ARCHIVED Week 2
1desperateladysaved replied to tctwhite's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
If your energy picks up that is a very good thing! I also think it is a good thing when one feels absolutely worse. I say, any reaction is a good reaction. I sure hope yours stays to the good. Diana -
I shook everyday of my life for as long as I could remember. I began taking magnesium. Three or four days later the shakes went away. I always thought I was shy/anxious, but magnesium took that feeling away! I began other nutrients at the same time, but I think I narrowed it down to the magnesium did it!

ARCHIVED Wedding Coming Up.
1desperateladysaved replied to Juliebove's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Just now I am afraid that any of my attempts to eat others' food have been disastrous. If I didn't go there hungry, I wouldn't be tempted. I do think this is poor social behavior, but I don't see that I have any choice. -

1desperateladysaved replied to scottyg354's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
You might want to study out any other nutrients you need. If you are not absorbing D well, what about B? Many of us are low in magnesium, iron, and B vitamins. I am planning to do a blood test for nutrients. Spectra -Cell is one test that measures for nutrients. DT -

ARCHIVED Breast feeding boosts baby's immunity, prevents celiac disease - Indian Express
1desperateladysaved replied to Scott Adams's topic in Publications & Publicity
I sent this to my children. For once they get some positive information from me. They were mostly only breast fed for 1 year. I recall a doctor saying to me that they do not often see babies who are breastfed and sick. Mine had some ear infections. Anyway I have been wondering if it could have related to my Celiac. Once I had a sunflower seed coming... -

ARCHIVED Parchment Paper
1desperateladysaved replied to eatmeat4good's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Once upon a time I worked in a bakery. The health department allowed the paper to be reused many times. I do reuse my paper. I dump off any crumbs and fold to store it. At the bakery we just had a whole big stack of baking sheets with the paper on it. I toss mine when it doesn't look clean anymore. Since, I can't store it with the pan, I have trouble... -

ARCHIVED I Made An Interesting Discovery Today!
1desperateladysaved replied to justlisa's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I think it is our responsibility to inform family. However, they may not believe us. So, please if you don't talk with your extended family let them know. I sent e-mails to some and papers to others. They might be suffering too. They may have no reason to check for Celiac. -
Well, this is the first post which I copied from the forum. I think it shows what continous small amounts of cross contamination can do. I think it shows me that diligence is necessary. One must either cook it themself, or you do have to be informing others with some degree of force. My current plan is not to let anyone cook for me outside of my home...

I went to the store today, because my household of 8 had what seemed to be 1 tsp of salt left. I looked at the salts in the natural foods. My usual brand was 4 times as expensive as Hain. In large letters I read Sea Salt. I went home with the Hain Salt. For some reason after I got home I checked out the label. Yikes, there is an anticaking ingredient...

ARCHIVED Celiac? Please Read And Help Me
1desperateladysaved replied to Daisyaday's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I hope that you can find out how to help your daughter. Diet is a very good place to look, I think. Have you tried a rotational diet for the allergies? You eat one family of foods one day and another the next, so as not to repeat foods for 4 days. I am sure you can find instructions online. I have experienced foot pain. Mine was plantar fas$#... -
I wonder how long you have been doing this as I jumped in right here.

I have been grain free for 3 months and gluten free about 5. I am experiencing what seems to be reactions to being near gluten flour, barley grass, airborne mini donuts... I get frequent rashes. I keep hearing that people are more careful when they first begin. Do people keep have reactions at the same level as they continue healing? Is more caution...

1desperateladysaved replied to maggiesimpson's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I am supposed to eat poached eggs, slightly runny everyday for breakfast. My IGA tests were negative, I think. Anyway, my chiro says it okay and I can get my eggs from the chicken house or a farmer nearby. Enjoy your eggs!
