Other causes of blunted villi include tropical sprue, malnutrition, intolerance to cow's milk, soy protein intolerance, and infectious gastroenteritis.
Ooop, Bubba's Mom has a more in depth link.

Hi Laura and good work!
You might also want to check with the Celiac Sprue Association, the Celiac Disease Foundation and the Gluten Intolerant Group. They might have support agencies in place that you can work with in your area.

Thank you all for your input! This MOM insisted that the cat follow her owner. Said cat left today. Holding ground on NO never felt so good!

Hello. Does anybody know if Marcus theater popcorn is gluten free? I called the theater and the lady said "I have no idea. Its just popcorn". So, then I decided to come to this trusty forum
Thanks!!
I'm not familiar with that particular name, but the popcorn probably is not the concern. The oil it's cooked in could be a minor concern.
But I must say, I have never gotten ill from popcorn in any theater I attended. Sometimes I go just for the popcorn.

Is Jif Natural creamy pb gluten free? The jif website has a confusing gluten statement. Do you all eat Jif pbs, especially Jif Natural?
Every morning on my Van waffles from the toaster. I find Jiff Natuarl too greasy.
Sorry for the typo's. Having a thunderstorm and dog wants to hide under my laptop.

They hype it up so much on TV that I almost get tired of watching even before it's begun. But having a couple friends over for a pot luck to watch the opening ceremonies. Wonder if they can top China?
I love the stadium jumping and Dressage stuff.

I just learned how important it is to detoxify my liver while I'm trying to detox from gluten, and how new sensitivities can crop up when my liver becomes overloaded with a food. It seems obvious but I hadn't thought of it. Detoxifying needs to happen in our livers as well as our intestines. It's not all about leaky gut when it comes to sensitivities.
Does anyone have good suggestions on the best way to cleanse the liver, on an ongoing basis. I know some people take malic acid caps. I'm starting with adding apple juice to my daily diet.
Most people here have a compromised digestive system. It's not recommended to do a cleanse. Anyways your body naturally detoxes it's self daily. Drink lots of water.

Thanks! I assumed juice wouldn't be a gluten problem, but I wondered about cross contamination factors in the manufacturing facility.
It's always good to ask. But in this case, I don't think the juice would be manufactured with gluteny products.

Does anyone know of a good reasonably priced gluten free apple juice. I like the clear, filtered kind, and the ones made from fresh apples, not concentrate. Martinelli's is a great example, but pricey. Any more reasonable brands out there that taste great?
I would assume that all apple juice is gluten free. But always check the label.

Hi Crissy, good to see you back (I think
)
Some veggies are known to cause gas. Cabbage for one comes to mind. Maybe going for a bland diet...banana's, apple sauce, rice to get your tummy settled.
Then try to bring one veggie in at a time

Happy Birthday! You're catching up to me!
You didn't miss much. But....then I don't remember too much, either.

am I'm up at 5:30 with the rooster.
9:30 EST Hah! I'm up before you're up, without a Rooster, but have noisy husband.

My question is about processing...the facility/equipment....is it used for gluten products? I read about CC, in here, so often that I'm kind of surprised it hasn't come up in this thread...
Contact the company and get first hand information.

Just did research and discovered that Dasani plant bottles are made of sugar cane plant and "molasses" what all the ingredients are in the molasses idk. I do know that I am just gonna stay away from it because I do not trust it given the reaction I always have to it.
Not sure I understand Razz. Are you talking about Dasani Water bottles?

Their frosty's are gluten free too
Guilty pleasure of mine!
Thanks!
Now I have to go get one!!!

Add a little more crisco or butter to the mix and add LOTS of cheese and garlic salt, or herbs....less gritty.

Whaaaaaaatttt, there's gluten-free Bisquick???
It's a bit different, but it works. Think fried chicken!

I have made some really great cheesy-garlic biscuits from the back of the box. I was very pleased, as was my non-gluten-free family.

Tell the allergy so they don't open the potatoe with thier gluteny fingers.
A helpful, local manager told me that they might slice some gluten items and then slice the potato.

Has anyone eaten at Wendy's lately? If so what did you get? I'm hitting the road with my Dad tomorrow for the day and we'll need to grab a quick lunch. I'm also overly cautious with eating out, I hate to be sick. But my Dad will need to eat and he refuses to eat in front of me. It doesn't bother me lol but he can't stand to do that. Hope someone has some ideas!
I usually get a baked potato (unsliced) with butter and sour cream and a small side of chilli with cheese, sour cream and hot sauce. Several salads are gluten free...see below.

I understand...my freezer is filled with bread crumbs and croutons. And I'm good with that.

I have only even gluten free for a week but I have noticed my appetite has really reduced, is this normal?
It might be for you. I don't think there is consistent evidence either way.
Make sure you are eating well, with balanced foods. And a good supplement and probiotics will help you.

Hey troy. So glad you can enjoy your morning caffeine, with pleasure.
Many times any food or drink will be a bother, gluten free or otherwise, until healing can take place.
Simple joys!
