  1. Here's the gluten statement on Bailey's website. It sounds like a CYA statement to me, but I haven't tried drinking it, so I don't know...
  2. Let's just say there are never many leftovers. Luckily, I make the waffles the day before I'm planning on serving them, and then I freeze them. A batch makes 10 waffles. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't get a bite because I'm always the last to eat when I cook breakfast.
  3. He he he... The things we'll do for our men, huh? Did you try using the flavor finder on the website? They had a section where you could put in your zip code and see where a specific flavor was located.
  4. Sure thing! I posted the recipe here a few weeks ago. Open Original Shared Link Enjoy! I topped mine with blueberries and GV brand whipped cream. I believe Reddi Whip is gluten free as well. Any fruit would work. I like the canned stuff that's already sweetened, though unsweetened fruit is probably much better for you. I'm sure any fruit would work.
  5. I went out looking for this today. Ugh... I can't find it anywhere, even where they say they should have it. I'm hoping they get it on the shelves soon. I've never had cake flavored ice cream and it sounds really good to me right now. I did get the peanut butter cup one and it is excellent.
  6. Wendy's is probably a little safer than Subway just because they don't bake fresh bread on site so they don't have flour floating around in the air like Subway. It's still a relatively risky place to eat. Though, I must admit, I don't think I've ever been glutened at a Wendy's.
  7. It was recommended to me by my doctor (take it for what it's worth) to get my child tested every 5 years with no symptoms or at the onset of any symptoms. I have yet to have her tested because my pediatrician was resistant. She is now gluten free and doing much better. If you're worried about your children developing Celiac, you could always have them gene...
  8. If you get a waffle maker, make sure you get a decent one. Some of the ultra-cheapies don't cook the waffles evenly. I got a GE and I love mine. It was relatively inexpensive at about $18. I make a huge batch of waffles on the weekend and then freeze them so I can have quick breakfasts during the week. It's definitely worthwhile for us because my daughter...

    ARCHIVED Hi All.

Welcome welcome welcome! So glad you're starting to feel much better. Healing is a long process, but the week to week improvements are amazing. Oh, and Nancym said about computerized training programs... If you're interested in using one, try Mavis Beacon. It's the most fun one that I've ever tried. I used to "play" it like a video game when I was younger...
  10. I use Crest. I believe all flavors are gluten free.
  11. I forgot to mention that Dr. Brown's bottles helped a considerable amount for us with gas. It also, believe it or not, cut down on dirty diapers just a smidge and helped her stay full a little longer. I guess because of reduced air in her belly. It could have been timing too, who knows, but Dr. Brown's worked very well for us. They're God awful expensive...
  12. Most spaghetti sauces are gluten free. All Classico spaghetti sauces are gluten free per their website's statement. I believe Ragu is gluten free also, but double check that. I don't think tomato paste generally contains wheat flour. I could be wrong though.
  13. Woah... The cheese and everything is gluten free?
  14. Welcome! Did you improve when you went on the gluten free diet? Do you need a positive diagnosis to maintain a gluten free lifestyle? I think the blood tests being positive should have been enough, but I'm not a doctor. I never had the biopsy and I'm positive that I have Celiac. I tried to go back on gluten to get a biopsy, but I got entirely too sick after...
  15. Here's the Open Original Shared Link. I'd love to open up a gluten free IHOP, but I fear that I'd get awfully... *clears throat* large... I can't help but eat everything I cook. Ugh... Now I'm craving nachos... Does anyone have a good nacho cheese recipe? Like the kind at the movie theater... Gosh, how I miss those.
  16. Welcome welcome welcome! It's really nice to hear others' stories. If you go to get your other son tested, keep in mind that if he's already mostly gluten free that it will likely show negative results. You have to be eating quite a bit of gluten, I believe, for the test to come up positive. As for your little Celiac's hunger, perhaps his intestines aren...
  17. Mmmm... Cravings... Well, I'm pregnant, so mine are likely a bit odd. Right now I have a thing for applesauce and pepper jack cheese (not on the same spoon). Pickels taste really good to me right now. Grilled cheese sandwiches, green beans, and corn are great too. I'm also seriously digging sierra mist and fruit punch mixed. I know, so fifth grade, right...
  18. That's interesting about the feet. I've always found that within minutes of walking my feet are getting sore already. It usually only takes an hour before I'm in real pain. I guess maybe that's why. I always just thought I never had good shoes. Lately though, I've been buying really good shoes and I still have this problem.
  19. Funny, they told me the same thing about once Tori started solids, and I didn't notice a change at all either. Perhaps he needs more starch? I never tried upping Tori's starch intake, perhaps it would have helped. I wish I had some answers for you. I would bet that he's hungrier because of the hypoallergenic formula though. Is it pre-digested? I know, I know...
  20. Wow, you could be writing about my little Tori. Thankfully she grew out of it as my pediatrician was useless. It took until almost two years old for her to stop spitting up CONSTANTLY. She never did the projectile vomitting, but she spit up between 3-8 times per feeding, even at over a year old. Hopefully you'll be able to figure something out with Ian. I...
  21. Welcome welcome welcome! I hope that some of your other issues will resolve themselves or lessen once your body begins to heal on the gluten free diet. This forum is absolutely wonderful and it's the first place I come when I have a question. Read through some of the older posts and I'm sure you'll find a ton of invaluable information. Anyway, just wanted...
  22. Welcome to the board! I'm glad you were able to get in with your GI so quickly.
  23. We normally get snow by Thanksgiving, but we have yet to get a real snow this winter. It's so odd. Normally we have at least one decent snow with a foot. We haven't had any. I'm so jealous.
  24. 1. How is the restaurant prepared to battle cross contamination? (ie: seperate food prep areas, dedicated utensils, salad setup, etc.) 2. Will the restaurant ensure that all ingredients are gluten free so they can know exactly what is safe for Celiacs and what isn't? 3. Will the restaurant ever use items that differ from their usual ingredients and...
