  1. As part of the mentral cycle a small cyst on the ovary bursts and sends an egg down the fallopian tube. Sometimes the cyst has grown bigger than it should, or can cause pain when it bursts. It might be that? With such a sudden onset, and due to the location, and that it's happening around the same time each month that would be my guess. I hope it isn't...
  2. It's a tough call. With her numbers rising, I would be concerned that she may have a gluten problem? Were you told to try taking her off gluten to see how she does..or do they want to see if her numbers continue to rise? If you're not sure what the reason for the wait is..call and ask them?

It's also possible that they caught your gluten intolerance early, before a lot of damage has been done? Did you get Celiac blood tests? It seems like we get more sensitive to gluten once we're off it for a while, so take the time now to go through your spices and seasonings, condiments in the fridge, etc. Get rid of anything with gluten. Then wash down anywhere you've had gluten stored or used. I didn't have the energy to wash down shelves and cabinets when first Dxed. I just did it...
  6. I react to corn which has been dried and processed..like Fritios..but ate corn on the cob last week with no reaction. There's also corn starch in my medications and supplements, which I don't seen to react to?

Even if you are are restricted to certain Dr.s right now, you may not be forever? It would be very good to have these test results for your file.   11. It really could be either one..or a problem in your colon? An ultrasound should show if you have an ovarian cyst problem...or sometimes the Dr. can feel it by pressing on your tummy and feeling it. For the Celiac testing you need to continue eating gluten. I think it's time to get into a Dr. and get checked?
  12. I'm getting neurological responses to gluten now. On March 20 I cleaned the cupboard that we used to store the wheat flour in. I breathed in a bit of the dust and it got me.   13. I'm glad everything went ok at the Dentist. Pretty ironic that the gal that checked for gluten may have a problem with it too? I was at the Dentist today too. Broke a molar in half on Saturday. Dentist put some "bondo" type stuff in to fill the missing area on Monday. We had to wait for it to completely harden so I went back today to get the impressions...
  14. I have to say..my exerience with Dr.s has not been good. They don't listen and insist on putting people on anti-depressants, no matter what their ailment is. When I kept complaining about my many various symptoms from unDXed Celiac..they kept offering me more med to numb me down! It really is like they get a kick back for some of those meds?
  15. I agree..PPIs can mess you up if you take them for a long time..espcially. The symptoms for low acid and high acid are the same. Most Dr.s don't test our acid levels before prescribing. They hear "reflux" and write up an RX. I was having GB like pain for over 2 years. An ultrasound showed no stones, so the Dr. dismissed any other complaints about it...
  16. I haven't tried baking with the Earth Balance. I use it on baked potatoes, veggies, stuff like that. For baking, or gluten-free Krispy Treats I use coconut oil. The good kind..like Nutiva(organic, pure) It has a lot of health benefits, so I use it quite a bit instead of butter,and for browing meats, etc.
  17. It's my understanding that Dr.s are supposed to give a reason for asking for a particular test? It helps eliminate the over prescribing of some tests. Usually, the Dr.s office handles that and we aren't aware it's even going on. I'm surprised the insurance contacted you instead of his office.

  21. The enzyme that breaks down the lactose in dairy products is made on the tips of the villi. If you have any villi damage, lactose will give you trouble. Some people take a supplement that helps break it down if they feel the need to continue eating it.   24. I think you may have to have a "family meeting" with your guests and hubby? You'll have to explain cc and that it only takes a crumb to make you ill. Plates must be used and any crumbs cleaned up right away. Most people have absolutely no ideathat their crumbs could hurt you. I'm sure they think everything is fine as long as you don't eat bread with them...
  25. I wouldn't worry about it either, unless you're adding canned stock to it that might have msg or autolyzed yeast extract? They *could* give you a problem, because they are chemicals. I know how frustrating and dire your situation is to you right now. It's easy to question everything, which is your survival instinct kicking in. Question..but don't stress...
