    For carbs I eat tree nuts, not too sweet fruits like berries, and non starchy veggies.

    Hi and welcome At this point, I think the noises are most likely part of the healing process. I remember after I went on the diet, I could both hear and feel my digestion for a while. It should begin to get better, but the food diary is still a great idea. I found it a big help.

    Hi and welcome! Yes, I would only use the bread machine for gluten-free breads. I think it would be impossible to clean it thoroughly enough to prevent cross contamination.

    Hi and welcome, RacerRex Doesn't sound so stupid to me--I get irritable, anxious, and I used to get downright hostile. It's better now after 4 years, but the anxiety and irritability are still a problem when glutened. Before I was diagnosed, I was depressed on top of it all, but that has thankfully lifted.

    My fingernails look so much better--like someone upthread said, they look almost artificial! My toe nails, too. I used to have horizontal ridges (almost like a scoop) in both of my thumbnails. Even after going gluten-free, that persisted for a while but now they're completely gone.
