ARCHIVED Read This If You Could Use A Chuckle :)

My bunny is up all night, every night, playing. On top of that my husband sounds like an entire army of chainsaw murderers when he sleeps. It is a miracle that with my earplugs I can even hear an alarm go off in the mornings. Sleeping with them takes some getting used to, but it sure beats going to jail for murdering your husband because you can't sleep. -

I sent them a note. I am simply sitting back and reserving judgement until I know what is in these things. They aren't the sort of thing anyone, gluten free or not, should be eating regularly, as if you want pizza, or cookies, or pie/pastries you should be making it because it is healthier, one of the most missed things I find for me is the convenience. I once fell asleep making beef stew. Fortunately it was in a very resilient non-stick pan that survived the ordeal. The stew on the other hand... not so much. -

We've had rain every day this week. Really bizarre weather we're having. I swear sometimes with the way our weather syncs up we could be next door neighbors! -

Last time I made angel food cake I made lemon curd to top it with and ice cream with my yolks. You don't need an ice cream maker to make ice cream, just patience and an alarm to remind you to check on it frequently. Open Original Shared Link Open Original Shared Link -

Tonight we'll have the little bit of leftover pork loin from last night. I think I'll make some buckwheat cakes and maybe some fried apples to go with it. I was out way too late last night, I need a nap before I have to feed my man. -

For the record, my husband says my muffins are the best thing I ever baked. He also thinks it is a crime that I am taking the best thing I ever baked away from him to share with other people. I told him I just need more flour (I used every bit of my sorghum) and I'll make him more right away. I can not recommend making this enough. I made mini ones and just... -
The first week I included a link every day to something different I wanted to highlight from the University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center. Overall I focused on symptoms and getting a diagnosis. This week I have been doing something different and asking people to reach out to others in need and letting them know that if they want more info they can come...

I'm happy to say that I after seeing the "good" dentist that I've been seeing for a few years now to finish my bridge I feel a lot better. It seems that the sensitivity I was having in the front tooth is all cleared up with the real bridge all glued on. I'm not sure how long the nerve and muscle pain in my face will last, but it is improving at a half dead...

Is there anything else that you always use when you use the curry powder? If not, I would also highly suspect one of the spices. -

Seriously! Running is for things like the zombie apocalypse. I'm not even sure I'd run if one was chasing me. I mean, why die all tired, out of breath, with terrible cramps and miserable? Besides, with my celiac addled brain I'm counting on the zombies leaving me alone. Nothing here for them anyway. (BTW, he still has all 10 of his toes! So he... -

Nobody ever misses wood stove dust, but you'll find that on occasion when you're far away from there and happen to catch a wisp of a wood stove burning it will immediately bring to mind pictures of "home." Even if home is thousands of miles away now. At least... it has worked that way for me and nearly a decade hasn't changed that. My husband, very fortunately... -

You will have a beautiful new world to experience and explore. For every ending there is a new beginning also. Our power went out in a storm this evening so there was no cooking to be done. Desperate and bored we headed to the $1 theater. (Yes, we have one of those!) We stopped at a health food store so I could get a snack since I was starving and I ended... -

In hiding. I've been debating all day what I'll feel like eating. I think I may just be able to eat real food tonight. Yay! I'm surprised that a lot of the sensitivity I had with the temp bridge is gone with the real one in place. That doesn't help with the muscle and joint pain I still have, but that is still every so slooooooooowly improving. So, since... -
ARCHIVED What Did You Have For Lunch Today?
Adalaide replied to love2travel's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I could use one to make me lunch. I may have eaten an entire breaded, fried zucchini today for lunch when I could feel my face again after my dentist appointment. I know zucchini starts out as a healthy food but I may have turned it into junk food. Oops. -

Just a thought, but depending on how much contact you have with your cat you probably want to contact the food manufacturer since more than half of the dry cat foods they make do have wheat or wheat gluten listed as an ingredient. Since cats eat, then lick themselves, then put themselves on every available surface in the house it is worth the phone call or...

I guess I'll know tomorrow or Wednesday if I'm employed or not. I can wait. I think. Patience and I still have not become friends. I tasted a little piece of my panela since this is the first time I bought this type of fresh cheese and it is really good. I can't wait to fry it later. I think I'll probably just do some fried zucchini while I'm frying things... -

I have simply made peace with the face that I am an allergy sufferer and that is how it is. I grew up in PA and was fine as a kid but always felt bad for my mother who suffered terribly. Then, suddenly the spring I was 17 it hit me like a truck. I've had bad years and worse years and the occasional less bad year, but no good years. I thought that moving west... -
The friend who we suspected had taken his life was found alive. I would say he was found okay, but that really is a stretch. It is just a relief to know he can be helped. I have lost a few friends over the years, and watched more who have made half-hearted attempts, and seen more still lose loved ones. It is no less heart breaking after a dozen times than...
