  1. I'd just call every day or two and see if they can get you in sooner--someone cancels--or ask if they have a waiting list.
  2. I plan as much as I can, but I could get a call today and have to leave tomorrow morning..or get a call this morning and have to leave this afternoon...I don't always have time. I have a small bag packed with some food that is safe now, but that is enough for a meal or two. I'll take a photo some time of the choices I have while traveling....
  3. Made chicken breasts marinaded in Walden Farms Bacon Ranch dressing--gluten-free and NO calories . and then breaded with some bread crumbs I made from the ends of my Udi bread. Nummy. Hubs made cupcakes from a King Arthur (I think) box mix. They are a little dry but not bad. I got some Cream Cheese frosting to put on them.
  4. Go back to eating gluten, ask for a Celiac panel to be run--all of the tests and see if you are or are not Celiac. If they won't run the tests, go to a private lab and ask for them to run the tests. That way you will know one way or another. The tests are not accurate if you are not eating gluten at the time.
  5. Does she drink milk/eat dairy? That was a huge eczema trigger for my son--in conjunction with his asthma. I would have her checked for both asthma and lactose intolerance. This is also the kid that refuses to get tested for Celiac so he may or may not have that as well.
  6. Anything over 20 is a strong positive, you were over 100, which is probably why they did not do the scope. My TT IgA came back at 35 and my TT IgG was at 65 for reference. I guess it depends on what your doctor recommends but I know I have to go back in 3 months for follow-up testing and then if the numbers look good then, follow-up at a year. If you feel...
  7. Went to the grocery store for milk and they had Nut Thins on sale so I got those, $2.50/box . Now that most of the new labels are on the shelves, It sure was quicker picking out foods today. I didn't get much but everything I picked up said Gluten Free right on the label.
  8. You could also check with a food pantry or soup kitchen in your area to see if they would take the rice?
  9. Thanks for pointing out the date . Searching for updated Target info I found this... Open Original Shared Link handy...no idea what this center is though. Target online show a pretty extensive gluten-free selection of items only sold in stores now, a few of them are Archer Farms. With the new labeling laws, hopefully Archer Farms will catch up. I...
  10. I agree, you hit markers, you are Celiac. Your TTIgA is very high. What is the plan for you now?
  11. I have some weight I would gladly give you!!!
  12. Made pork chops and roasted potatoes. My son called the clinic back to ask about the testing--they told him they couldn't do the Celiac testing--um, then WHY did you do ANY tests???
  13. Thanks for the suggestion!!! I LOVE Nutella and bananas!!!!
  14. I brought food to eat because I figured that they wouldn't have anything gluten-free--and we purposely arrived "after" lunch time so they wouldn't feel like they needed to make us anything--they sprung the going out to eat on us so I just did the best I could. I'll have to get some salad dressing packets though That is a good idea! I will pass...
  15. Did your doctor do the blood tests for celiac before you went gluten free? Having one of the genes is not enough to make a diagnosis!
  16. I suppose...she "thought" their thousand island was gluten-free...they had an Italian but no oil and vinegar option....small mom and pop place....great food...they have an amazing soup that I LOVE....but can't have any more.....hubs was getting a little perturbed ......we need to start celiac classes for him.....
  17. Nice find...do they just do the farmers market or are they around during the week too?
  18. Yesterday was interesting.....traveling, stopped to visit the in-laws...they decided that we would go out for lunch because she didn't know what I could eat...ok...restaurant not gluten-free or really gluten friendly. Ended up with a plain salad, no dressing because the waitress didn't know what was in the dressings and a steak that probably was ok. Then...
  19. It's unlikely that just a couple hours of being gluten free is going to have any effect and while it's possible you have celiac, I would lean toward a reaction to the vaccine. Did you call your dr about your symptoms.
  20. My lab results listed several other possible causes for my intestinal damage but given I was positive on every lab test, they were pretty certain it was celiac. My daughter's labs and biopsy came back "normal" but they are attributing her symptoms to her immune issues.
  21. This is where the gluten-free fad diets hurt us. Sure, the ingredients are gluten-free, but CC is an issue for sure. Hopefully your question sparked the chef to look into things better. If this is a place you like to go, maybe call and make an appointment with the chef to talk about CC and gluten-free diets for those with Celiac. He may or may not be...
  22. Are you in the San Diego area ?
  23. Yikes....where are the ships going?
  24. My friend that just had the same gets called back because of scar tissue from a needle biopsy done about 15 years ago. It was just a cyst . Prayers that your results are the same.
  25. In my experience, all of the labs that are run on the same test come back together so the Free T4 would have come back with the TSH and even if it was flagged and not showing up with TSH in the normal range like that, your T4 isn't going to be abnormally high--it could still be out of range but chances of that being the only cause for your symptoms are slim...
