  4. Ensure and Boost are gluten-free (except the chocolate malt ones) and come in "Plus" versions that are about 350 cals each. They also come in "high protein" versions. If you want a protein powder, Genisoy makes choco, vanilla, and strawberry flavors. - Lauren

  10. Jenny, They DID make dark chocolate M&Ms awhile ago, just for a short time as some type of Star Wars promotion. Of course, I couldn't find them anywhere, every place was sold out, so I never got to try them. I heard they were really good though. I hope we both can find some this time!! - Lauren

Another thought - if this is just for yourself and you only need 1 copy of your cookbook, couldn't you purchase and decorate a regular, old spiral notebook, type up and print out your recipes, punch holes in the papers, and put them in the binder? You could even use those page dividers to separate "appetizers", "dinners", "desserts", etc. This would be functional...

  16. The Cinnamon Oblivion gluten-free version is basically vanilla icecream with caramel sauce and cinnamon pecans. Actually, if you like those things, it's awesome. Perhaps the Thunder is just too rich for you? Are you sure it is a gluten reaction? Are you sensitive to nuts? - Lauren

  18. I work at Outback and I have to say that the Thunder (and the Sydney's Sundae) are the MOST trustworthy and tasty options on the menu, in my opinion! (sidenote - I am a vegetarian however!) I think that there is the least amount of risk for cross contamination, just by the way the kitchen is set up (at least at my OB) with these desserts. Eating out...

  22. Ughh, I wish that was the case for me. Instead, all my problems started AFTER going gluten-free. It has nothing to do with the gluten-free diet, it's just that when you tell someone with a type A personality like me that she can't eat something, I can get a little psychotic about it (anxiety, paranoia, etc. about making sure I follow the diet to a tee......
  23. Sandi, I too have the Zoj bread machine and I don't know what I did without it. I'm still experimenting with "from scratch" breads, but nothing has come close to my favorite mix - Breads by Anna. It's just so easy and SOOO good. I've also made Gluten-Free Pantry's and Bob's Red Mill sandwich breads for bread machines in my Zoj. They were both very tasty...

They turned out quite tasty, but I think I may have beat the ingredients at too high of a speed, as they came out rather "fluffy."
