  1. I'd say phooie on the 1k calorie thing and go for it (if you don't have a medical reason to do so). You could also eat more often with less meals. Thats what i generally do.
  2. IF you are in the U.S. celiac falls under the ADA (americans with disability act) and a school has to accomodate you. Get yourself a rice cooker and a crock pot. IF you have a fridge you can store things there and cook in your room if you have to. THere are corn tortillas for wraps and whatnot.
  3. I didn't have vitamin diffenencys (we're all different!) but i had major gastreo issues (vomiting and "D"). postive IGA TTG and genetic testing, negative biopsy.
  4. I realized when i was at the store yesterday that i spent less (like 2/3s less) then i would have before i went gluten free. This was with my rice chex and a loaf of udi's.
  5. IBS is a catchall term for somethings wrong with your gut (aka somethings bothering it).
  6. Go to bed earlier than you normally would.
  7. Nothing, however i am eating leftover hamburger and apples. Tommorow is a soup day. I might make beef soup again.
  8. Gluten free is hard for those who are used to the gluteny stuff. Believe it or not, after a while on it, it tastes a lot better. Playdough is a pain to get out and who's to say he won't put his finger near his mouth when playing with it? I adore the corn/quinova mixes, i can't handle the ever raved rice one on here, it sits like lead in my stomach.
  9. Its bleach and viniger that do that, not soap :/ At any rate, why didn't you just soap and clean that sink throughly after he left? If you did, i doubt that would have done it.
  10. Well guys i just walked about a mile and a half for a school event (to get a free tshirt) and i got my face somewhat painted. I heard that walking can help with "C" and exercise in general. Mind you i just froze my butt off (its like 30 something outside with misting) but i hope it helps some.
  11. You need to stay on the gluten or risk a false reading :/ eh, it was a few weeks i think.
  12. college student here too i got dx'd my sophmore year yeah thats normal, just go slow and steady. After a few months add some stuff back in.
  13. i'll look into the powder idea coffee doesn't like me i'll look into the supplements.
  14. lol i only drink water, sodas and whatnot cause my GERD to act up >.> I'll pick up some brown rice. On the probiotic thing, i generally can't take pills cause they give me a bad sour stomach I think if i keep the high fiber up, then things may go back to normal (I hope).
  15. IS she allowed to keep a snack and a waterbottle with her? What about tummy meds? The ability to lie down in the nurses office if needed?
  16. Does the hotel have a frige and microwave in it (per room)? If so, you could make up some meals, freeze them, then reheat. There is always samwiches and whatnot. Crock pot? Rice cooker? Those type of things you could do and make meals out of it.
  17. Ever since the fiasco with the spinage and consequently the soy, i've been haveing a on going case of "C". I had some pre all of this, but not to this extreme. Its like my system has been on over loaded ever since that blasted stomach virus. I mean, i'll go a little, but the cramping and whatnot is still there (thus making it rather unconfortable to...
  18. As far as i know, all meats. You do need some veggies dear. Is there any that you can tolerate? You're setting yourself up for one major "C" issue
  19. Soy sauce generally isn't gluten free dear. All of us would probably react to it lol.
  20. Ah, but the good thing is you are maintianing instead of gaining, that is a step right there. Don't worry, it'll come off slowly. I was at 180ish at 5'4'' at one point in time as well (before i had to go gluten free), i lost 40lbs in little over a month (NOT the way to do it) due to the vomiting and "D" I went through. Now a days, i am just under...
  21. No idea, maybe something with hamburger? Or maybe just cooking up another acorn squash.... or something.
  22. Also playdouh is made with wheat flour, there are gluren free options. Some paint supplies (like glue) also have it. I only know U.S. laws regarding it but there are some canadians on here that can help.
  23. Oh i'm planning on it >:3
  24. Ideal i believe is closer to 3-4 months.
  25. i'm definently makeing myself a pie this year >.> other family members can boohoo about it (considering they normaly have like two pies per holiday). I'll try one of these recipies. Though, i'm only a fan of an apple pie with the crumble on top.
