  1. Don't think that I recall anyone here mentioning that. You can, claim a percentage off you taxes. It is unrealistic to achieve the dollar amount/income required to qualify for a tax deduction and the red tape would be not worth the tax incentive (to me and I believe to most). https://www.celiac.com/categories/Celiac-Di...Deduction-Info/
  2. It really helped me tremendously by taking some B-12 shots and later some sublingual (dissolved under your tongue) B-12. My memory, balance and focus improved quite a bit. If you have not already done so, ask for a metabolic blood test which will show is you have any mineral or vitamin deficiencies. When your numbers are off, it can make you feel really...
  3. Up in the right corner of this page, you will see "Options" - click on that and then click on "Standard". That should work to achieve what you are asking.
  4. Open Original Shared Link This might be helpful.
  5. I'm 5'8" and soon on the decline.
  6. Open Original Shared Link Here is a link to Tennessee Support. There are many moms with young children with Celiac or gluten allergies here. I am sure that they will be here soon.
  7. Paula, One persons prayer is another's good wishes and thoughts. I am sure that all of us wish for you peace of mind for this difficult time for you and your family. Not to worry about this tread
  8. Hey Moe, Welcome to the Board! No, it does not mean that you have consumed gluten. It will take your body some time to heal before it will except food the way it did before you got sick. It took me many months to know what "being glutened" felt like. After several weeks of totally gluten free, you should begin to feel better by the day and...
  9. In that case, why don't you call the principal and ask his thoughts. Perhaps, he will volunteer to cook and then you can insure safe precautions.
  10. Congratulations on your daughters academic success! If it were me....I would send a premade breakfast similar to those being served to the rest of the students. All need be done is to heat it up in a micro. Her breakfast should be simlar to the others. Her presence at the breakfast is the honor, not the meal.

    ARCHIVED Ruby Tuesday

I have tried Ruby Tuesday. The choices are very limited and I would not touch the salad bar. I did find that the manager was very attentive and consulted with the chief (with the use of my Triumph Dining cards). I had a chicken dish. At any local restaurant, I would suggest go during off dining times and sit down and discuss your options with the management...
  12. Plain old Vaseline (or petroleum jelly) works very well and cheap as heck.
  13. I'm sorry, you will have to give up the Rice Crispies. Wheat, Rye, Barley, Malt and some Oat are not to be consummed if you are on a gluten free diet. There are several, equally as good, options to Rice Crispies. So, it's not a loss, just a trade off.
  14. Just a quick note here...glutenous rice is gluten free. It is called that because it sticks together, but free from gluten. Try to stick the the naked diet..meats, fish, veggies, rice, potatoes, fresh fruit. Limit you seasonings to salt and pepper. Eat as naturally as possible. It will help your healing process. Be cautious of shared toasters...
  15. I would recommend that you eliminate dairy for a while. Let your system heal a little bit, then you can add dairy a little at a time to see if it bothers you.
  16. I am sorry that you have had difficulty with your first post. Welcome and please feel free to share your experience.
  17. Maybe....it's one of us
  18. I find most of my dried beans in the grocery store. Some mixed dried beans contain barley, so be careful to read the labels. Organic dried beans?...don't know. I sometimes think that "organic" on the product is just another reason to raise the price.
  19. There is no such thing as a worry free used deep fryer. I suggest a new worry free fryer. Welcome and questions are always welcomed.
  20. What does it say on the ingredients bag. If it only list green and yellow peas, it is gluten free because it contains no gluten ingredients. Rinse it well and enjoy your soup. Some of the dry bean mixes do contain barley as an ingredient, but it is CLEARLY listed.
  21. djsurreal, Welcome to this site. You look like a very normal 19 year old young man. Many of your symptoms sound like it could be Celiac Disease and at the least a food intolerance. I am sure that you are anxious for your blood work. If your blood work is negative, you might try the gluten free diet and see if you feel better. Many here can help...
  22. www.olivegarden.com Ceasar Salad and Garden Salad (without croutons) are gluten free. Herb-Grilled Salmon - prepared with Italian herbs and extra virgin olive oil, seasoned broccoli. Port Filettino - prepared with extra-virgin olive oil and rosemany, seasoned broccoli. Tuscan T-bone - prepared with Italian herbs, seasoned broccoli. (do not...
  23. My thoughts are with you and your family Paula.
  24. Happy Thanksgiving and safe travel for all.
  25. It would totally depend on the ingredience of the injection fluids. Wheat, Rye, Barley, Malt would be what you should look for. Things that you would not assume do contain wheat such as soy sauce. When frying, the oil must be totally dedictated to the Turkey and it must not be stuffed. You will need fresh oil with nothing fried in it that would have...
