ARCHIVED Gluten And Neurological Effects
1desperateladysaved replied to Bnay14's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I had trouble with dizziness after going gluten free. It started 4 days after I went gluten free and the room seemed to spin. I now feel that cross contamination trouble began at that time for me. It did get better, but it was a complicated puzzle for me. The scent of Peppermint essential oil seemed to help the symptoms of my dizziness. One would want... -

ARCHIVED Is It Just Me, Or Are Others Not Able To Copy And Paste Links?
1desperateladysaved replied to 1desperateladysaved's topic in Board/Forum Technical Help
Yes, thanks. That sounds like what I have always done, but now I just get a spinning circle when I try this. I mean I copy, but I cannot paste?! I have left it and returned to find it still spinning. -
ARCHIVED My Eyes Shake When I Go Over Bumps In The Car.
1desperateladysaved replied to 1desperateladysaved's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Thanks, I shared it with my caregivers (I doubt they were surprised) and I decided besides to see an eye doctor about it. I've been working on sorting out insurance benefits with a new company. I don't really expect time as much of a factor since I noticed things quite a while back, but didn't think much of it until now. It isn't a problem, or even much... -

I haven't seen evidence that this is working. I am looking for e-mails saying my thread has been responded to. I just noticed a newbie recently saying they didn't see the responses to their thread until late. D -
ARCHIVED Is It Just Me, Or Are Others Not Able To Copy And Paste Links?
1desperateladysaved posted a topic in Board/Forum Technical Help
I just don't have much computer knowledge or typing ability to overcome this difficulty. ON another forum my slides of eye problems were greatly received, but somehow the connection didn't work here, so it was useless. I copy and when I try to paste, it doesn't print it. I can click somewhere else and have it print out, but not on the forum. D -

ARCHIVED Silent Celiac No More!
1desperateladysaved replied to txgal748's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I actually am kind of glad for glutening symptoms. How else would one know that damage is occurring? How else would one to avoid eating that pulled beef again? I hope you are soon debloated, but very determined to avoid gluten. D -

I am doing the Special Carbohydrates Diet. It is meat, veggies, nuts, good fats. Similar to the other diets listed out in the thread. I feel like I am still transitioning and amazing things are happening for me health. One can google SCD diet for recipes. I think you are on the right track listening and trying to help your child. I would have her fully tested for celiac. The final test would be to gluten free and see if it changes anything. I hope you get to the root of the problem soon. D- 28 replies

ARCHIVED gluten-free For 6 Years, Worse Than Ever. Help! New Person Here: )
1desperateladysaved replied to gluteymommy's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I had antibody testing for food intolerances. I had trouble with 49 of 60 foods that I was eating. . I was told I had leaky gut. I cut these problem foods and took IgG supplements and digestive enzymes. My mind seemed to clear up when I did this. I found foods that I could eat; I just selected foods that were somewhat unusual like elk, bison, and yak... -
ARCHIVED Feel Like A Hypochondriac
1desperateladysaved replied to jvdb's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I remember being asked when the baby was due. It isn't normal for a belly to stick out like that. My issue was celiac and for years I thought I was lazy or hypochondriac, or it was all in my head. IT WASN'T. I would do all I could to find out if I could do it again. In the end I just decided that people could think "ill" of me if need be, because I... -
Good News/ Bad News
1desperateladysaved commented on 1desperateladysaved's blog entry in 1desperateladysaved's Blog
Pumpkins were the problem, I am pretty sure by now. I had a battle with some store bought cauliflower, and since I am continuing debloating and feeling reasonably well. I am using SCD diet. I guess for the most part that is what I was doing anyway since I am doing grain free. -

Oh, wow! I hope all of my relatives see it. Does Quest provide a full panel? D -
I had a "crashing feeling" after I stood up. I had celiac (at the time) for at least 25 years, which likely caused my adrenal glands to be stressed out. When I took supplements to support my adrenal glands, it helped feel better when I stood up. In order to find my adrenal gland trouble my health practitioner used orthostatic blood pressure. Your symptoms...

ARCHIVED I Got My Results Don't Know What To Do Next, Please Advise
1desperateladysaved replied to tallypop's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
My health practitioner told me that unexplained low iron is often the first symptom to appear with celiac. However, I believe that other difficulties may cause low iron, such as a diet low in iron, or heavy blood loss. I recall experiencing anemia symptoms 35 years back. I got diagnosed with celiac after 30 years of undeniable symptoms. Now, at 20 months... -
ARCHIVED My Story--Looking For Similar People
1desperateladysaved replied to dch028's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
My Functional Medicine Nurse says that it is. She explained that the blood needs to be kept stable, so if the body is short, the blood steals nutrients from the cells. One lab tests white blood cells in order to see what the nutrient levels are inside of cells. This is a Spectra Cell test and has recently been accepted by Medicare. D- 7 replies

ARCHIVED My Story--Looking For Similar People
1desperateladysaved replied to dch028's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I have high blood pressure, at times, that is helped by getting enough nutrients. My fatigue I use to have gave way after getting rid of most of the foods I didn't tolerate. Mono seemed to really begin my celiac symptoms 30 years back. My other symptoms included bloating, and mind fog. Supplements helped my symptoms, but I really didn't recover until...- 7 replies

I found a picture that looked like the "orange stars" that I had. ARCHIVED My Eyes Shake When I Go Over Bumps In The Car.
1desperateladysaved replied to 1desperateladysaved's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I thought my eyes were hazel. I had noticed for years orange stars around my pupil. Today I looked in the mirror and my irises were without the orange stars. The over-all color seemed silvery, maybe even bluish. Anyone noticed such a thing? I went around asking my family members what color my eyes are. -
I had 30 years of symptoms. My anemia went away between a year and 18 months gluten free. My red blood cells became normal at that time. I feel digestive enzymes, supplements, and IgG helped in healing along with the gluten free diet. I also dealt with a major number of food intolerances. I have never had trouble with the natural iron supplements that...

ARCHIVED Birthmark Making Its First Appearance In Decades?

Yeah, mine is a strawberry. My daughter wanted hers to go away at 6, but came to think of it as a rose petal on her head and likes it too. Maybe now I can match her? Bartful, do you know how your iron levels are, or were they a problem?
