ARCHIVED 3 Random Gluten Questions
4getgluten replied to Corkdarrr's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
From what I remember, Yoplait is one of those products that will clearly list wheat, rye, barley, even oats, on the ingredients if it contains any of those. When I eat Yoplait, I always check the ingredients. So far, I've never had a problem. As for feeling better - everyone is different. I started to feel better after a few days but didn't feel 10... -
ARCHIVED For Those Who Are gluten-free But Tested Negative....
4getgluten replied to jayhawkmom's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I stick with it because I feel so good! I've had stomach problems all my life then in late 2004 it got really bad. I was afraid that I would have to quit my job. I never want to feel like that again. My Dr. tested me for everything but Celiac. He told me I was healthy, and I had nothing to worry about. I tried a gluten-free diet on my own, and within... -

After going gluten-free, I tried to go back to my normal diet so my doctor could test me for Celiac. I couldn't do it. I tried for about 4 days and then gave up. I didn't want to feel that sick again. I decided that a positive dietary response was enough for me. I'm definitely gluten intolerant. I'll never know for sure if I have Celiac, and that's...

ARCHIVED Weird Symptoms After 4 Months Gluten Free...
4getgluten replied to mesmerize's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
For me, when I first went gluten-free, I started to feel really good, then bad again.... really good, then bad again. Here's what I discovered about myself. As I took gluten out of my diet, I became much more sensitive to it. So, at the beginning, I thought I was 100% gluten-free because I felt so darn good. But turns out I wasn't. When I would start... -

4getgluten replied to jacklyn1981's topic in Related Issues & Disorders

ARCHIVED Newly Gluten Free And Frusterated
4getgluten replied to Anna Isabel's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Anna - I think it's normal to have ups and downs. For me it really was two steps forward, one step back. It took me a full year before I felt good 99% of the time. Try keeping a food journal. Like others have mentioned, you may be reacting to other foods. I found that I had to cut my soy and dairy way back. I can tolerate diary better now, but at first... -

4getgluten replied to jmengert's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I am so bummed! BE is the only make-up I use. Of course I don't check the ingredients every time I buy a new powder or mascara. Thanks so much for the notice. This is a good reminder to never assume that the formula hasn't changed. I'll have to go back to reading those ingredients. -

4getgluten replied to DingoGirl's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
After going gluten-free, I started having dreams about going out to dinner and eating bread from the bread basket... it tasted so good.
