  1. What a wonderful opportunity! I've always wanted to go and Janet's comment makes it seem like it might be possible someday.
  2. Ireland and Italy because I am Irish and my husband is Italian.
  3. I don't care for Udi's either. I like Schar's Dinner Rolls for sandwiches. I slice them, butter them and "toast" them in a skillet......a little more effort, but they are really good. I like the texture of them better than Udi's. Kinnikinnick hamburger rolls are good too. This doesn't solve the PB&J problem, but I don't like those anyway.
  4. If you are still eating gluten, you probably are not absorbing the B12. Try the sublingual kind....they will get into your system better.
  5. I think your doctor is wrong to tell you that you will feel better in 2 weeks. For most of us, it takes many months or longer.....sorry, not what you want to hear, I'm sure. You are probably going through gluten withdrawal as well. It's too bad that some doctors tell their patients that they will feel better in such a short period of time because that...
  6. I have a box of those too, but haven't tried them yet. I have loved everything of Kinnikinnick so far.
  7. I bought a package of Glutino Vanilla Cream Sandwich cookies and they are really really good.....look and taste like an Oreo! I don't usually buy packaged gluten-free cookies because they are so pricey, but I don't think I could bake anything like an Oreo and wanted to have something quick to snack on. Very happy with these!
  8. Anxiety and balance issues, too. Both seem to be improving for me. I haven't tried going out on a boat, for example, though......that would be a big test. I never used to get seasick, but last year, when I was the sickest, I probably would have.
  9. The new album by Airborne Toxic Event (their long-awaited second) is just super fantastic!
  10. No, you are not a wimp. I just gave up my job too. It was only part time, but I just dreaded it some days. I think I may have been getting glutened there, even though I didn't eat there. It was a meals program for the elderly and the new cook bakes bread, biscuits, etc. So, there was probably CC from the flour in the air. I miss the people, but I think...
  11. Pepto Bismol is safe for us. I have seen posts on here about it. I take it.....no problems. Hope you feel better soon.
  12. Thank you!
  13. Where do you get the bracelets?
  14. I had to take enormous pills. 4 at a time every 15 minutes until I had taken 12. First round was at 11am, then again at 5pm. They started to work before I even finished the first dose and I literally had to sit in a chair by the bathroom door all day and well into the evening. It was brutal. I drank lots and lots of liquid but still got dehydrated.
  15. Yes, I have had mine, but, for some of us, the prep is absolutely awful. I guess it depends on your doctor and what method he or she uses. The procedure itself was a piece of cake and they didn't find anything, so I'm glad for that. But I will be VERY reluctant to ever have another one.
  16. They look awesome!!!!
  17. Yes, your doctor should definitely test your Vitamin B12 and D. Most of us are deficient in those. Can you get in to see him sooner? And you need a good multi-vitamin, too. I take Nature Made.....they are gluten free. You probably also need Folate (B6) as well. I'm sure some others here will remember more stuff you should have checked. Good luck.
  18. That's awful! Is it a well-known chain? If it is, you could go to their website and contact them. Let them know how rude the waitress was. Really unacceptable.
  19. I found this on Facebook this morning, posted by Celiac In the House. Open Original Shared Link
  20. We've made the pizza crust too.
  21. In case anyone wants to try a gluten free focaccia, the recipe in Gluten Free Baking Classics by Annalise Roberts is AMAZING! It is SOOOO good. We made it today. Easy to do, too.
  22. I do. They are kind of big, but easy to swallow. I sometimes have trouble with big pills but these are smooth and go down easy.
  23. I agree with Sylvia about the Kitchen Aide. It is definitely worth the price and should last you a really long time. I had one anyway. And look for sales at Macy's if there is one near you.
