I agree that it is quite possible that you can get off those drugs. I would add, that some supplements can really help. Vitamin B12 and magnesium are two which have proven very important for brain health. Omega-3 fatty acids are apparently important as well. So it should help to take some of those, especially during the early stages of your recovery. -

If it were me, I'd remove both dairy and gluten from the diet at the same time. One good reason is that many have similar reactions to both, so if either one remains in the diet, there might not be enough change in symptoms to really know. Last I saw, Imperial had whey in it, so it would not be casein-free, nor lactose-free for that matter. Earth Balance is gluten-free and dairy-free, though I think it has canola, and soy in it.
