    I know this is super local, but for anyone who ever ends up in the Salt Lake area Eleanor's is positively divine. They are completely gluten free and mostly advertise as a bakery but also do pizza and arepas that are absolutely to die for. I would recommend not missing a chance to stop in if you're ever in the area.

    Wait... those things aren't just a random weed? They grow like wildfire back on the farm. I'm quite sure though that the cows probably ate them all up because I never saw them for long.

    I never knew what kind of mint we had growing out on the farm. When I went to buy some at the garden shop they had some just like it labeled apple mint. It is slightly pale and super fuzzy. Out at the farm it grows up and down the sides of the road and tries desperately to get a foothold in the fields. It never can though, the cows just munch it right off...

    I'm very sorry about your mom. It is difficult to watch someone you love suffer and know that you can't help them because they won't listen. If you know who your father's doctor is you could write a letter to him and request that he doesn't mention the letter to your father but tests for celiac.     That looks very similar to my Grammy's German potato salad, only she only uses red potatoes. I don't like russets in a potato salad. Too starchy. Blech.     I have to agree that having it tested is a good idea. There is no way to really know what it is that is making you sick unless you have it tested.     BTW, I found the pdf of the authorized foods list for Utah. The only cereals I see on the list I would bother calling about are the generic Chex ones. The rice cereals and corn flakes are all sure to have barley malt and everything else is either made of oats or wheat.     We do not have Aldi in Utah. Other than the stores listed, the two additional stores would be Smith's (Kroger in other areas) and Macey's based on those brands. (Possibly Harmon's?     Sadly, not all beans end up gluten free on the shelf. I have seen here in Utah some beans from Western Family or Kroger brand that say they are processed in a facility with wheat. Sadly, just because certain brands are covered in one state, does not mean they will be in another.

    You don't HAVE to get what you can't use. I used to do that also. If your check is for X, Y and Z and you can't use Y, just don't get it. You can explain your issues and hope they will listen. I live in Utah now but didn't deal with Utah when I did the WIC thing.

    I don't happen to recall what types of cereals they cover. I do recall that 18 years ago they did do name brand cereals. I would suggest just contacting each company about each product. I know that seems time consuming but there is really little else you can do other than not get it.

    I totally agree. This movie has made for theater action. The only reason we go to the movies pretty regularly is because of the $1 theater.     My daughter works at a theater in AR and takes her dad, step-mom, bf, friends.... and even sometimes her sister to the movies usually 2-3 times a week. After working there I'm not sure she'll ever be able to give up working for a theater the way she talks about it. She may end up keeping a theater job at least part time a day a week for many years to come...

    I won't spoil the movie for anyone, although I can not tell you how difficult it is not to do so. It is almost physically painful not to say..... stuff. It was so awesome that I would go see it again. Even at nearly $20 for two tickets. Just, if you are a Star Trek fan at all and care not to have the movie spoiled you should go immediately to see it....
