Celiac, missed dx.........it took most of us many, many years to arrive on the proper dx to identify what we are dealing with.
Please check this site and explore, read the posts and perhaps you can come upon the answers that you need.
It is a complex disease, but it can be controlled with the proper diet.
Please ask away.

I haev a three year old peeing onthe floor.. if I could not laugh, I wouold prbly have killed him by now LOL
Vincent:
My girls are 22 and 25 (start saving your money now). Peeing on the floor is a non event. He really peed on the floor?.....oh. Girls don't do that. Mine brought me diapers to change them, yeah. Thought it was time to use the potty. My youngest brought me the new diaper, took off her old, and layed on the floor and propped her legs up in the air....."hello Mom, issues here."

shute, you guys frustrate me..........
I used to have a quick sense humor, now it's about as dead as a doornail. What in the heck are you all doing that I'm not. I feel like I'm pissing up a waterfall. (a male reference, not female, perhaps that's my problem)
I want to have fun any carry on..........so what makes it good for you all.

THAT WAS THE BEST SEGMENT ON CELIAC I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!
I'm so glad they didn't push the biopsy or that all symptoms are GI. AWESOME!!!
Chels:
Good to see you again. I agree. To get and article on National News coverage in prime time, is about as good as it gets.
This is major, no complaints from me!!!
-
Good gosh you guy are fast.
It was the best coverage on national news that we have ever gotten. I CERTAINLY am no fan of Katie Couric, but someone put it out there and bless their hearts.

I can't dx your problem, but I can tell you about me.
Several weeks before I finally had to go to the doctor with constant D, I had sharp needle pains in my abdomen and a chronic pain in my lower back, and I was feeling some heat on my lower back as well.
I concluded that it was because of the inflammation in my small intestines, due to Celiac. It took several months for the back ache to subside, but yes, it did and hasn't been back since. ( I had lower back aches for many years).
Another thing you might want to look in to, check and see if your anti-bio is gluten free.
I hope that this was helpful.

With the terrible chemical explosion in Raleigh, I hope that our friends here from Raleigh are alright and not evacuated from their homes.
I hope they are able to check in?

Hey Emily:
taffymorgan began this thread, but much interest for me.
I take additional folic acid, but my multi-V I used to take is no longer available here. Can you suggest a good gluten-free multi-V.?
Thanks, Lisa

I certainly am not as quick witted as all of you, but I sure am enjoying it

Hey Girls:
Just checkin in when I find a computer. Today, we drove from Northern Maine (about 70 miles from the Canadian Boarder) to...........Salisbury, Maryland. And You ask, "Have you lost your frikkin mind?", huh, yeah.
OHMG, I can tell you stories about the Jersy Turnpike
, but, I will be glad to get back home, where life is slow.
Last round of the trip and we are doing to take it easy from now. We will take our time and head home through the eastern shore of Maryland and into Virginia. I have yelled at Jim the whole trip," I want to buy apples", so he said, "you'll get your ******* apples, if I have to go into someones yard and shake the ******* tree myself."
Road trips with your hubby are SOOOOOOOOOOO much fun.
I will check up with the thread when I get home, or at least check in with the last five pages.
Hope everyone is well.
Take, later when we're home and laundry is done.

Road trip, rember. In Northern Maine and how cool. We are in Bethel Maine, in the mountains. It is sooo beautiful.
Be home Friday.
(just a little advise for travelers, don't drive throught New York City, if you celiac in not undercontrol, your nerves along will retrigger EVERYTHING.)
Write later, when I'm home.

Don't know about many, but when I need some I use rice crackers. Not much help, but they will do with some cheese and such.

Have a wonderful trip Ash........Let us know all about it.

Going on a road trip. What adults with celiac disease, would you put in your cooler or food bucket, for an extended road trip? (extended, one week).?
-

Vincent:
Question for you..how do you get these alerts?
I am so glad that you post them, but, where do they come from?

Sharon: Natural flavoring, is a vast term for "I can't tell you what's in it". Be cautious, but it you feel comfortable by the company's response. ...enjoy.

Kristy:
Gosh, I'm not a cannner. But I think that a little lemon juice, will help the apples from turning brown on you.
Shirley, is the best one I know who can help you. Have some fun with your kids.
. She hasn't posted in a while, and I can't remember her post name........but some of the vets will post for you. Hold on and they will kick in soon.
