  1. Open Original Shared Link Hopefully their experience and R & D will bring about more products (and maybe better tasting products ).
  2. Why do you want the testing? From your description you are either gluten sensitive or have Celiac. Unless you need the official diagnosis for something at work or whatever, I would not do the challenge for testing. There really is no point and why suffer for 2 months just to learn what you already know?
  3. I talked with the cooks and they showed me the boxes and seasonings they use for their food. Their meats were not safe to eat but their potatoes were fine. Now, once they are on the buffet it's anyone's guess.....this one is set up with a spoon for each item, but the potatoes are in a warmer right next to the meats so...who knows...
  4. That is a different scale then we usually see. I'm not sure which is your number and which is the index number but I'm thinking with your first post, your number is the .14 and the .36, both of which are less then the .9 which would mean your Celiac tests are negative if they only use that information. There are a lot of factors that are not shown here...
  5. I think I need to go to Walmart.....
  6. Making Chicken Fajitas tonight. Finally REAL food!! I had some sausage for lunch that was very good. I can't remember the brand, A______?? I tossed the wrapper already. Question about brats, hotdogs, etc.--are they generally gluten-free or not? I haven't seen any listed as gluten-free and many have caramel color (which is not gluten-free??).
  7. I will look for that, thanks. I travel a lot for work so having something that I can keep food cold in from hotel to hotel, or in the hotel, will be very handy.
  8. Ok--just thought I would check. I don't like waffles that much . Just trying to mix up the breakfast food a bit. I'm in an extended stay place now so I have a full kitchen, but they have a 'free' breakfast. I'll just stick to my apples and peanut butter from there.
  9. If I were to get the staff to wipe down the waffle maker (self-serve breakfast), is that clean enough to use gluten-free waffle mix do you think??? I'm thinking not but maybe others have done that and are ok???
  10. Ok, NOT impressed with the soft-sided Koolatron. It didn't keep anything "kool" at all. The instructions also say to only leave it plugged in for 45 minutes, which I did at first, but then tried it longer to see if it would cool down, nope. I will be returning it. It DID keep my frozen waterbottles mostly frozen overnight in my hotel room though--not...
  11. I'm pretty sure this is gluten-free Open Original Shared Link I use this, it's great! I found an OLD gluten-free list searching this board, but it's from 2008 or something. On that list it shows that this is gluten-free...but it could have changed. ingredients : Castor (Ricinus Communis) Seed OilRicinus Communis , Corn OilZea Mays , Ozokerite , Petrolatum...
  12. Is Burt Bee's Gluten free? Their website says to contact them but no other info. Just wondering if anyone has gotten that info yet?
  13. Annie's Mac and Cheese...not my favorite...but it's food...
  14. Maybe yes, maybe no. My niece was positive on all blood tests and WAY positive, over 100 but was asymptomatic and they did not find any intestinal damage..8 biopsies done too. Endoscopes are only as good as the person performing them and if they miss the spots where there is damage, it's not accurate either. The right blood tests are nearly 100% accurate...
  15. Has anyone eaten gluten-free at Arby's? Next leg of my trip my restaurant choices are Arby's and the grocery store... According to their website their meat and cheeses are gluten-free. They do have some salads so I can do that if I need to but do you just order a pile of meat. I don't see anything about them having gluten-free buns so I'm guessing that...
  16. The "natural" peanut butter just replaces some fat with sugar....

  18. The TT IgA is the test for Celiac disease. If the IgA they ran at first was just a total IgA, that is a test for immune issues and the 49.5 would depend on the range but it could be low or the low side of normal The TT IgA is the test they should have done to start with. I would call the dr's back and get copies of the actual lab reports so you can see...
  19. I like apples and celery with peanut butter as well as bananas.
  20. 504 Plans are individual plans and not likely to be shared because of privacy issues. They are written documents that tell a school what they have to provide for a child. Each child will have different accommodations based on their own needs. That will not really help you educate the day care. The biggest thing they need to learn is that your child can...
  21. Well, I guess you could read it that way but I didn't say I could only find, I said I finally found...again, I'm new at all of this and if the package doesn't say gluten-free, I'm not buying it right now until I get more experience with the chemical names and what not. I also don't think the "old timers" on here realize how confusing their information is...
  22. Open Original Shared Link Ok, I found this. I understand your concern with the travel packs. I've found a few products that are gluten free in their normal line but some of their variations are not--like Reeses Peanut Butter cups...the regular ones are gluten-free but their holiday shaped ones, like the eggs over Easter, are not! Being that I am still...
  23. My next leg of this trip is in extended stay hotels, but it's not always an option. Like I said, I haven't stayed in a Hampton Inn lately that hasn't had at least a fridge. I checked my booking and it says that there is a fridge and microwave so I'm not losing my mind, but that was from my corporate travel site, not the hotel directly. I'll have to double...
  24. Funny--I got some cut up celery and they had an individual Jif Peanut Butter cup with it so I was searching to see if they were gluten-free--about 2 hours ago. Regular Jif is gluten-free, but their website doesn't say anything about the to-go cups. The cup I got was not labeled so I don't really know. I got the regular creamy, not the natural though. ...
  25. I thought there was one with the cooler....I will pick one up but I didn't know I needed it until about 3 hours ago.....the purpose of the cooler was to keep my food cold in the car driving from one town to the next. I wasn't anticipating needing it in the hotel room....
