  1. No, I have antivirus & have scanned it & it's clean. I'm now on Safari & have logged in after clearing cookies & caches. I have not had any trouble on any other sites/forums. Let's see if this post actually posts & doesn't give me the 406 error. fingers crossed.
  2. I thought I had it this morning. I got in on using Safari this morning & posted a reply here & hit submit & then it gave me the error page again & that was that. I'm now on Chrome trying.
  3. I was not able to get on last night using either Chrome or Safari. I had some friends try from their computers which are not Macs & they had these results: Friend #1 I clicked on "current subscriber login" that was highlighted in yellow. When I click on Join Open Original Shared Link's forum / message board and get your questions answered! Our forum...
  4. Open Original Shared Link When I was doing low iodine I researched like mad. These are the other things I found that had higher iodine content: The skin of potatoes Greens - ie: mustard, collard, turnip asparagus spinach the skin of peanuts raisins carrageenan or it's other names -- they are all sea algae/seaweed/kelp beans sich as kidney, pinto Those are...
  5. Ok, here's the screenshot. I'll keep trying Safari & see what happens & report back.
  6. Ok, that posted using Chrome. I took a screenshot of what I get in Safari. Let me see if I can post that screenshot for you. BRB.
  7. Scott, I signed in on Safari a little while ago & posted a reply right here, hit submit reply, & then got a page that had the c.com header & said 406 - Not acceptable. Then below that said click to return to home page. I clicked & kept getting the very same page & messages. Now I am on chrome trying it to see what happens. Let's see if...
  8. Lisa, there are a TON of myths out there on the internet that just scare the crap out of people & the info. for celiac disease & where gluten hides in all manner of products is not exempt from the "terrors" of misinformation. Some of them are carry overs from old, old, old information before we had learned things & before certain rules were put...
  9. My 2 cents? I don't think you're being over diligent in wanting an endoscopic biopsy considering all the other diagnosis you have had along the journey. Just make sure they take 6 samples minimum.
  10. You were really lucky with the doc you had. I know you have stated that many times yourself but boy were you ever lucky! I agree with you on the prescription meds --- OTC meds should be required to list too. Thankfully I am not on any meds at present & the only OTC I take are Advil & Claritin as needed but I worry a lot about having to take...
  11. You're most welcome! Here's a link for things that may help you deal with the rash in the meantime: https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/96552-help-for-the-itching-stinging-burning-pain-of-dh/
  12. Thanks Cyclinglady. Yes, it is a PITA. Like you I am not about to go eating these items to test them. I prefer the "I recovered by eliminating them" method. So it seems this whole journey continues to be a learning curve right? I have vowed now to only add 1 item at the time and keep a food & symptom log each time I add a new item. Said new item will...
  13. Okay, so what you read on the other forum about the blisters needing to be intact is not correct. BUT the pattern the lab will be looking for is easily destroyed by scratching and the lesion must be active, not an old one. Here's what I suggest people do ~~~ pick a few lesions on fatty skin, meaning someplace the derm is likely to take a biopsy from rather...
  14. I spoke again with Jimmy Dean yesterday and got a different person - one in the research department and it all comes down to what I was told from day 1 each time I called in the 3.5 years I've been gluten-free. They can't guarantee it's gluten-free because they don't test it but there are no gluten ingredients in it that they know of. The usual cya statement...
  15. Oh boy. {{{{Wendi}}}}} Kudos for doing reading & research. it will make things much easier for me to explain since I won't have to start from zero. First of all, your blood test was not a complete celiac panel AND if you were gluten free for a year then you would or should test negative. IF you have dh then 60% of us test negative on the celiac blood...
  16. jennigoose, Have you been eating oats? If so, you might try eliminating those & see how you feel but give it time, not just a couple of weeks. A small percentage of us have real reactions to even certified gluten-free oats but if you're going to eliminate oats then you also have to eliminate products that have been cross contaminated with gluten-free...
  17. Yes, you can make a sandwich for your husband if you wash your hands after. You're allowed to touch gluten as long as you don't get it in your mouth or inhale gluten flour which will go down your throat into your tummy. That's a long winded way of saying you can't mix up gluten cakes or bread or play with gluten flours.
  18. Bone broth hon. It will help you heal & it's very gentle on the tummy. Here's how: Open Original Shared Link
  19. Yes, you can be both celiac and allergic to wheat & I second what Bartful said about getting an epi pen.
  20. Yes, I know it all costs the earth but having Canyon Bakehouse shipped would be totally insane price wise. Oh you're a funny girl. Whoops! Forgot to say, I called Publix & they DO carry the Canyon Bakehouse! Yaaaaaay! Must be a new thing for them because I've checked all their gluten-free breads before & never saw Canyon Bakehouse. If I...
  21. Wait a minute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just checked their site for stores & it says my local Publix carries it. I will call them & make sure but WOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. You are so sweet!!!! Thank you for researching that for me! It's not available here but I can order online barring it costing an arm & a leg.
  23. Ohhhhhhh Barty! {{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Darned if you do & darned if you don't. What a fix to be in. I got all excited at Karen's idea of dehydrating the golden raisins yourself. Okay, so you'll experiment. If even the dark raisins fail then you owe it to yourself to try dehydrating the golden raisins before you give up the trials. Maybe either...
  24. Thanks Barty. Well as far as the Udi's/Glutino goes I really should have thought of that earlier and realized they are not going to think about certified gluten-free oats affecting us. After all, the study that was done found 8% of 73 participants reacted to the oats in a way they could measure. I think it would cost them considerably to isolate the gluten...
  25. After all this time I am now having trouble coping. I am having brain fog and it feels like I'm going crazy. I feel like a newbie all over again. I found out several months ago that I actually have a real reaction to even certified gluten-free oats. All my symptoms started coming back including the dh. So I ditched the oats for sure! Months went by &...
