  1. Can you get her to drink Ensure high protein? I mix the vanilla one with my favorite chocolate drink so it tastes the way I like. What foods does she currently eat?
  2. Boarshead all natural uncured ham and Boarshead muenster with lettuce and tomato on Canyon Bakehouse deli rye. Dip in italian dressing. Egg salad with Land O'Lakes american cheese on CB plain bagel. Tuna fish with lettuce on white bread. Italian hoagie on Schar baguette. Ham and LOL american cheese, lettuce on white bread. Steak,...
  3. Use a cooler with ice packs. Then you can have sandwiches, snacks, and a cold drink or two.
  4. Different foods have different effects on what comes out. Too much cheese causes constipation, too much of some fruits, like apples, do the opposite. So if your stools are too soft, eating more cheese will fix and if they are too hard, more fruit, veggies will fix. And there can be a delay of a couple of days. On top of that, if you have intestinal issues...
  5. People here are told to go to a gastroenterologist for an endoscopy if they show high on any one test. They are not told they have celiac. Weak high numbers can be other things, but strong high numbers are celiac most of the time. That's what my gastro told me. As nobody here is a doctor we can only give an opinion.
  6. Barilla makes great tasting gluten free pasta, Etalia makes a great artisan style bread, Canyon Bakehouse makes great bagels and sandwich bread so your good to go there. Canyon also makes focaccia but I've never tried it and it couldn't possibly compare to my sisters focaccia.
  7. The first test is used to verify that a low on an IGA test is valid. In your case it is valid. A high on any one of the other 4 tests should lead to an endoscopy to confirm celiac.
  8. Has she had a repeat of the blood testing for celiac? Have the numbers gone down? If she hasn't had a repeat blood test perhaps she should so that you could see if she still getting gluten. If her blood tests are normal perhaps her doctors could check her for other issues. If her blood tests are high then she could be getting gluten from somewhere like school...
  9. If you need any suggestions for gluten free equivalents just ask. Lots of different opinions on foods here.
  10. Having celiac means you have to buy brand b instead of brand a. A diagnosis for most people just means they have to go gluten free. Think of it in phases. phase 1 - eat all of your favorite stuff with wheat, barley and rye until after the official diagnosis. phase 2 - eat stews and simple foods until your symptoms go away. phase 3 - eat whatever...
  11. You could have the full celiac panel done to see if any other numbers come up high. TTG IGA and IGG, DGP IGA and IGG, EMA. If your doctor is not a gastroenterologist then you can try going to one. They know what to test for. You could also simplify your diet and start a food log. Gradually introduce foods and when stomach pains start you can see...
  12. Are you sure TTG IGA was 1? Anyway, a high on any one test should lead to a gastroenterologist doing an endoscopy to confirm celiac. Your not supposed to go gluten free until after all testing is done. Your results show high for dgp iga and dgp igg. Not a doc, my opinion only.
  13. Have you tried Caputo Fiore Glut flour? It is mentioned alot on the pizza making forum.
  14. I'm a New York pizza snob and several months ago I made a pizza with Etalia frozen pizza crust. It flopped like a NY pizza should and didn't have any weird aftertaste or smell. This will be my goto pizza crust for making NY pizza.
  15. Yep, those results mean you should get an appt with a gastroenterologist for an endoscopy.
  16. I was always partial to Corn Pops (pre gluten free). The gluten free equivalent is Gorilla Munch which I liked alot the time I tried it.
  17. Betty Crocker gluten free chocolate cake mix makes great cupcakes! Bake a batch, frost them, freeze them and you'll be all set. You just have to learn the exact baking time to get them just right. Too long and they are dry, but just the right time and they are quite yummy.
  18. When you cave, what are you eating? There's gluten free equivalents for everything.
  19. If you decide to get an endoscopy from a gastroenterologist you have to be eating gluten every day for a few weeks. It's up to you whether or not to get it. Officially a high on any one celiac blood test should result in a gastro doing an endoscopy to make an official diagnosis. I don't know how much of that is to rule out cancer if at all. With your numbers...
  20. First off, I am not a doctor, just some stranger on the internet. When it says 'out of range' it means high. So your TTG IGA is high, DGP IGA is high, DGP IGG is high. I imagine the reason your doctors said you had celiac is because failing three tests means you have celiac. I don't think any other disease can cause so many fails and your DBP IGG is off by...
  21. Test results show ranges as well. Can you post those as well? It would say high is > 10 or whatever.
  22. Sorry, my post belongs in someone elses question. Must have posted it here by mistake.
  23. I don't know how old your daughter is so I don't know how appropriate my response is. I would try to find a simple diet one day that doesn't give her any problems. Say a piece of chicken, potatoes, summer squash and butter. If, by the next afternoon, she doesn't have any pains write it down in the logbook and add on a simple food or two the next day. If...
  24. A high on any one celiac test should result in a gastroenterologist doing an endoscopy to see if there is a positive diagnosis of celiac. There are members here that were only high on one test.
