ARCHIVED No Celiac
1desperateladysaved replied to razzle51's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I was relieved to find I had celiac. I liked having an explanation for 30 years of fatigue and a way out. Yeah, I would have been glad if I didn't have to follow the diet, but I would be back to square one of what to do next. I just hope that you Razzle51 will find the keys to your health struggle and be able to do something about it. Diana -
ARCHIVED Do I Have A Gluten Intolerance?
1desperateladysaved replied to anonymous-123's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I am glad you are lookiing in to this. I think you can be helped. I am sorry you have suffered as you have. I knew that foggy, fatigued mind feeling. Mine is gone and has been for several weeks. I had to get really stringent with my diet. I keep adding things in as other things are ruled out, so actually I think my diet is more varied than it use to... -

ARCHIVED What Do You Do At The Hospital?
1desperateladysaved replied to kristenloeh's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
My children are realizing that if I need a hospital stay they will need to bring me food. If I knew in advance I would freeze servings. I might try bringing my electric skillet if allowed. However, otherwise my children could cook or eat it at home and then keep it warm in my car oven. I am hoping I do not end up in the hospital. Diana -

ARCHIVED Coming To Terms
1desperateladysaved replied to Chase From ATL's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
. You have already come through alot. Perhaps cutting gluten will bring relief to you. Probably the cheapest test is going gluten free, but then blood tests could false negative on you. Hopefully, you can find a doctor to help. I want for you to be able to get back to work and soon. It is hard to feel not depressed and worthwhile without work. PLease... -
ARCHIVED Miracle Cat: A Happy Ending!
1desperateladysaved replied to 1desperateladysaved's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
I think she is planning to market her Diet plan. It will be the next weight watchers, no doubt. She decided to repent (I guess) from her former business of selling chocolate. She is quite the enterprising cat. She is said to have noticed that her chocolate factory customers were quite fat and decided to capitalize on it! I still wish I knew what ever... -
ARCHIVED Miracle Cat: A Happy Ending!
1desperateladysaved posted a topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
You might remember about Novemeber 20 I posted that our scared, inside, cat disappeared. We searched the house and yard in the day and after dark. I called out the door for days. No cat. After a couple of weeks, we faced the reality: She was dead, or we were expeciting a miracle anyway. Keep in mind we had around zero weather and snowstorms shortly... -
ARCHIVED I Look Pregnant!
1desperateladysaved replied to patti-ann's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Greetings Patt-iAnn, When I went to the doctor with my genetic test in hand my doctor said that I looked 5 months pregnant. Indeed I did. I had also been asked several times when my baby was due, when I was not pregnant. Now, I have a reasonable answer to that; I am just bloated by celiac. I am 6 months grain free and am starting to deflate. I... -
ARCHIVED Dental Health And Celiac
1desperateladysaved replied to ChrisRR's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
The enamel disappeared off my teeth when I was in High School. I have been lectured ever since about how to care for my teeth. I went home many times and did it all only to get the lectures all over the next time. THERE had to be something else I kept thinking. About 6 months ago I got the Celiac diagnosed. I finally went back to the dentist having stayed...- 26 replies

Had Spices On Fish. Not Sure If Safe....
1desperateladysaved commented on rachelb86's blog entry in rachelb86's Blog
You might try asking for the ingredients. My wonder if it might have soy sauce, or worcesture sauce which has gluten usually, I believe.- 4 comments

ARCHIVED Peanut Allergy & Vaccines
1desperateladysaved replied to RiceGuy's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
You can find at the website of the Center for disease control the list of ingredients in vaccines. I think anyone should read it carefully before getting the vaccination. One should be especially careful if they are sensitive to anything. -

ARCHIVED "Super Sensitive" Celiacs.....
1desperateladysaved replied to jerseyangel's topic in Super Sensitive People
When I first began the forum we thought I might have got ideas from the Super=sensitives and "copied them". Now I believe that I found my reactions, because you helped to define them. I was super sensitive all along and knowing it could happen didn't change that. My symptoms 6 months later are more undeniable than ever. I keep marveling that I really... -
ARCHIVED Long Flight With Celiac Kiddo - Tips?
1desperateladysaved replied to kb27's topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
The airlines told me you can take ice packs when they are frozen. They will toss it if they have melted into liquid. I brought canned meats on my trip. You may need to select ones with a top that does not need a can opener. I learned to let them see my cans right away. If you tell them "special diet" they pretty much have to make allowance for you... -

ARCHIVED Celiac? Help!
1desperateladysaved replied to Don't Blink's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Hi Don't Blink, I am sorry you have been suffering like this. I hope you will find a definitive answer to your health problems. I would tell your doctor everything above. I would also ask them to do a complete Celiac profile. Caution do find the whole list on the forum. I will try if I remember. The tests really should be done before you go gluten... -
ARCHIVED Does This Sound Like Celiac Symptoms Please Help!
1desperateladysaved replied to Liquidceliac's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Greetings LiquidCeliac, I think it would help to have protein with each meal along with a little fat like coconut, olive oil, or butter. You can take the dairy out of butter (ghee) if it is needed. I think that would help your body work more study throughout the day. I use a diet like that (and that is why I suggest it) and it does well for me. I would... -
ARCHIVED Update To My Story
1desperateladysaved replied to maggiesimpson's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Thanks for the update. I hope you get your situation understood and helped. I am thinking of seeing some kind of Celiac Expert, but it would have to be someone with a natural bend. My chiropractor has really helped me with supplements and testing. That is Ann Zilka DC. She is located in Richfield, Mn. A doctor in Mankato has helped my son. He is... -
Hmm I wonder if you are expericing feeling worse before feeling better. Suppliments do this to me, if they give any reaction at all. Are you saying you are getting better without suppliments? Great! You don't have any clothes? I just found a dress that I tossed in the bottom of the closet as too tight last summer. It fits charmingly now&...
