  1. I have had adrenal fatigue and control it using supplements. I have leaky gut and am using a rotational diet. I am suspecting my hypoglycemia is caused by malabsorption. Diana
  2. I am happy for you. I ran out of Ferritin supplements and I feel it. Hopefully my levels will be headed up again soon. I think I have 30 years of damage? How about you?
  3. Best of health to you. A car oven is wonderful when one is on the go. I can cook porkchop, hamburger, or likewise with veges in mine! Diana
  4. Hi Jenn, If you post this in Pre diagnosis on the forum post, I think you will get more replies. I hope you get your life back too. It is sad to look pregnant--atleast when you are not. I have been asked when the baby is due. When you read, you will discover what to do. I am sorry you have suffered like this. I hope you will get a definative...
  5. I favor grain/grass fed for texture and flavor.
  6. Sorry, you have suffered. I know I could not eat gluten again, but my MD did use my genetic test along with my observations after beginning the gluten free diet. She also used her own powers of observation eyeing my "five months pregnant" looking belly. I think for you the changes you saw are quite a bit of proof. Other proof I use for myself are...
  7. I adopted a son who was 8 and brought him home 2 years ago. So, far as I know he does not have celiac, but I think it is still applicable, since he had his small intestine damaged by giardia. Once home, I shunned all sweets for him, watched his protein to carb balance, and fed him natural foods. When I first took him to the dentist they asked me to see...
  8. Thanks, she is well. She has gained 2 of the 5 lbs she lost back. She is acting almost as independent as usual, but strangly allows one of my daughters to hold her occassionally. Maybe she heard we were thinking about a ragdoll cat. She wouldn't even let me pick her up to get her to the feeding station! That is normal for her.
  9. It is not kind to stand by and watch (or cheer them on) while a person runs down a road that ends with a sudden cliff. Right? It is a good thing to cheer them on down a road which leads to some advantage. Like the good health road.
  10. Great! Keep up the good work. From another Zombie with a tired of hearing about it family. I am not tired of hearing about it! Diana
  11. I am hearing so many that are struggling with intolerances and having extreme difficulty. They seem to need to avoid everything in their diet. I am here to ask to hear from someone who has been there done that. We need to know how you did it. Sometimes I am feeling so well lately, I am wondering if I have done it, but I want someone gluten free...
  12. I recall having problems making it up the stairs at seemingly random times. I also had total lack of energy. I was deficient in many nutrients. Carefully selected supplements, recommended by my chiropractor helped me with those problems. I think that celiac was a main root of my malabsorption and poor health. I hope you will find some answers and fast...
  13. We have chickens and feed them some wheat. It is an inexpensive and easy to obtain grain with a high protein content. I have nothing to do with feeding the chickens and they also eat hay and free range stuff. I am hoping to find an appropriate feed without wheat, but surprisingly it really does not seem to be a problem for me. I am so thankful for that...
  14. I would try to record what I ate for both. I would decide what could be suspicious and what I feel totally safe with. Sometimes you can find it in the ingredients, or can compare it to other times. Sometimes you never figure it out. I try to decide on the most questionable item and when I eat it again (If I do) beware. Sometimes I discover the ingredient...
  15. . "My specific question is this: Do you experience a complete absence of energy when contaminated? We figure she's not getting any nutrients from food, and possibly not absorbing her thyroid medication. She used to take adderall, but has recently found it's next to impossible to find adderall that she knows is gluten free. She's really having a tough time...
  16. I am finding it hard others find it hard to support people that have a different approach to health care. . Should we only talk about things with people who have the same provider as us? Can we trust the other person with decisions about their own health provider, or to seek out information on their treatments or should one always persuade them...
  17. I am on 3000 IU and was measured as borderline. My bottle says 1000 IU per day. I was given more since my absorption is poor. Diana
  18. I like dresses. They look pretty. Yes, I do garden, clean, and play badmitten in them. I even have ridden my bike, but it is kindof scary. I wear denim dresses or jumpers often, because it is super tough. Summer or winter I wear elastic band pants or Capris with them. I shall never win a fashion contest, but I am covered and comfortable. I hope you...
  19. Make sure you haven't added something to your diet that has agravated gluten or other intolerances. My tummy bloat was constant, next swung form high to low, and currently is debloating. In the meanwhile I have been grain free for 7 months, began digestive enzymes, and vitamin B recently. I hope you will get it straightened out. I like babies, but...
  20. My life was saved by supplements, before I knew to go gluten free. Special tests determined exactly which nutrients were needed for me. Interestingly enough, magnesium, potassium, vitamin B, were among them. They were doctor recommended supplements and a high quality product designed for max absorption. By life saved I mean: My orthostatic blood...
  21. I have problems with perfume, cigarette smell, and mold. I get a painful feeling in my neck glands, sometimes dizzy and abdominal bloating.. This began about the same time as I began to notice celiac symptoms many years ago. Back then my lungs would hurt too when exposed to the noted smells. Diana
  22. I am so happy you found a root to your health problems! I had mono when I was 19 years old. After that I suffered from extreme fatigue, bloating, and sensitivities to chemicals. I tried various methods to overcome the struggle. These included diet restrictions, excercise, doctor tests. I tried to cut out gluten once, but I substituted it with rice...
  23. I sure hope you are on to something! Sorry, it is being so hard to determine with all of the frustrations. I would encourage you to just keep doing your best for your daughter. I fully believe there is a root cause to every ailment. Find it, fix it, and the symptoms will go away. Diana
  24. Are you sure about your intolerances? I am low level intolerant by Elisa test to 49/60 things I am eating. I still can eat each of them and am doing really well on a rotational diet. Make sure nothing you are getting is cross contaminated with gluten. It is so confusing at first to know what exactly is going on. From my test I also learned 11 foods that...
