  1. TT_TT I fixed pasta with alfedo and spinage... I was fine for the first about two hours then it hit me bad; upset stomach akin to motion sickness stomach. I can handle dairy just fine (as i had mac and cheese last weekend just fine), i'm thinking my favorite veggie is the cause. -sigh- Its bad enough after i started this diet that i had to cut green...
  2. another thought, keep things basic. Don't overseason anything. It took me forever to get over the major "C" i had after i started the diet.
  3. I agree getting meat outside of the main stream stores is best. I get mine at a butcher shop and know the family that runs it. No extra water or anything. I love the flavor and only add a bit of seasoning when i wish it.
  4. No kidding. I have a hard time taking anything without thinking "OMGWHATISTHISGONNADOTOME?!?!?". Then my stress goes up, etc.... bad cycle is bad.
  5. Smart GI doctor. If you can get an accurate dx, you will be able to get accomodations and whatnot at school for your son. This way, it won't have a chance to start healing before the test. I had mine done 4 weeks after i went gluten free and it was negative. Wish i had stayed on it until then.
  6. Trust us dear, we've all been there. I have a main care doctor (who is excellent outside of this issue), that believes its an allergy and doesn't wanna hear elsewise -______________________________________________-;;
  7. Pssssh, just watched it. He encourages people to go see their diet and start a gluten free diet before getting any other testing done O.o
  8. She needs to brush her teeth and whatnot before kissing you.
  9. I say its gallbalddder going that needs to be taken out. Mine would hit hard in the right area where it sits, so bad that i couldn't hardly breath when it did it. Turns out it was functioning at 5%.
  10. In all honesty, i'm not going to worry about it. Why? Well, were all gonna die of something be it arsnic in the water or food or something else. I personally cannot afford to not eat rice. beans are a no go for me as i get the worst stomach aches form them. I don't overly eat rice persay, but generally i'll make up about 3 cups a week and spread it out...
  11. .... So you willingly put yourself through that hell just to have that feeling of satisfaction? You realize a wheat intolerence will not show up on a test? It is only found via an elimination diet. sorry i just cannot understand that.
  12. Perhaps it was just a constent stream of healthy food?
  13. oh ouch :/ I've never had one -knocks on wood hard- Any way, my no onion version came out well. I didn't add it because my hand started burning when i was peeling it (?!?!?!). It may have been because i had to handwash some pans and whatnot with bleach and soap before (like 10 or so minutes). But yeah, my cautious side said no, and i placed it in a bag...
  14. You just made a mistake that we all make. Nothing you can do now and there is no need to fuss over it (as the stress is not worth it). Remember it for the future and try not to do it again.
  15. I miss the gas stove we used to have. I never burnt anything on it >.> bahumbug electric stoves Anyway, ground serlion, cabbage, and carrots made into a soupish thing. Perhaps with some of my left over rice.
  16. it could be a combo. When going to a new country for a visit, the water is different from what you drink at home. The same advice pertains to pets as well, as they can react that way too. slowly ease yourself on it while mixing water from the US and there. It could be an accidentle plate switch.
  17. You scare me, taking benadryl just to eat approcots? o.o So NOT worth it.
  18. Agreed be rid of the diet stuff. They often add sugar alternatives to them that aren't so good for your body.
  19. I wish i had my normal back. I think you might be right that might have a role in it. Why is it then when you get a bug, it messes up your bodys balance? Ugh. I ate some prunes so hopefully that'll help along with my veggie filled planned dinner. I would take probiotics but my stomach does not like pills. And i've beeen feeling like a slug for...
  20. How long after you cook the meal do you put it up? Sometimes it can start to go bad if its been left to sit too long (i learned the hard way).
  21. Yes, three times and i paid for it with chronic "C". It was shortly after my dx as well. Believe it or not a year and a half later, i really really do not miss those foods as i have found substitutes for it.
  22. Because generally they have to knock a patient out when they do that test.
  23. changed my mind again, plain jane rice with a tidbit of salt. Stomach decided it didn't want what i had planned.
  24. As you all know, i had been sick, then doing better. Now i've had the cronic "C" for the past few days along with cramping. I returned to my regular diet as of thursday, which included activia yogert. I ate one little cup of it and had a belly ache afterward. Now this. Its slowly getting better, but still -_____- I played with fire and i got burned...
  25. changed my mind as i forgot to let the meat defrost, its gonna be spinage fettachini alfredo.
