I had my sonogram last week. They found several nodules and a large cyst. I go for my biopsy on July 26th. It is good to read all of what you guys have said. I am hoping to be coming to the end of this soon! "Tiredofdoctors" so you had your thyroid removed? How are your levels being regulated now? My DR thought they would probably want to remove...

ARCHIVED Anyone With A Hiatal Hernia?
zip2play replied to Lisa's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I had a hiatal hernia operation in July of 2003. They did the stomach wrap that Chrissy described. I am so glad I did this. My gerd was getting horrible. When I exercised, it got to where I could hardly swallow. The only negative side effect I have had is I now cannot throw up. I had a stomach virus for the first time since 07/2003 in January. I heeved... -

Add me to the list of people who have WHEAT issues and Thyroid issues. After a year of testing, they finally found the problem. My numbers have always been in the normal range, although in the low end of normal. They did a sonogram last week, I have several nodules on my thyroid and a fairly good sized cyst. I am scheduled for a needle biopsy on July...

ARCHIVED Who Has Done Weight Watchers?
zip2play replied to penguin's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Well, it is the other stuff that they suggest that makes my bloodsugar a mess. The Points system is based on high fiber items, which tend to be carb type foods. IF I could decide all I needed to live is meat and veggies it would be fine. But I get bored easy. I switched things up and everything, I either got bored or had bloodsugar issues. Monica -
ARCHIVED Who Has Done Weight Watchers?
zip2play replied to penguin's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I have done both the Points and the Core plan. I have severe hypoglycemia, which is why I finally ditched both plans. But, for those that WW's works for, it is a GREAT PLAN. - Is it easy to lose the standard 2-4 lbs per week? I think, depending on how much a person needs to lose, 2 pounds is not difficult to obtain. The first couple weeks you will... -

ARCHIVED My Daughter May Be Allergic To Rice
zip2play replied to AndreaB's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
IN all my reading, too much of anything one thing can cause stomach problems. Maybe cut back on the rice and see if that helps. It is hard, I am sure for a 6 year old. I can't imagine. But, DR's will tell you they won't starve. They will eat, whatever is offered once they get hungry enough. As a MOM, it sure is hard to wait till that point. It isn... -

The last thyroid test I had was on the low side of normal. What specific tests should I ask for? I don't want to mess with an endo. The last time I saw one, I hated the guy and it took me 3 months to get in. He wouldn't listen to me and now I am getting worse. I was going to ask for: TSH test Thyroid hormone test Thyroid antiperoxidase antibody...

I am sorry you guys are having such problems. MEAN PEOPLE SUCK, plain and simple. I have always been heavy and let me tell you, the mean comments are not saved for just the thinner people. zip2play replied to floridanative's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I have a tendancy, the few times I do eat out, to eat at the same place over and over! Boring, but safe! It is a tough thing for people to understand, HECK the majority of US Doctors don't even get it! Monica -
ARCHIVED Cooking With Gluten For Others
zip2play replied to Kaycee's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
The last 3 times I made cake/cupcakes/cookies for functions at schools, I got sick. Raw flour seems to harm me more than anything! Other than that, I tend to not have very obvious or horrible symptoms. From here forward, Hubby makes those kind of necessary things. WIN WIN for me! Monica -

I would have to agree with Chelsea, being hypoglycemic I would have to eat something and if the low bloodsugar had already started, SUGAR would be necessary! But I would strive to find the coarse of least pain later! Monica
