  1. Among many sore things on me ( ) my calves are BRUTAL! TIGHT and sore...despite stretching. No explanation for me, either....I have TIGHT hamstrings too...nasty. I have lots of neuropathic pain...and I have heard others talk of sore calves, too. Maybe they will post...
  2. It helps a lot!! What an amazing story! So glad you are well and cancer-free! (I know this is Nat's post, but I'm following it like a hunting dog LOL) You are so inspiring!! I am weeping with joy at the stories because you all found healing! Parts of your story are similar to mine-- the sore throat, anxiety, depression, insomnia. I have been...
  3. Many people on here use packaged foods on their gluten-free diet and do just fine !! However, some people prefer a "whole foods" diet --that means NOTHING processed or from a package with added ingredients. Ever. (no chips, boo hoo) Also, nothing "cured", nothing "prepared" at all...for example, luncheon meat. The "all natural" thing on...
  4. I am thinking that is the case for me. That the soybean oil--like in mayo-- is okay, but the protein is not. The IgG testing is for antibodies to the protein. The skin prick and ELISA allergy test to soybean showed absolutely no reaction whatsoever!! This stuff is confusing and I am glad I can read so I can at least try and make sense of it all...
  5. Zack, I don't blame you one bit for pursuing tests, etc. I saw 3 neurologists and had a brain MRI. I had more tests than you can imagine. So sick, so much pain and they all shook their heads at me and said I don't know. (until I found the right doctor) Now, you and I both know we are not making this stuff up! SO MANY people test negative. But their...
  6. That is interesting how each form causes a different reaction! Thanks for sharing. I didn't even know I HAD a problem with soybean--in any form--until an MD tested me in Jan. 2010 for IgG food antibodies and SOY registered as SEVERE. So, I cut it out entirely. I never felt any better. In fact, I got worse. But that was only because I was still consuming...
  7. Yes, I have tried elimination diets and screw them up with trying too many items at once LOL It would be nice to have mayo once more.... Good luck!! let me know!!
  8. I'd go with the plain soybeans. That will keep the experiment pure. I face this "reintroduction" down the road, too...so keep us posted LOL (P>S> I don't even like tofu, but soy is in everything, so hopefully, I'll be able to tolerate again at some point)
  9. Thank you for telling your story, Richard! I am happy to hear you are feeling so well and that all your symptoms resolved. I have so many things "wrong" too...and I see a few resolving and this gives me great hope!
  10. Thanks, mama!! I AM a fighter. I have an unbelievably loving and supportive husband and WE are doing all we can to get me well. I took such a nosedive in a short time and was misdiagnosed repeatedly for 3 years--well, all of my life, actually. YET I knew in my heart what it was and I have no doubt I will recover. I am THAT positive that I am meant...
  11. Zack, Naturally occurring sugars --in foods, like fruits, veggies, grains, dairy--are used properly by the body. ADDED cane sugar is not necessary for anyone (even though we all like it!) Hon, I haven't met one person on here whose brain fog or muscle weakness disappeared in a week or even a month. Sorry. Please stop putting that pressure on yourself...
  12. I'm glad my story made you hopeful. I'm hopeful that it continues lol So far so good!!

  13. I'm very excited for the SOY FREE Blue Diamond!!! I'll be reintroducing soy sometime this week probably to see whether I can have it or not...but if not SOY FREE BLUE DIAMOND!!! My fiance is currently drinking the shelf-bought Blue Diamond with soy lecithin that I bought before :P

  14. Thanks. I'm done being scoped, prodded and tested. It's celiac. No need for antibiotics. (they're part of the reason I'm in this mess). I meant that drugs give me stomach pain. Since gluten-free, My stomach doesn't hurt
  15. That's awesome, Judy..THANK YOU!! Even though Nat started this thread, I am feeling so much better :>)
  16. Chillster! I may need input from the "pros" on here for that book and I'll give them to anyone who contributes...how does that sound?:>) Zack Just this AM, I was having a good cry for myself and thought...man, I NEED to ask if someone will share MORE success stories for inspiration and someone posted that very same question and I JUST read it...
  17. MAMAW! I just filled up with tears at your story! You are an inspiration!! NAT!! OMG!! I was thinking about asking this very same question today because I admit, I am feeling discouraged. I have been so sick and in such debilitating muscle/joint and neuropathic pain for so long --along with GI symptoms, lost hair, weak and spacey headed, etc....
  18. Gosh, some of this sounds good (but it's 5 PM as I read this , and I wish I could eat like this in the morning. Maybe I am still too raw in the tummy for meats and such for breakfast. I have a hard time working up an appetite for "dinner" at breakfast. LOL I assume you guys have healed and don't have burning stomachs ....all I can choke down is homemade...
  19. You are not bugging us! How do you think I learned so much? I researched for a year--guess where I kept ending up? right here ... and once I joined, I asked a bunch of questions! I still ask them. There is no manual or handbook on this---(although I think I may write one when I can keep my brain functioning at top speed again)...it's trial and error and...
  20. I want to add that Blue Diamond just revamped their almond milk too--and there is no soy in it. Look for them in the dairy section with the new label saying "NOW SOY FREE!!" Do NOT buy the ones on the shelf--they are the old formula and have soy lecithin in it.
  21. I sneak potato chips too. I can't help it. My diet is so rigid,I feel like busting out once and a while!! As for the egg...did you always get a headache after eating eggs? If so, then it is not "new" and maybe you should avoid them for now? Wine will provoke migraines. Did you drink the wine before the headache came on?? Just trying to help...
  22. well, I must have been stressed every day for 3 years. (come to think of it, I was because I did not know what the heck was wrong with me) If you did tell the doctor, the first thing she'll suggest to you --after the shrug--is fibromyalgia. (a wide range diagnosis for muscle pain) I heard it frequently. One guy told me "it's fibro, even though I don...
  23. Many, many drugs. No relief, just stomach pain. I gave up. I don't tolerate drugs well at all. I live in the NEast, too--it is dreary. My cousin has one of those. Maybe I should investigate it. My Vit D levels are pretty good. I am just in pain. sigh....
  24. I used to enjoy massages for years until this burning set in. Now, it is just too abrasive. I have had trigger point massage MANY times by chiropractors, MTs, PTs, myofascial release therapist --(I even had rolfing--check that one out on google )... Plus, I learned how to do it and hubby does it for me, too.. YET I still have horrid knots and pain. They...
  25. I live.. in the middle of the prairies.. 1/2 way between Saskatoon and Calgary. I grew up here.. a farmers daughter. The irony.. unable to eat wheat!
