  1. Jules - Try this website. It's a place to start. One disclaimer - I'm not sure how often it is updated. Open Original Shared Link
  2. From what I remember, Yoplait is one of those products that will clearly list wheat, rye, barley, even oats, on the ingredients if it contains any of those. When I eat Yoplait, I always check the ingredients. So far, I've never had a problem. As for feeling better - everyone is different. I started to feel better after a few days but didn't feel 10...
  3. I stick with it because I feel so good! I've had stomach problems all my life then in late 2004 it got really bad. I was afraid that I would have to quit my job. I never want to feel like that again. My Dr. tested me for everything but Celiac. He told me I was healthy, and I had nothing to worry about. I tried a gluten-free diet on my own, and within...
  4. I was just there two nights ago. I had the gluten-free lettuce wraps and the Cantonese shrimp w/ snow peas. It was delish.
  5. I love their soap, and their lotions are great too. Not all of the lotions are gluten-free, so check the ingredients. My favorite is the Honey and Calendula lotion. Open Original Shared Link
  6. After going gluten-free, I tried to go back to my normal diet so my doctor could test me for Celiac. I couldn't do it. I tried for about 4 days and then gave up. I didn't want to feel that sick again. I decided that a positive dietary response was enough for me. I'm definitely gluten intolerant. I'll never know for sure if I have Celiac, and that's...
  7. For me, when I first went gluten-free, I started to feel really good, then bad again.... really good, then bad again. Here's what I discovered about myself. As I took gluten out of my diet, I became much more sensitive to it. So, at the beginning, I thought I was 100% gluten-free because I felt so darn good. But turns out I wasn't. When I would start...
  8. I freeze all my friut - bananas, strawberries, peaches - then blend apple juice with the frozen fruit. It's very easy, and there's no ice to water down the flavor.
  9. I too lost weight AFTER going gluten free. I lost about 12 pounds and have kept if off for a year. I used to be so bloated all the time, and I was slowly outgrowing my clothes. Now, all those old clothes are too big.
  10. Anna - I think it's normal to have ups and downs. For me it really was two steps forward, one step back. It took me a full year before I felt good 99% of the time. Try keeping a food journal. Like others have mentioned, you may be reacting to other foods. I found that I had to cut my soy and dairy way back. I can tolerate diary better now, but at first...
  11. I eat Lay's Classic Potato Chips with no problems. I also eat the Stax chips from time to time. The Stax chips don't make me feel glutened, but they do give me indigestion.
  12. I have to second the Anna's vote. I buy their mixes and make them in my bread machine. It's the best gluten-free bread around.
  13. Welcome to the board! Keep reading and asking questions; you will learn so much here. The biopsy will help give you a firm diagnoses, but if it were me, I’d skip it. Focus on getting well instead. Learn everything you can about the diet. It takes time to master, but you will master it. It's really not that hard. I made lots of mistakes along the way a...
  14. I had pain on my lower right side before I went gluten-free. It used to keep me awake at night. Now, if I accidentally get glutened, the pain comes back. I have to believe it's from the gluten.
  15. Flemings Steak House has a gluten-free menu online: Open Original Shared Link as does the Claim Jumper: Open Original Shared Link
  16. I am so bummed! BE is the only make-up I use. Of course I don't check the ingredients every time I buy a new powder or mascara. Thanks so much for the notice. This is a good reminder to never assume that the formula hasn't changed. I'll have to go back to reading those ingredients.
  17. According to this website, Azithromycin is gluten-free. Open Original Shared Link
  18. Mammabear - you may want to try Anna's bread mixes. Their mixes make great gluten-free bread. I make it all the time in my bread machine. I just checked their website, and they do have a mix that is rice-free. Open Original Shared Link
  19. After going gluten-free, I started having dreams about going out to dinner and eating bread from the bread basket... it tasted so good. Then, in my dream, I would remember that I couldn't eat the bread. It was a horrible feeling. I would wake up in a panic, wondering if it really happened. So far this dream hasn't come true!
  20. I love my husband and the fact that he lets me be myself. I love Los Angeles the day after it rains. I love the beach, and that I only live 6 miles from it. I love to walk and walk and walk. I love all three of my cats. I love my neighbors - I have the best neighbors. I love my family and that we always have fun hanging out together....
  21. Leigh - You sound like so many of us. Unfortunately you may never have a definite answer. It's wonderful that a gluten-free diet is helping you. You'll find a lot of great support here, and a ton of information about the gluten-free diet.
  22. Patti - got my gluten-free Savonnerie shipment today. I've already tried the soap and the lotion. I like it a lot! The lotion is really nice, not greasy at all. I'll definitely order some more. Thanks again for the tip. (like your new picture... what a beautiful cat)
  23. Good to hear. I'm in California, so I should get it this week. Thanks guys!
  24. Patti - I'll let you know! I'm hopeful my shipment arrives this week. I'm going out of town next weekend, and it would be great to take with me.
