  4. Welcome . I use Bayer Buffered Aspirin or Extra Strength Tylenol .
  5. Omg--yes Shroomie, you were missed!
  6. There's nuthin' like one of Leighsua's group hugs
  7. Bun, I don't quite know what to say. I do understand your feeling of being disingenuous, though. When such a profound, life altering event occurs you are not the same person and it gets tricky communicating as we do on a message board. You (both) are in my thoughts and I hope you know that I'm always here for you.
  8. I'm about to dig into a big salad.
  9. Yeah, I find it sad too. I was on the other side of it years ago when even my doctors didn't know what to do with me. I saw a Kinesiologist, on the advice of my sister, who did muscle testing on me and "identified" several food intolerances. Interestingly, "wheat, oats, barley, and rye" were among those. I followed his advice, which also included eliminating...
  10. She probably tested originally through Enterolab, which can detect a gluten intolerance but can not diagnose Celiac.
  11. Lasagne! I haven't made it in a while and have a craving for it
  12. Nice to know some things never change!
  13. Welcome! I also use Gluten Free Pantry French Bread Mix for pizza crust. My gluten eating husband also likes it:)
  14. Very funny Victor.... I recall talking about it but I don't remember you actually letting me know any details so we could really plan something. Any time a silly has come anywhere near here, I have met up with them. So there:)
  15. Thanks Lo-- the next time you are here let me know. I'd love to meet you
  16. That looks delish! Must try it. I do a very simple "chowder" (all the real cooks avert your eyes) by using chicken breast, Pacific Chicken Broth, Tinkyada Fettuccine broken into noodle-sized pieces, and creamed corn topped with Pecorino Romano. Definitely trying yours though-- it is supposed to cool down here after today:)
  17. What a trip!! Thanks again for dropping down to Joisey to see us Well, the phun never ends here....just got home from Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Mark was having odd "floaters" with flashes of light this afternoon, and was sent to their emergency department this evening from the doctor's office. They feared a detached retina, but it turned...
  18. Somehow, even before I read on, I had a feeling you wouldn't be serving corn tonight Pizza sounds good--was going to do leftovers but I think pizza instead. A white one with lots of cheese and garlic.
  19. If it's getting worse now, after 2 weeks glutened, it may well be a virus. I don't know where you live, but here in NJ, there has been a nasty stomach virus going around. My non-Celiac son came down with it. Hope you feel better soon!
  20. Antibiotics can cause diarrhea and stomach pain as side effects, not having anything to do with gluten. Did you eat the chips and salsa regularly before going on the medication? If you did and were fine with it, it is most likely a side effect. If that was the first time with the chips/salsa, I'd try not eating them and see if you feel better. My...
  21. Hi Ron, I understand. I had an awful time at the beginning--I was so careful and still had reactions where I couldn't pin down the cause. I even sought the help of an allergist and asked him to run food intolerance testing but he refused, saying an elimination was really the best way to figure things out. He told me that the tests can produce a lot of...
  22. Boneless pork chops with garlic, bacon risotto, and fresh Brussels sprouts. Went to Rita's and had chocolate custard for dessert:)
