  1. Cooties, thank you for clarifying your opinion on this Colleen
  2. Cooties, I'm wondering why you said "Interpreting the results are subjective" Is it because of a possible Iga deficiency? Or do you have other reasons in mind? Colleen
  3. Karen has started a new Topic called Cookie Recipes found here https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/105434-cookie-recipes/ Please post replies and recipes on that thread. Thanks All Colleen
  4. WinterSong. I have merged you Topic with this one to avoid having more than one thread going. Would you care to share your recipes?
  5. Hey, you should post a link to this thread also so we don't have to merge later if both threads take off. Colleen
  6. Thanks Karen

  10. Hi Mamaof3 and Welcome to the Forum. Yes, it can be very overwhelming at first. Start by reading the Newbie101 thread under the Coping Section. Things will get easier as time passes, I promise. Ask any questions you need to, we will help in any way we can. Hang in there, Colleen
  11. Hi there and Welcome to the Forum I really don't see anything celiac/NGCI related. however you may have issues in your hands from carpel tunnel. Also some people are intolerant to lactose whether they have gut issues or not. Sorry I don't have the magic answer for you. As you know we are not Doctors here. We all here have problems related to gluten...
  12. Hey Wendy, I had that happen when I started a new med. Have you started any new meds or supplements? Colleen
  13. HIya eers, Could be from tension, allergies, food, just really hard to know. I usually pop a couple of Excedrin Migraines, but Tylenol may work too. Sometimes caffeine will help a headache because it constricts the blood vessels. But caffeine and chocolate can also be triggers for migraines. I also use an ice pack when laying down. just wrap it in...
  14. Hi Spud. There are very many people on this site who are either celiac or NCGI who have symptoms of depression, anxiety, etc. have had their issues get significantly better or resolve completely. If you look at my signature line you will see Bi-Polar, Depression listed there. Aside from that I suffered with many more satellite conditions like OCD, GAD...
  15. Hey Bells, When I started my gluten free life I did not even know about this site. I found it about 2 months later. I started out by Juicing every day because at that point I was afraid to eat ANYTHING, I had been in such pain for so long. Then I started on only fresh whole foods. I still didn't know how to read labels and the such, things I needed to...
  16. Here's my take on it. People who do not have Celiac/NCGI just don't know the ins and outs of the Disease. I liken it to someone who has a rare disease that I haven't had any experience with. It's not that I'm ignorant, I am just ignorant about that particular disease. Now when you explain it fully to friends or family members and they still don't get...
  17. Silly Yaks is a term of endearment around here Welcome to the Club !! Colleen
  18. Blame it on Brain Fog. All the rest of us do Colleen
  19. Ummmm Laura? You forgot to ask for addresses Colleen
  20. The article referred to here was recently posted by a member and discussed. https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/105273-gluten-intolerance-linked-to-gmos/ I am so glad that it has been refuted to some extent. We need accurate information to make informed decisions about our food choices. Colleen
  21. I know Barty. We have filled in the tunnel numerous times but he keeps making it again and I don't have the heart to poison him or something. I guess we are just resigned to having him around. It is chipmonk heaven in this community. They are everywhere. A directive came down to not use corn in the feeders anymore to try to limit the number but I havent...
  22. Barty. That made me laugh. If he does chew the wires, the Condo Association has to pay for it. It's an outside wall and he get in from a tunnel at the window well. We hear him in a portion of that wall. The dogs go crazy when they see them. Malibu, Thank You for that information. He's only 7 pounds and very fit. I am very concerned that it might...
  23. I am so done with food ! My left overs have left overs and more left overs in the freezer. I will finish off the apple pie tonight then explode. I think I will do a food strike for awhile. Everybody fends for themselves. I'm going to bed as soon as I finish the pie. Nite Nite. Colleen
  24. Yea, I'm definitely going to start the supplement and probably schedule him for the Vet after the holidays. Thanks, Colleen
  25. OMG Me too. I could not survive without my Pets. Aside from the two incredibly spoiled lap dogs, we have a moody cat who loves to roll in catnip, two wonderfully chirpy Parakeets and an aquarium full of colorful fish and a Snail I don't even know how he got there !! and a chipmunk who lives in the wall in the Winter and yes, we feed him. Colleen
