (Missouri) Anyone know where I can find them?
  6. After reacting to tons of "gluten free" processed foods, I have been considering eating nothing processed. Does anyone eat this way and if so, is it really hard to do? I have been eating a lot of gluten free bisquick, betty crocker cookies and potato chips and I keep getting sick by CC. If I eat nothing processed at all, I wont get sick by cc. I have...
  7. A few hours ago for lunch, I made myself a plain burger. I ate that with Heinz ketchup. I know this is safe as I have eaten it a million times. I usually eat Lays plain Stax but since reading Frito Lays gluten free list, I decided to try Lays Classic plain chips. With in an hour of eating the chips, I got my normal reaction, short of breath, flushed face...

    ARCHIVED What Do You Eat?

Mission Corn Chips and Corn Tortillas are great! They have never made me sick and I am super sensitive.
  9. I don't have any info on the bread but the Bisquick biscuits with cheese in them are so good! I would go ahead and make the brownies anyway. People love chocolate and that way you will have something too. There are some great recipes using the bisquick and the brownies on the Betty Crocker gluten free site. Tell me more about this bread..What brand is...
  10. Thanks for posting! Looks great, I can't wait to make this.
  11. Applesauce and Jello cups are good choices. Skittles and Starburts are marked gluten free.
  12. I'm sorry that you are feeling sick. You fell off the wagon, now hop back on. There are so many great gluten free foods that you don't need to be eating gluten since it makes you sick. As far as drinks with friends, get some gluten free beer and invite your buddies over for some gluten free food.
  13. Barley grass is not gluten free. Some natural foods manufactures claim that it is b/c it is not actually the barley grain but the grass. I bet that you got sick from the barley grass. Hope you feel better soon.
  14. Brown rice is gluten free. As far as cross contamination goes, I am very sensitive and have never had a problem with any rice. Rice is gluten free and safe for us to eat.
  15. I have long hair with gray mixed in so I know where you are coming from as I have thought about getting my hair colored as well. I personally am against it b/c I don't like the idea of all of those chemicals on my head. We as celiacs already have a toll take on or immune systems that I don't think we need the chemicals sitting on our heads and seeping into...
  16. The Charmin or Cottonelle wipes help cut down on the wiping and soreness.
  17. Does anyone here with celiac have arthritis as well? I have terrible arthritis in my hand joints and in my neck. I have read that there is a connection with celiac and arthritis. What is the best over the counter med. to take? I have been taking Tylenol but I don't really notice a difference.
  18. The yellow cake mix makes the BEST soft and chewy (not cake like) sugar cookies. They taste like the real deal. The recipe is on the Betty Crocker gluten free page. I have made them a bunch of times. They taste great with Nestle milk choc. chips mixed in too.
  19. Thanks everyone for the info. My chicken and rice casserole would not be the same without Progresso broth.
  20. Does anyone here know if the Jello brand pudding cups are safe? I have a 6 pack of chocolate and vanilla Jello pudding cups but I don't have the packaging that lists the ingredients. Something in the grocery bag leaked and got all over them so I had to wash them off and throw the packaging away. Thanks!
  21. I like the Spring Valley line too. You could also drink orange juice with vitamin D and calcium.
  22. Hello, I have been a member here for a while. When I first started a gluten free diet, I avoided milk b/c of lactose. I am now able to drink Lactaid milk. I go through 2 cartons a week myself. I feel that I need the calcium and Vit. D. It seems to me that so many here avoid milk. Is this because of the lactose because thats what lactaid milk is for or...
  23. I trust General Mills as well. I use the Progresso Broths all the time and I really love the Chicken Corn Chowder soup. I was just wondering what yeast extract is b/c I have read that it's made from barley. Theirs must not be or I would be sick right now. Anyone know what yeast extract is and where it comes from?
  24. I am wondering what exactly yeast extract is. I made some soup using Progresso Chicken Broth. It is labeled gluten free. I am wondering however about the yeast extract. I have read that it is made from barley. Is this correct and if so, how can this product be gluten free. Thanks!
  25. I just ordered some Pioneer multi-vitamins. Does anyone else take these? They are the only gluten free vitamins that I could find. I did see Barley Grass in the ingredient label even though they say gluten free and safe for celiacs. Does anyone take these?
