ARCHIVED Changes Or Improvements You Noticed............
1desperateladysaved replied to Gemme's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
4-5 months gluten free. I just realized that I went all through August without aching feet. That hasn't happened for the last 5 years until this one. I also suffered from plantar fasheitis, but haven't had that this summer. I did have some when I went grain free. -
ARCHIVED How To Pronounce Celiac
1desperateladysaved replied to 1desperateladysaved's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Thanks! I think I've got it! -
I have been classic gluten free for 6 months and grain free about 4. I am embarrassed to admit, I can't say Celiac, or can I? Nearly all of my learning about it has come from reading, so I don't hear the word enough to pronounce it. Anyone else out there in my boat, and can someone spell it using phonics?

Jun 20, 2012 It was to be my 5 year outing. That time when Mom goes to do her own thing. I was finally going to find some celiacs with live faces to share stories with. :) I figured out who would take care of the little ones. I scrambled to make a special homemade pizza which would be done before I left. This was my first pizza in a... -
ARCHIVED Vitamins Not Digesting
1desperateladysaved replied to Newbee's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I have been puzzling over the same issue. I have been opening capsules and chewing tablets. One could also put tablets through a blender to crush them. I asked of my health pros and they said that I either had too short of transit time, or not enough hydrochloric acid. One thing if you ever try to take hydrochooric acid do not grind them! -

My family and I have gotten into "Seasnax lately." You would maybe never believe we are still American. These are Seaweed, Olive oil, and sea salt. They are dried vegetables. One can also make kale chips with simalar ingredients. My daughters learned to eat them over cooked rice in Korea and each that went, brought some home. They are in the natural... -
ARCHIVED The "holidays Are Coming"
1desperateladysaved replied to 1desperateladysaved's topic in Super Sensitive People
Yeah, quite possibly I do have allergies. I am working on finding out. I don't know if my reactions are bad or could get bad. Not being at the same table might be warranted. It isn't just a personal preference thing, though. -
I took 1 B Complex vitamin for about 5 days. I felt great. I ran out, I took another brand. I felt nauseated and headache for about a waeek. I think it might have wheat or corn in it, but I can't find it on the label. I need to find out what the first Brand of B vitamins was and get back to edit this.

It is strange for me to be asking this: I try to esteem each day alike. However, my extended family is very in to traditional holiday traditions. At first I thought I will just have Thanksgiving here and that will solve my problem. I could invite them all here. I have ample room to cook the needed food. However, My children think nobody could...

ARCHIVED Having gluten-free Food Brought Over Postpartum
1desperateladysaved replied to Sweetfudge's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
What if you were to have people come to cook with your ingredients in your kitchen? I know all of those feelings your having. Now, I have children that can cook for me in a pinch. That has worked the best of anything since my first daughter was about 6 years old. I would lay on the counter and tell her how to do it. A couch in the kitchen would have... -

Four months gluten/grain free. Here is where I am at: Sometimes I feel clear minded, good humored, and have good endurance. Desiring testing for nutrients and allergies. Some of my family is starting to realize I am changing. It is hard to deny the difference in belly size as it swells and shrinks. My eight year old can see it! I am experiencing...

Yeah, aren't hotdogs convenient? I just wanted to let you know that I thought I reacted to hotdogs lately. Nothing in the ingredient list, or the nice e-mail I got from the company seemed suspicious. At any rate they were not Applegate hotdogs. But I keep thinking I am reacting to this or that; I don't really know. One thing is clear my body is working... -

In my second year of college (at 19 That would be 1982)., I fell ill with mono-nucleosis. I slept for up to 20 hours a day and was still tired. A month or so later, my blood tested normal, so I returned to college in an attempt to catch up and finish the quarter. Sleep still did not refresh me. I dragged myself to class. Sometimes I could not cross the...
