    ARCHIVED Corn Syrup

Corn syrup is not a gluten concern, unless you have a corn concern. Hope this is the answer that you wanted.

  6. Yup..Scott must have a different format than us. ( and talking like I know computer stuff and all )
  7. Humm.. My PC has a spell check on my tool bar. (found it Betty). But the site definitely has a spell check icon, as I am viewing it as I speak. I know nothing about computer software, but perhaps your format may be different from ours, as the owner/administrator. This is not something that I will loose sleep about. Anyone else see a "ABC spell check...
  8. Oh so jealous! But, what a wonderful experience.
  9. Sound like you have a great doctor. I like his recommendations. In regards to your question, I don't think there is a stock answer to the healing process. Everyone is different. In my case, it took about two months to really see a significant change. I would suggest keeping a food journal. It really helps to identify foods that can contribute to...
  10. Scott, When I post a reply (as in now) there an "ABC-with a check sign", icon on the upper right of this page. You can't see it unless you are typing a reply. When you click on it, it will ask you to down load. I have not done that.
  11. Interesting Nancy. I know another Celiac person whose first and main symptom is a migraine that can last for days.
  12. Sound like you need some antibiotics. Go see a doc. I don't know whether is is celiac related though.
  13. Welcom to the Board Lins! This diet is very confusing in the beginning. Feel free to ask away. Modified food starch (in the US) is general corn derived, unless it is listed as Modified Food Starch (wheat). Oat are not recommended because of the potential of cross contamination in the processing. There are many cereals that are available (I don...
  14. Hugs to you Susie!!!
  15. Anyone have documentation that there is gluten in cigaretts? Just curious.
  16. There is a list of safe products...click on the site index and scroll down.
  17. You will feel some much better in the morning. I had to ask my husband about 20 times what the doctor said. After a good night sleep and knowing that the proceedure is over....every thing is uphill from now. Consider this a new beginning toward health and wellness.
  18. Has anyone sucessfully used the spell check on this site (on the upper right of this page). Mine appears to be inactive. Any thoughts?
  19. Don't jump to any conclusions and go easy on the internet searches, they can scare the crap out of you. I also had the hiatal Hernia, scalloping folds and gastritis. Spend your time here learning as the scalloping of the duodenum indicated that you can set up camp here. I'll step aside for others. Stay cool
  20. My turn, When my first was born, she became my "sweet baby goose", with number 2, I had geese. Hubby started to call me Momma Goose. There ya have it.
  21. True wine does not have thickening. Any meat that contains wheat of any kind is required by law to list it as an ingredient. Swanson's Beef and Chicken broth is gluten free as well as HerbOx bouion. Certain broths do contain gluten and you must read the label carefully. And regarding the Pepto, it may ease some stomach cramping, but as Sunny said...
  22. I think that your posts are just awsome, and I think it give all of us a added perspective to the people behind the words and not just an impersonal computer screen. We are real, tangible people who share a common interest. Thank you all for taking the time to post. It's all very cool. I think many have enjoyed this.
  23. Just stay away from malt vineager or flavored vineagers (not all are, but causious advise).
  24. I am not sure if you have been reading here, but I wanted to add some suggestions. Make sure you have a new chopping board, new wooden spoons, toaster and throw away you scratched teflon pans. These are places where gluten can hide. You also must check your make-up, lotions, shampoos, lip sticks, in other words, anythings that can find it's was into...
