  1. Not fun I'm planning on making a noodle stirfry. I tried the rice noodles this past weekend and.... they were very very good. It will probably be a veggie version, mushrooms, snow peas, broccoli, carrots and whatever else i can toss in.
  2. I can't help but wonder if these are minor allergies rather than intolerences or celiac due to the skin reactivity. To be fair, not everyone knows what is in the items that are used, especially things like the adhesive strips.
  3. It is hard to say what caused it. With my allergy to tomatoes, it took a lot to track down. My symptoms were not normal either (felt like I had a bad sunburn on my head, neck, and shoulders). It would look normal and have no redness. My first sign was my ears, they would start up and the rest would soon follow. Once i stopped eating them, I no longer had...
  4. Have you replaced any scratched pans, wooden spoons, etc? That might be an issue there. Again, its only been a week. It could very well be that those foods are not necessarily giving you the issues, rather your body is going through a withdrawl period from gluten.
  5. Gluten withdrawl is another reason. What were some of his favorite gluten containing foods? Most can be made gluten free.
  6. I can only think of making your own broth. You can freeze it into ice cube trays and use them as needed.
  7. Is the iron skillet a cast iron one? I've heard you can re-season those in the oven and it should be okay.
  8. If i wanted to do a baked pasta using ancient harvest qunioa pasta, how would i go about doing so?
  9. You guys are awesome I've been looking for a new place to eat at. How are the prices? I know they vary by area, but in general.
  10. I would go to the GP first. However, if it only occurs during the winter and no other time, I wouldn't think DH. It is possible, but from what i understand of DH, it would occur far more often via CC or in a gluten containing diet.
  11. Do they have, generally, good gluten free practices?
  12. Has anyone been here? Is it any good?
  13. What about missed days due to being too sick?
  14. Have you went to an ENT (ears, nose, and throat doctor)? What happens with nose bleeds is that you have very small veins in your nose and sometimes those veins come too close to the surface. When that happens, you can have very bad nose bleeds that are caused by the smallest things (such as cold, dry air or even just dry air). If that is the case, it...
  15. Decided to catch up a bit... Ah thats nothin'. It is no myth.... You guyz were right... those cheese crackers are very very good. I haven't tryed that brand before... What type of starch and how much? Been there done that. I generally eat some raw veggies with the dip as well. My dinner tonight? Snow peas, cream cheese, and...
  16. Yep, The wind is what makes it worse....
  17. Not all celiacs have stomach problems.
  18. I cannot handle eating pork chops, ham steaks, and sometimes ribs. Yet, i have no issues whatsoever with hormel's natural honey ham lunch meat. I'm thinking it might be something the first two may or may not be treated with... ideas?
  19. Have you tried a local butcher to see if you can get a corn free bacon?
  20. Mushrooms are not nightshades. Nightshades are but not limited to: tomatoes, potatoes, and peppers (both bell and spicy kinds). Sounds like an allergy to me. Have you tried anything new lately?
  21. Can you freeze them? I'd imagine for things like cookies, the dough would freeze well. I do not know a lot about this, however. Perhaps someone will chime in?
  22. Oats could be causing the issues.
  23. 8 degrees on thursday here as well....
  24. Just to point out something, people can also be allergic to the saliva of an animal (such as a dog or a cat). It is not always the dander.
